I wish you could leave 0 stars. First, I was hoping that the online car shopping business was not as shady as it could be. And given that the entire concept is based on customer satisfaction, I was hoping for the best. However, not only was the vehicle they sold me in an accident, the airbags had deployed, but they denied that it had been in an accident. Also upon providing proof, and letting them know that they should NOT resell this vehicle, as it is unsafe and unfit to drive, they immediately posted it back on their website. I pity the poor soul who purchased that mess, as right now, it's "pending purchase". Their seven day return policy... may work if you don't have a trade. I "traded" my vehicle for this awful purchase, and let me describe the time frame: Ordered the vehicle for an "exclusive preview", photos were to be available in 9 days. 15 business days later, I called for an update, magically the car was now available. Went to the Carvana location to pick it up, and immediately it didn't feel right. The breaks need replaced, the headlights didn't work, and there is a leak in the exhaust. Thought I would give the benefit of the doubt, and seven days right? So, after driving it away on a Saturday, I called Monday to request my car back, that I would not be purchasing their vehicle. Ironically - I couldn't make the swap until that Saturday...? Suspicious. That Saturday, after driving this unsafe and un-inspected vehicle for a week, I went to pick up my car, which I had to request they keep on location. Everything is fine and good, I tell the customer service rep all of the issues with the car, and how it shouldn't have even left their lot, and got in my car, and drove away. After making it home, I realized that I didn't get my title back. So, since they are closed on Sunday, I called first thing Monday morning. I was told the title went to their home office location in Arizona, and their title team would FedEx it back to me within a few days. A few days go by, and no word on where my title is. Since I'm actively shopping for a vehicle, I found a reputable dealer, and go to purchase a vehicle. Low and behold, I don't have the title for my trade. I call Carvana 3 more times. And finally, they admit that they "lost my title", and "we can't find it". They tell me to go to the DMV and request a new one. After I tell them that I'm purchasing a new car and need my title in order to make the trade, they tell me that they'll reimburse the expense to request a duplicate title. This is pathetic. How does a company LOSE a title?!! For a car that wasn't even theirs, or in their possession for longer than 7 days? I would strongly discourage anyone looking for a vehicle to purchase from Carvana. I have worked at a car dealership in the past, and Carvana is the type of company that gives used car dealerships a bad reputation.
They are shady, irresponsible, and unethical. Avoid them at all cost. read more
