No good liars. Promised me a clean car ready to go. Promised if I could find a ride new years eve the 20miles there that they would make it worth my time& give me a amazing deal&have everything ready since my ride was on a strict schedule. Get there & not ready, then bring out the suppose to be clean, ready to go ride which turns out wasn't ready as it had a engine light on & wasnt even through the shop yet. So I scanned it with my OBD2 scan tool & it had a bad fuel pump, bad fuel pump regulator & terrible fuel pressure. Then the pictures provided strategically left out the areas of bad body damage. Doors were rotten & completely falling apart at bottoms, engine bay was full of eaten acorns so had squirrels living in there. All 4 tires was bald & steering was rough& out of alignment. Then after all that I was told I could get $1,000 off if I took as is which even if it was perfect would have brought the price close to the carfax value so no deal whatsoever. They told me I could wait a few days while they fix it up but if they do then no discount which their current price was $900 above blue book& carfax value. Then when I called out the lies I was told oh its only the used cars sales managers 2nd day. Then after all that BS they blow me up the next day saying they wanted to thank me for pointing out all the issues on that vehicle & they agree its unsuitable for sale & was delisted & they wanted to make up for it by offering me newer with less miles for similar price. We'll their idea of rewarding me with a newer vehicle at similar price was to show me vehicles $5000 more than what the lemon was(didn't realize 5k more was a similar price)with 0 discount. Just more lies then he pulls the old salesman gas light BS when I said how is 5k more similar in price & his response was well there's value in buying new with less miles & they could gladly finance me after I told them multiple times the day before I'm absolutely not interested in financing. So in the end their amazing year end savings with a deal I could absolutely not pass up with the long drive being well worth my wild & time was beyond a bust costing me $ & wasting a whole day. read more

I went to Shorkey Ford to look at a f150 I saw listed. I have been shopping for a truck for a few months and this was right with what I am looking for. Price was right and it looked brand new even though it was a 2016. I was greeted by Brett and talked about the truck and my trade and where I wanted to be as far as a monthly payment. At first we were quite a bit off, but Brett went above and beyond what I expected. He definitely got his steps in going back and forth to make me and the Mrs happy knowing I really loved this vehicle. After a couple coffees and bottles of water and pleasant conversation on getting to know each other he did not want me to leave without the keys to the truck. I will stress that he was anything but pushy but rather willing to do what it would take to make me happy. Needless to say his hard work and sincerity got me in the drivers seat. A special shout out to Angie who was extremely helpful and gracious in walking me through the painstaking mountain of signing and even sharing on how to get a rebate on gap insurance I had now idea. and to the detailing crew who insisted on cleaning the truck like new when I felt it was totally unnecessary. It's clear that Jim Shorkey Ford only cares about maximizing their profits by taking advantage of their customers. I was pressured into purchasing a $1500 protection package (Luxcare XT) after explicitly declining it multiple times. Jim Shorkey Ford refused my request to refund my money and made no effort to resolve the issue. I expressed my concern to both the finance manager (Tony) and the general manager (Alfy), only to be told repeatedly that the car had already been treated and that the money was non-refundable. This excuse seems all too convenient for them. After looking into the Luxcare XT product further, it turns out to be nothing more than common paint sealant, wax, and water repellant - likely worth well less than $100. This product provides very little value for the absurd and unjustifiable cost of $1500. I feel exploited and ultimately deceived. The sales process at Jim Shorkey Ford is intentionally confusing and predatory. I'm shocked that a reputable business would refuse to refund my money for a product that I'm extremely dissatisfied with and didn't want to buy in the first place. read more

I wanted to share one of my WORST experiences ever at a dealership. I drove just about an hour to look at a particular vehicle at Jim Shorkey FORD. After looking at the original vehicle we went there for, we ended up changing our minds after being told by D***n about a $10K reduction ("rebates") in price of a different car. I thought well heck that's a no brainer. We then did the sales dance and I negotiated a value to my trade, made a deal, and shook hands. Then came the interest rate conversation. I have good credit and was surprised at the rate they told me at first. After challenging it, I was told that original number was a mistake, and it was actually .5% lower. They were playing with my money now and it seemed very quick to pivot the change in rate as a "Mistake". My wife really wanted the car, so I gave them the first mistake with the benefit of the doubt. Now I wanted to see what I was actually paying with details after hearing what my payment was going to be. That number didn't match my calculations. When I asked to see the final price of vehicle, I was surprised to see it was $4000 higher than discussed. I asked where my price went? After hearing three excuses and not knowing what the truth was anymore, I was getting frustrated and started feeling like they were trying to pull a fast one. After challenging what the heck was going on, D***n basically blamed me to for seeing and accepting what was on their " 4 block". Which is their sneaky was to not show you the actual price of the vehicle you are buying. That was last straw for me, and I walked out. I told them on my exit, that this was unprofessional. Now I'm pissed after wasting a entire afternoon and disappointing my wife. When I went home, I verified the price online to match what we shook hands on (-$10K). I double looked and read for any fine print just to make sure I wasn't crazy, but there was nothing. So, they literally switch the price on me after verbally telling me a price and not matching what was online. The next day the Sale Manager called me to see what happen. They wanted to "earn my business" by telling me the same excuses that his salesman told me, but never really acknowledge that his D***n did not know the terms of the $10K rebates. Isn't that a salesperson's job?.....The sunny side of this story is that I got a better deal from a different dealer who were honest and straight forward with me. This other dealership matched beat the deal I originally made. Which they also saw online at $10K less. LOL. While comparing they also pulled the vin and said the car I almost bought was coded as a demo of some kind and it would have been sold to me as a used vehicle. That's interesting since they said it would be titled new. So, I dodged that bullet. Lesson learned. Never try to buy a car on Friday the 13th and be careful who you deal with. Also don't do the four-block thing that looks at payments. Ask for the price of the car you are buying and value on your trade. read more

i only very infrequently post reviews but one is in order. Stephen helped an employee of mine, who had some credit challenges, purchase a vehicle last week. The original car she was interested in sold quickly which was disappointing but Stephen worked very hard to find her another vehicle that actually was even better than the original one. He was going on holiday during the time we were hoping to purchase a vehicle and he had another sales person assist us in his absence who was equally fantastic. Both Stephen and his associate were professional, prompt, responsive, friendly, authentic and knowledgeable. Truly a pleasure to deal with. The finance team was equally impressive. They were able to work through the credit issues and had her to approved quickly. I am thankful for their help. I highly recommend this group to anyone who is in need of a new or used vehicle. Adam from the other Jim Shorkey Dealership helped us tremendously also. Thank you to your entire team! it was refreshing to work with a car dealership who was so helpful and well run. We had intended to purchase from Cochran West Hills dealership because it is very close to where my employee lives but that dealership was utterly incompetent. On January 6th, we drove 2 hours one way to look at Bronco Sport that Jim Shorkey Ford had. We called beforehand, was told it was available and set up an appointment. We were there for 2.5 hours negotiating and everything. By the end we made a deal to buy the car. The salesman and I signed all the appropriate paperwork and I even put money down to hold the car until Tuesday. Giving me time to get the title from the bank and new insurance straightened around. I talked to Brett, the salesman, both Monday and Tuesday morning to tie up last minute things before coming down Tuesday night to get the car. Everything was going fine. A few hours before leaving for our 2 hour drive to get the vehicle, I get a called from Brett saying there was an issue he just found about getting the title for the Bronco. I was confused, and he told me he'd call me back. I was then called back by Dicky Miller, and he then told me that they didn't even have the title for the 2021 Bronco Sport that was sitting on their lot that they were trying to sell me. They then tried to talk me into buying a brand new one since they couldn't give me the car that we both SIGNED the contract for, and I placed money down for. We never really got an actual explanation about what was happening, just that their Ford rep wouldn't let them buy the title. After all of this happened and we were told that we could no longer get the car. I then had to call them again and tell them to refund me the money that I put down which took hours to get straightened out. Also, it was impossible to get ahold of any one other than the salesman to answer our questions. I would not recommend Jim Shorkey Ford. What they pulled on us was ridiculous and unprofessional. But we all know that if I would've been the one to back out of a SIGNED contract, I would have lost my $500. They never fully explained what was happening and seems like they weren't trying give us any details. Since it was a huge mistake on their end having car on their lot that they never even had the title for in the first place. We will never go there again and will be telling everyone we know who is car shopping to avoid them as well. read more

Before I even start with my issues and you say that I should have taken my truck to another dealer, I will say this. I am stubborn. The people that work here took my money and put it in their pockets when I bought my truck. The money I work everyday for. I want them to stand behind their products and make it right. Not pass me off to someone else, as they've suggested to me to do. I have nothing positive to say about my experience here after the sale. Bought a certified used F-150 with 18,000 miles on it, even purchased the extended warranty. The truck was burning a quart of oil every thousand miles. I called to schedule my truck to come back for warranty, explaining that I worked 7 days a week and couldn't be without a vehicle. I was told for 4-5 months that I was 15th on the list for a loaner car. After that, I spoke with the service manager who informed me that I was never put on the list because they had to run an oil consumption test. It was hard for me to find time to get it to the ford dealer, which is an hour away, so I was told to take it to their sister dealer which is much closer. Jim Shorkey Kia had no issues taking an appointment after I explained what was going on. They took my truck, did the state inspection and an oil change and told me they couldn't do any of my warranty work, wasting my time. Once I was finally able to get it to the ford dealer, I was told to bring it back after 3,000 miles to have the oil checked. So when I was at 2,700 miles, I called to schedule an appointment and inform them that the oil level wasn't even on the dipstick. I was once again informed that I had been given the wrong information. They told me to add oil and we would have to start the process over again. The test is to bring the truck back every 200 miles 5 times. I work weekends and it's 80 miles round trip to the dealer. I wouldn't be able to work and keep it at 200 miles. I offered them to take my truck and use it to put miles on or even give it to a tech and let them drive it, I just needed a way to get to work. They did nothing. Absolutely no effort to help a customer. I spent a lot of money on a truck so I would have a reliable vehicle and they will do nothing to back their brand. Every time I spoke with someone I got the same answer "I understand why you're mad. I'd be mad too. I'm going to do whatever it takes to make it right" and nothing would ever happen. I finally cleared my weekend work schedule so I can get the test done. I show up, they do the test and I was then told I wouldn't have to bring it back at all. I lost two weekends of work because I told them I couldn't be there. They apparently had a plan to get my truck fixed and told me they would take care of it. 5 weeks later, I sent an email asking what the plan was because I hadn't heard anything. A week later, I started calling because I still hadn't received any information or call from them. Finally after two days of calling and leaving voicemails, I was told I was on the list for a loaner car. Once my truck finally made it back, I waited two weeks without a word from them. No calls saying what they found, how long it would take or anything. Once again I called and called before anyone would even answer me. Finally on a Friday I got ahold of them and was told they had submitted everything for warranty. I was told they would probably get approval by Monday and he may have my truck done late that week or early the following week. I didn't hear anymore about it so the following Monday, I stopped in since I was working in the area. Walked right up to my service advisor who was busy watching videos on his computer about the NFL, which clearly takes precedence over calling customers. I was informed that they needed to submit more pictures and hadn't even gotten approval yet. I get things happen. I get that warranty approval takes time. All I'm asking for is to be kept in the loop so I can plan some work for my truck. I am doing all the leg work. No calls from them. No response to an email, not even a text saying what's going on. Customer service is non existent here. I need my truck to do work. That's why I bought a truck. I'm so frustrated with this place, I've asked their sales manager to appraise my truck to buy it back. I can't even trust their service department to return my call, why would I trust them rebuilding my engine. I texted the sales manager to let him know I was dropping off my truck and wanted it appraised. In the month that followed, I received 3 phone called asking me to schedule a time to bring it in and have it appraised. I informed them that the truck was already there in their service department. They said they would get me a price and get back to me. 4 weeks in, not one phone call from any of them. read more

When I first went here the experience was no different here's another headache waiting to happen, but at my surprise when the issue I was having was brought to there attention and there was nothing but genuine dedication and care given to get it fixed. The manager here is so nice. They don't pressure you into buying anything. I wouldn't wish car shopping on my worst enemy but Jim Shorkey makes it bearable. My first time here I lingered around until I found the car I wanted and they were very patient with me. I took it for a test drive and fell in love with my brand new Fiesta. That was over a year ago and they still have quite the impression on me. The waiting rooms are nice and most of the staff are geniuely awesome people. Hopefully I won't need to go car shopping any time soon but I will most definitely get another Jim Shorkey car. I had a coolant leak and could not find the source. Figured I would give Shorkey Ford a shot being that I had some luck with their predecessor. Pros: The shop found the source of the leak and repaired it. The part had to be ordered and I was supplied with a car at no cost to me. Repairs were completed by due date and time. Cons: The $600.00 price tag seemed a little excessive for a radiator hose. I kept being offered other services ( I understand this, but I just wanted the hose repaired). I may or may not use Shorkey again. Wasn't a great experience, but not horrible either. read more

There were a lot of snobby dealerships that would not even give me the attention I deserved and I walked away. I called here and the salesperson Keith was nice and attentive to my needs. I guess this location just opened and the VP even got on my initial sales call. I was not in the market for a car for another month or so, but they were so welcoming that I went in that day. I told them what I wanted and they worked their hardest to meet my needs. Every other dealership made me feel that I had to have lots of money and top notch credit before they would talk to me. Completely unprofessional. Wasted out time & money. What's even worse is they are now sending me automated emails from their General Manager Mike Cross thanking us for our business (this is after Michael apparently 'fixed' this issue when we received an email from their Service Manager Matt Duck thanking us for our business). The worst place for an oil change. I bought my truck from them and was told that I have to go there for oil changes to honor my lifetime warranty. So I did and bought the 5 oil change package. I went and had my oil changed on a Friday evening. I had planned to haul topsoil the next day to complete yardwork. After getting a load of topsoil and driving home, I started to smell something. With a heavy load I thought it was my brakes. When I got to my mother's (where I am doing the work), unloaded some of the dirt and moved my truck, I noticed oil on the grass. After I moved my truck and unloaded more dirt, I purposely went back and looked for oil. To make this short...Shorkey never tightened my drain plug. I had no oil and no way to get some. I called them, they gave me the run around and disconnected me. I called back and left a message for "Jim the 3rd". Days later no call back. I drive to them and again get the runaround. I showed them pictures and asked for a refund. I was told that they can not refund the money as "this is not a Jim Shorkey product". I showed them the key tag for the oil change package that says "Jim shorkey Auto group". Still nothing. I was told I would get a call. 2 days later I did. Nothing but the same crap. I will take the loss and never go back. The service department is horrible I took my truck in every 5000 miles, had a coupon for oil change tire rotation top off fluid for 69.99 I took it in , ask if they rotated my tires and was told no. I waited 2 hours for the service to be done to be told if you come back on Saturday we can try to fit you in to rotate tires, so I paid for a service I never received because I wasn't going back! I called for a brake controller for my trailer was quoted $350 installed called another dealer got the brake controller installed plus oil change tire rotation for $220. I bought out my lease and was waiting for my title to come back which was over a month, called Jim Shorkey to see where it was and was told she had my title but she was on vacation and she still has to send to Harrisburg I think they had it for at least 2 weeks before she sent it to Harrisburg. Nobody else could do her job while she was on vacation??!!!! A total of 2 months later I still don't have my title now I need to see if she ever even sent it to Harrisburg or if she's still catching up on her work since nobody else can do her job while she's on vacation and everything sits. read more

Jim Shorkey Ford contacted me about a used car I am selling online & asked me to set up an appt. to have the car appraised & possibly purchased by them to add to their used car inventory. We were promised an appt. of no more than 30 minutes by the salesperson who contacted me, so we obliged. My husband rearranged his work schedule & was there right on time. Evidently, he was the only one adhering to a schedule and respecting others' time that day... The staff left him sitting there waiting for 45+ minutes because of a last minute meeting convened by the owner. None of the appraisers would/could leave the meeting; no appraisers were reachable from any other locations. A sales person who was formerly an appraiser finally offered to drive around the parking lot with my husband in case her review would suffice for the dealership to make an offer. My husband left & never heard back from anyone he talked to that morning, including the disorganized salesperson who asked us to come in for the consultation in the first place. The most disappointing part of all, however, is that I called the dealership that afternoon to give my feedback to the general manager. He was still in the meeting, so I left a message with someone asking for a call back. Two full days later, I've yet to receive a call back from him or anyone else at the dealership with a simple apology for their horrendous service. I contacted Jim Shorkey Ford regarding a vehicle advertised on their web site. I spoke with Andrea and asked if the vehicle was still available as I would have to drive about 45 minutes to see it. She spoke with the manager Walt Swanstrom and assured me that the vehicle was there. We made an appointment for 1 PM and she asked for my assurance that I would call if we would not be there. I agreed and she told me to ask for Walt which is what my husband and I did when we arrived. Instead of seeing Walt, I met with a salesman and told him I was there to see a particular car. He went to get the keys and when he came back he said that the car was not there. He made an attempt to find it and stated that it must be at their detailing shop for cleaning, which was closed by the way. He then took us to another of their dealerships nearby and showed us a vehicle similar to what we were interested in. I explained that it was disappointing that we had called and confirmed that the vehicle was there before we made the trip and I told the salesman that I wanted to speak with Walt. We went back to Jim Shorkey Ford and the salesman, who was great by the way, went to get the manager Walt. We noticed a flurry of activity and were told that they had sent people out to track down the vehicle. My husband and I waited and had still not been able to talk with the manager. After getting to the dealership and waiting about 2 hours we were told that the "similar" vehicle we were taken to see was actually the vehicle we had called about but the tag had been marked wrong. We looked at the vehicle again and attempted to make a deal but I feel that they really"low balled" the trade in value of my current car. I left that dealership insulted and angry and felt that mine and my husband's day had been wasted. We were also upset ,and again insulted that the manager, Walt Swanstrom, would not even talk with us let alone offer an apology about the inconvenience.
