Although my husband and I were impressed with the numbers, we felt we would need to wait a few months until we would be ready to buy the EXACT 2018 Outlander we wanted (the Limited Edition). A Representative who was there for a special New Year's Vehicle Upgrade Program Event came and spoke with us. He listened to our situation and actually found a very surprising way to help us. Since PA doesn't allow dealers to give you 90 days without a payment..... "How about WE cut YOU a check for those 3 months?" Huh?! Poor repair could have cost my life and could have cost my husband his! All true. On 4/18/26 I went to Jim Shorkey Auto Group to have a routine oil change and tire rotation. Upon my arrival, they submitted a list of additional repairs they suggested be done at once totaling $1141.00. I declined the additional repairs to have the assessment done at my dealership and repair shop where I live. I got an oil change and tire rotation as I always do. Upon returning to Columbus I was on my way to work on 05/18/2026 and heard a pop. Calling my husband, he drove from Columbus to Mansfield where I work to drive my car home for safety. As I followed behind him I could see my wheel wobbling. We turned off the interstate and immediately my entire front passenger wheel came off of the car!!! I had to have my car towed back to Columbus costing me $272. I went to Firestone on 5/15/2026 to have my car checked out. First, they said much of what Jim Shorkey Auto Group stated needed to be repaired was adamantly incorrect. ADDITIONALLY, they stated the reason the lug nuts snapped on my tire was due to the fact that they were improperly screwed on and tightened. They further stated as they did a safety check, additional lug nuts on other tires were improperly screwed on as well and that the improper torque and screwing of the lug nuts was the sole reason why the bolts snapped causing the tire to come off. I ended up having to get a new rotor, wheel bearings, lug bolts, a new disc brake and other costs-- over $1000 for what should have been a simple tire rotation and oil change. I travel 60+ miles to work one way and this could have ended in a bad way. I don't know about their sales experience but from my experience with my repair, AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS. We drove three hours round trip to purchase a 2022 Outlander with a pre-approval at 6%, expecting a straightforward and transparent process. Before completing the credit application, we clearly instructed the dealership to run financing through Capital One only. Despite this, our credit was pulled three times with other lenders, resulting in higher payment options than our pre-approval--and Capital One was never even run as requested. It was evident the focus was on maximizing backend financing profit rather than honoring our agreement. After this experience, we chose to leave. (The photos mentioned can be found on my review on google.) I purchased a 2008 Cadillac CTS for $7,800 on November 9, 2020. The car was sold under the impression that there were no issues. Overall, the car is extremely clean. No rust, no dings or dents, no mechanical issues etc As you can see in the photos, there was about 4-5 inches of water underneath the spare tire and underneath the floor of the entire cabin. Along with the water damage and mold, there was also a black ant nest under the back seat. Before purchasing, there were no tale-tell signs of water damage. (I have been a mechanic my entire life) They had covered the smell of the mold with strong perfume. As soon as I discovered the issue, I called the dealership and it was around a week before they could fit me in. When I picked up the car, they said they couldn't find any issues at all. It just happened to rain that following week, and I noticed more water leaking in. I took it to my garage and diagnosed it myself as clogged drain plugs from the sun roof. I unclogged them and called the dealership to inform them of the solved issue and asked if they could remove all of the water and dry the carpets. It took another week to get the car in their shop to remove the water. After picking the car back up, I double check to ensure the car is dry, but the entire cabin floor was still saturated. They had dried the trunk, but didn't touch the cabin. I immediately call the Sales manager, who spoke with the service manager and said it will be taken care of. He gave me the number to call and set up another appointment. After a week of calling, leaving voice mails and not receiving a single returned call, I decide take it up the chain to the general manager, Mike Opal. To recap, it has been a month since I've owned this car and haven't been able to drive it due to excess water and smell of mold. During the call with Mike, the general manager, he made the comment that prompted me to write this review. He said " You bought a used care, we were only being kind to you [by attempting to diagnose and dry it]" He is acting like I am some begging charity case because they sold me a car under false pretenses (by covering mold with perfume) and now that they have my money, they don't care about "customer service". The only one that seems to care about the customer was the sales manager Steve Parco. He is the only redeeming quality about this dealership. I decided to spend a week ripping every seat out myself and hang drying all of the carpets. As you can see in the photos, there was in fact black mold growing in the cabin. I have purchased hundreds of cars in my lifetime, but this was by far the worst experience I have ever had. The dishonesty of their service center is unbelievable and I want to warn any future customer about what you may deal with if you decide you want to risk buying a car from here. Test drove a car on Thursday evening, no one there to look at my trade and they were closing, but my trade wasn't part of the equation, as I am keeping the car so I told the salesman to put together numbers and get back to me, I was very interested in this hard to find car I had been looking for. I couldn't make it out the next day but again I asked for sales numbers...sales manager texted me Sat to see when I could come out...I replied I was interested and would like to see some numbers on the vehicle (no point in going out there again if I couldn't get him to give me his deal in writing.) Salesman texted later to say the car had been sold. What part of "I'm interested, get me numbers" do these guys not understand? I'm back to square one looking for the car I like. I really hope people read these before buying a used car here... I purchased a used wrx here, they kept it for a week without calling me to update me with what's going. (I had to call them...) And low and behold it had the p0018 code. Gave them the benefit of doubt, got a call saying I can't take the vehicle home, so they offered me another one. Now you think that after buying a vehicle and getting told that I can't take it home because it was a lemon that maybe the second one might be better... right? Naw, had a CEL wasted even more of my time. So got asked, "is there anything else you're interested in?" (By now I'm on the 3rd vehicle/wrx on their lot.) Went to look at another wrx, ran my OBD scanner had a p0606 which is, "ECM/PCM failure." Never have I ever seen a dealership confidently offer me 3 money pits/lemons. If you're in the used car market I highly recommend going to another branch of dealerships if you don't wanna be finessed by people who really don't know what their doing in their position of management. Walked into Jim Shorkey Chevrolet after contacting sales about a used car and was promptly greeted so that was a good thing.Salesman was friendly and attentive another good thing. Was interested in two vehicles and he got the keys to both and I road tested the first but was not interested. The second was what I was looking for. Road test was good. I noticed the rear tires were low in tread and questioned that and the fronts were a little better but not not by much. I questioned it and was told they passed inspection and was given the tire specs from the safety inspection report. Being a former PA S/I inspection license holder I knew the rears didn't pass and the front were lower than their PA S\I report read. I had the salesman use his tire depth gauge and low and behold they were red tread in the rear between 1/32 and 2/32 and the front were at 4/32. Neither of those matched the Fresh PA S/I report and they admitted they were embarrassed I discovered that and agreed to replace two tires and I said I want 4 and they said I was welcome to purchased the other 2 but I had to pay for them and the mount and balance fees which I agreed to but was not real happy as they were totally wrong on the report and freshly put stickers on this unit. I go and do the paperwork and even though my credit was 825 was told the best rate they could find me was 7.99% which I questioned and was told well interest rates are really high now so told me sorry. I signed the paperwork and went out to the car and wanted to put my things into the car and the power rear hatch would not open. I said this needs fixed before I take it and was told service was much too busy to look at it but assured me they would fix it when I come back for the tires. Sorry but I would never do this to a customer that just bought a vehicle. At least look at it and either fix or order the parts. That was totally the wrong way to handle a customer and I have bought multiple vehicles from Shorkey and this is how they treat repeat customers? So I get in the vehicle and notice it's under a 1/4 tank of gas and was told we don't fill used car purchases they are cheap here. Out of 40 some odd vehicle I have purchased this is the first time this has ever happened. So on my way home the anti collision light comes by itself not in traffic and stays on steady. I pulled over and shut the car off and the light was off but as soon as I pulled back out onto the road the light came on steady again. I called and spoke to my salesman who explained I didn't understand how the system works and that's normal. I was also informed you bought this vehicle as is and there is nothing they could do for me and it was my responsibility now. I said that's not right as I haven't made it home yet. I sent an email to Shorkey about it and was told we will look at it and tell you the price you will have to pay to fix it. I said I want to turn this back in and don't want the car they totally ignored me and had the sales call me and again tell me they would look at it and advise me of the cost to repair. I went to Bowser 2 days ago and traded in my second vehicle and purchased a car there and low and behold my interest rate is 5.39% because I have such outstanding credit. Funny Shorkey told me two weeks earlier the best they could do was 7.99%. I am going there today to have the tires done which I have to pay 50% of the bill and I wonder what becomes of the hatch or malfunctioning collision avoidance system? My guess is they order parts for the hatch and make me come back out there again and are unable to diagnose the anti collision system tell me well its as is. I haven't driven this vehicle that much since purchased as the hatch doesn't work so no grocery shopping and the fact the anti collision is malfunctioning I don't want my wife to 17 year old son driving this. This is how they treat a customer that buys a 2018 36000 miles vehicle. The reason why I purchased this was because of this safety systems and told the salesman that before I even saw it or drove it before puchase.Oh and to add insult to injury the wiper blades steak the heck out of the windshield and we all know they don't pass PA S/I if they can't clear in three swipes these don't clear period.I am throughly disgusted with this whole experience and if they don't stand up and make this right they will have lost a long time Shorkey Family customer. read more

We purchased a minivan four months ago, & as soon as we came home, we had issues with the van. The power would go out, just completely go out. I was stopped at a stop sign another time at a red light. I had to put the van in park, wait a few minutes and it would eventually turn back on and everything would be back to factory settings, clock, radio, etc. . . They took the van twice and looked it over and each time they told us they couldn't find anything wrong with it. But, told us if it happens again to bring it back in and we could trade it in. Four months later & it did it again, this time we had to call road side assistance & while waiting we closed the hood & everything came back on including the car alarm. Manager told us to come back in the next day & when we did he wasn't there. The sales rep offered us 14,000 on a van we just paid 22,000 four months earlier. The sales rep said he was unaware of the situation. Told us the manager would be in tomorrow & would reach out to us. No one has returned our calls. The dealership is an hour away & we have driven back & forth so many times. I really thought they were sincere & honest, but I guess that was my fault for trusting them. Yesterday 4/10/21, my son and I visited this dealership. He had made an appointment on Thursday to see a particular vehicle (2010 Camaro w/ low miles). The person he made the appointment with was not there; however, he was introduced to another sales person who said they would be helping my son complete his purchase. It was his first purchase at a dealership but he was prepared with a down payment and a cosigner, if needed. As my son was preparing for a test drive of the vehicle, another group of people showed up and apparently were interested in the Camaro. Instead of anyone saying someone is in the process of test driving/purchasing this vehicle, another salesperson fast-tracked the second group of people for the purchase. The salesperson who was helping my son did not even have the nerve to tell my son this; instead, he sent the sales manager over to discuss the situation with him. As we were leaving the dealership, the salesperson who had made the sale muttered "loser" under his breath when we walked past. How professional. As if this were not enough, there were copies of the Dr. Seuss book "Green Eggs and Ham" displayed all over the dealership. When I asked why they had so many copies, the salesperson told me that this is their sales manager's philosophy -- green eggs and ham -- basically, to push and push and push the customer until they either make a purchase or storm out of the dealership unhappy. This is not sour grapes talking. This is the true story of an unprofessional dealership, who has lost what could have been life-long customers. read more

if I can I would leave a 0 star, the experience was completely unprofessional. The salesman name was Luca fusca. Waisted 3 hours of my time at this place. I went in to look at a used car that was not serviced or detailed yet, on top of that I drove over an hour away to look at the car. The car did not have emissions , front tires were bald one had a broken band with a bubble in it, the oil light came on while test driving it as well. I was told by both the sales manager and salesman that the car would be put through service to pass inspection/ emissions and tires would be replaced as well. Waited 3 hours for finance after signing many papers, only for the sales manager to come back to me and say that they did not agree to service the car. I told them it's a no deal and neither of them thanked me for my time or shook my hand, and the car is not safe to drive what so ever! I do not recommend buying a car here. I work at Smail auto group and they are super professional compared to this place. We first service the car to requirements of law then detail then put it on the lot. DO NOT GO HERE! All the reviews are true. I bought a used car in May of 2021 and after I made the down payment they kept the car away from me for a week so they can fix and work on some of the things it needed fix. I got the car back and none of the problems were fixed. I didn't have time to take it back because of work but less than a month later the check engine light comes on. Turns out the engine is bad and they had to replace it. I don't know what they were doing to the car when they kept it for a week but clearly it wasn't being fixed. I turned it into them and it's been over a month and still have no car. I called them and they said it will be another 1-2 weeks ALL WHILE IM STILL MAKING PAYMENTS! Well let me tell you folks the Jim Shorkey experience in Irwin PA was everything but pleasant!! Let me tell you what happened!!! So to start the drive up to Jim Shorkey Auto in Irwin PA I came up route 857 and jumped on the toll road at New Stanton PA and entered through my first toll. I proceed to the toll that says take ticket, well no tickets came out I called for attendant no one came out and then I had 8 cars behind me blowing their horns so I went through, proceeded about 2 miles to next toll and told the lady what happened she said "you should have waited for an attendant "and told me I owed 51.50 I lost my sh** I said are kidding me! So I didn't pay it she gave me a pass to contest it. Now to Jim Shorkeys I looked at a 2014 Silverado V6 4wd extended cab short bed. It was in my price range so I looked at it me and the salesman, however had a good size dent in the front bumper, I told him get my payments where I need them and replace the bumper we will do the deal tonight. So we go inside and play the number game and he had my payments where I needed them and said they could replace the dented bumper at this time it's 2:50pm almost 3:00pm so I told him go ahead and do it lets get the deal done. So he was back and forth to the finance managers office waiting on this guy to do the interest rates and bank stuff. So he says your credit is good I'm looking at my payment being $438/ mo and my Interest rate would be at 7.99% so I told him that's fine it's not horrible I'll just re-finance. He said my interest rate would be at 7.99% or lower with my credit being so good. So I wait around salesman comes back tells me he's going to fill the truck up and have it detailed he'd be back, by now it's becoming 5:30ish so I'm getting frustrated. Salesman comes back says it's fueled, just trying to find the title for it to finish paperwork and the title is at one of their other dealerships they just have to find it. I said ok and waited some more well by this time it's 8:30 and he comes back and says we can't find the title I want you to take the truck for tonight and we will get everything gathered up and finalize tomorrow ill call you when I have the title by 9am. So I wasn't happy taking the truck because it wasn't officially mine but I cleaned my truck out and the salesman kept assuring me everything was good the truck was mine and the deal was done! So Tuesday morning rolls around I lock myself out of my iPhone which tune me up pretty good, so I had to a reset on it. Well hole doing the reset it's 9:45 am no phone call! So I call the salesman he tells me he's out pick up a part for the dealership and getting the title he'd call me back when title was in hand. So I wait while working to unlock my phone, 12 noon rolls around my wife calls and the finance guy answers and tells her yes we have the title, then tells her somethings have changed my payment went up $30 dollars and they aren't fixing the bumper. I lose my SH** over the phone and tell the guy you have my truck ready when I get there I'm bringing yours back! So $25 dollars in more tolls and bing lost Tuesday evening because Pennsylvania roads suck I finally get there walk in and the lady at the desk asks if she can help me I said I want to speak to that man right there in the kiosk behind her and the guy heard me walks up tries to talk I said give me my damn key here is your keys trucks in your lot I'm out of here!! So I get my key and I told the guy get a screwdriver and some screws and get my plate back on now! So we wait and out he comes with this little finance weasel in toe with piers in hand. Little guy comes up with an attitude and tries to sell me on why my payment went up and my rates, I told him I'm done get out of my way your not screwing me and I told him this has been the worst customer service I've ever had and they need to get their sh** together! Then he kept on and on the he seen I was serious he says what can I do to get you in that truck, I said 15,000 on the total price payments at $360 a month he says we are all in on that truck at $19,200 and I said well fella I'm all in my truck at $19,200 now get out of my way before I choke slam you! Then we leave and get lost in PA roads again because gps can't keep up with all the road changes in that crap state so we stopped and ate got our bearings and needless to say I didn't get home until 11:45pm! Today myself & my husband went to this location looking to purchase a car. The nice lady at the front desk called Chris to "assist" us with this. I personally felt like we were not treated as if we were going to buy a car. Even after stating we would put half down in cash it was like pulling teeth to get information out of him. He showed us a few cars but after telling him what we were interested in he didn't even make any suggestions for other options and tried showing us cars on his computer screen rather than in person. I was so unimpressed with his treatment of us we just decided to leave and take our money elsewhere. I will definitely not recommend or return to this location. #EXTREMELYANNOYED read more

Bought a pre-owned certified hybrid car (174 point inspection completed) there with just under 54,000 miles at Jim Shorkey Toyota on McKnight Rd. I drove it about 1,100 miles in about 5 months when the brakes rusted out. They claimed this was due to vehicle not being driven daily. Didn't know manufacturers required cars to be driven daily for brakes to not rust out. the car was driven around 200 miles monthly, several times a week by the way. My other hybrid, which I drive daily still has the original rotors and pads after 125,000 miles. Lesson of the day: go to any dealership assuming they are there to take as much money from your pocket as possible and spend as little as possible to prep that car they're selling. If it is pre-owned, they will do the bare minimum including installing the cheapest and lowest rated parts to make it past inspection. Imagine rolling on brand new cheap $90 no brand name tires on that certified pre-owned vehicle you just acquired! Do your due diligence if buying from this dealership and others, take it to your own mechanic for a thorough inspection of the expensive breakables to avoid my $825 mistake, do not fall for the "certified pre-owned" C R A P, it covers a lot of the parts that generally never break within the coverage period, but does not cover the ones that will likely do. Do not hesitate to file a formal complaint with the state's attorney general's office of consumer affairs. While they do not have any enforcement power, the more a business receives complaints, the more likely formal follow up will occur, do your part, help others avoid predatory practices of these businesses. read more

Came in to get my car serviced and appraised for the warranty sake. They inspected it because they told me it would be fast and free. They then tried to force sell me tires for almost $1000 and when I said no, forced me to pay for the inspection I didn't even have scheduled. The appraisal also resulted in me being hounded by a sales person. He was a nice enough guy but wouldn't let up. Pretty bad experience all around. If I could give this company negative stars I would. We bought a car from them, and the trunk of the car broke within 2 weeks of buying it. We've had nothing but terrible customer service from this company since they sold us the vehicle and we paid our money. We live an hour away from the dealership. We first had to drive out to find out the problem so they could order the part. We were told that we would get a call in 2-3 days to schedule an appointment. We called them 8 days later to find out that they still didn't have the part in hand. We then scheduled an appointment to come in - so I drove over an hour to come to the appointment early in the morning to be told that they didn't have any record of any appointment, and there wasn't anything they could do to help me. When I expressed my frustration with this and pushed the employee to look into it a little bit further, another employee stood behind me and in front of my children told me, "If it's not in there, what in the f*&# do you want him to do about it." When I said that if he was going to speak to me like that, I would just leave, he told me that I should definitely go and get the f*&# out of there. I then went outside and and called my husband to have him help me figure this out. When I went back inside I was passed over by the first employee by 2 customers that walked in after me and stood there (still with my children) totally ignored. I left, called the company, and was told that I would have to come back other day to get the car fixed. So I drove home with my still broken car and have to drive another 2 hours round trip to again try to get this issue resolved. I have never had such a HORRIBLE experience buying a car and I will make sure to tell everyone I can what an unprofessional and uncaring company this is. Once they sell you the car, they care nothing else about you and what your needs are. I would have given a ZERO if that had been an option. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THESE PEOPLE. My airbag light came on (it had never been activated or used) so I took it to get serviced, waited the entire day in the waiting room after taking the day off work (I am self employed and do not have paid time off) only to be told they had to order a new airbag and I would need to come back. I paid for the airbag and installation thinking it would be done. I took off another day of work and brought my car back. Again I waited more than 5 hours in the waiting room only to be told at the end of the day that it wasn't a whole new airbag after all, but a pin they needed to order. So I took yet a 3rd day off work and took my car back...waited another 5+hours in the waiting room only to be told it needs a different part. At this point I storm out extremely angry. I call the supervisor Wes who promised me a small loaner car that he would bring to me and take mine to get fixed. He told me they would bring me a Jeep Renegade. in my book(I have a Fiat 500) that is a big car and I have a history of not being able to drive big cars. I am a small person and I knew I would inevitably scratch a big car trying to park it at the many client homes I drive to daily. so he promised me a small car and said he would get back to me. He never got back to me. I had to keep contacting them over and over to get him to respond. After a few weeks he tells me the Renegade is the smallest they have and I tell him no for the above reasons that I was afraid to scratch it and then be responsible for paying for that.He texts me that if it gets scratched, he will take care of it. But when they bring the Renegade to me I am forced to sign a contract saying that I am responsible for damages if I scratch it. I asked if he would pay for a small rental car for me which I thought was fair since I lost 3 days of pay from work and a deposit I had to put down on a place/trip I planned over Labor Day. I didn't feel comfortable driving on one of the busiest holiday weekends without a working airbag and I was sure the car would be fixed before my trip but because no one would get back to me , it dragged on and on into the time my trip was to happen. So Shorkey doesn't give a crap that I lost 3 days of work and a deposit because of them. Not to mention I could have been seriously hurt if I had been in an accident and my airbag didn't deploy. These guys are the worst. They will be sooooo nice when they sell you your car and take your money but once you have an issue....good luck. There's a large sign in the waiting room claiming they'll pay $100 per referral that results in the purchase of a vehicle. In my family alone we've given FIVE referrals resulting in the purchase of vehicles and no one was paid. Not one. My entire immediate family members have all purchased vehicles here in the last few years (over and above the referrals). Just really disappointed - don't advertise if you're not going to follow through. We have called numerous times over the last several months and just get the runaround. By FAR the WORST car buying experience I ever had in my entire life!!! DO NOT GO HERE!!!! First the car i was looking at was in an accident and they tried to hide it from me but i could planly see the body was not put back together right and then they finally told me it had been in an accident! Then they gave me additude when I said no to buying it which it was marked 3k over kelley blue book value. OK. Then i found another car to test drive. Marked at 76K miles. Got in and it said it had 44k miles. I made an offer and they upped the price in front of me because they screwed up the miles. Then when i said they cant do that they laughed in my face. What part of NO don't they get. 12 phone calls & counting even though I have blocked several numbers. I have unsubscribed to 4 email addresses so far & I still get promotion offers. So unprofessional & desperate. Here it is 4 months later & these folks continue to harass me. I have given them my information several times & have since purchased a new car from someone else. Here it is almost 2 weeks ago that I had an appointment with Irwin Shorkeys to get an oil change and take care of a warranty issue. I expected a longer wait time to get taken care of but clocked in at 1 and a half hours which was better than what it took before. By the way I am still awaiting a follow-up phone call from Jim Shorkey, Jr. to discuss our issues. But like I said before, out of sight ,out of mind.I guess I am in visible and if you have a problem with them they will go out of their way to ignore you. Time ticks away Jim and waits for no one. Bought a Suzuki XL7 here in 2009. The salesman was awesome while selling the vehicle but after that it went downhill....fast. This is 2014 and I am still having issues with the vehicle. Service writer Ron is rude and argues about warranty and refuses to give you info concerning the warranty. Mechanics tell me all the problems with the vehicle is the "Chevy" parts in it. If it's not an oil change or changing brakes they have no idea how to fix anything. I could go on and on concerning this subject but bottom line is NEVER again will I buy from them. And just try and get a loaner off of them when having warranty work. They refuse till the are 100% sure it's warrantied and by then I am home for 2-3 days and am not driving the 1/2 hour to pick up a rental. Was never ever offered to be taken home or picked up while my car was there a week or more. If the mechanic cannot put a diagnostic computer in your vehicle and it tell them what is wrong you can forget getting it fixed. I've been complaining of the same exact issues since the day I bought the vehicle and I'm no moron when it comes to vehicles. My ex and I owned an auto repair for that has been in business for 35+ years. read more

This is by far the worst place ever. It was great BEFORE Jim Shorkey bought it. Not it's trash. They have completely ruined my Alfa. The only real problem the car ever had was the sun roof. They on the other hand have caused numerous issues and BROKE multiple things. My first oil change, they messed up a sensor and it had to go back to get repaired. I should have known then. Recently in July my sunroof became stuck. Here in October, 3 months later, I'm still dealing with the repercussions. It took 6 weeks to get my sunroof fix. In doing that, they ripped the cloth that covers it and still sent it back to me. I then had to send it back. In fixing the sun screen, they broke my windshield. They replaced it with an after market windshield, not Alfa, and sent it back to me. Then the safety features didn't work, the voice controls didnt work, and they chipped the paint on my hood by the windshield. This is how they sent it back! So it had to go back to the dealership again. Turns out the after market glass was defective. So they fix that with more aftermarket glass and repaint the chipped hood and send it back. Low and behold, they never fixed the voice control, SO BACK IT WENT AGAIN! Turns out they never plugged the mic back in. This process took till about late September. Now there a throttle issue and my car is in limp mode. I try to lift the hood and it's not seated correctly so the hood release won't work. NOW IM COMPLETELY FURIOUS and I start checking things only to find the trunk seat release is broken. I call up the dealership and the GMs response is to call Alfa and have them tow it to the nearest dealership. Through previous conversations, he new it wasn't going to be them. (The Cranberry TWP one is a few miles closer) Basically, after ruining my $50k car he's washed his hands of the situation. The GM doesn't care about his people or customers. Or fixing their mistakes. They had my car for the better part of three months and I have put almost 800 miles on the car through this ordeal just in servicing alone! I will be going through the BBB, and most likely be seeking litigation over this ordeal. If you care about customer service, stay away from Jim Shorkey! read more

Salesman we had was great guy, Jon. The rest of the place is pretty much a joke, and I mean buyer beware. Let me start with the credit switch, they told me one interest rate on the phone then when I got there it was 5 percent higher, got that fixed. Had to wait for over an hour to get paper work done even though we had an appointment. They test drove my car to give me an appraisal and it came back with scratches and they said they would make it "right". It was late so the "GM" was going to call the next day, never heard from anyone. But they were going to look at video tape and see if they could see anything, never heard from anyone. update, now 2 weeks later they call and tell me they put the wrong plate on my truck. read more

This place is terrible. I visited the Jim Shorkey Fiat dealership on 5/28/16. The sales staff is really bad, using deceptive business practices and false advertising. I had some issues regarding an advertised promotion which I brought to the attention of the sales person. He basically blew me off and never followed up. Took my Toyota there yesterday for service--I needed an oil change and my check engine light was on. They were very honest with me up front and said they would have to run a diagnostics test and told me the price before even taking my car back. Within minutes, they told me what was wrong with my car and started the work. Very efficient and helpful! Would definitely recommend them for any make, not just Mitsubishi. read more

Was contacted swiftly after my review and they did acknowledge the problem with the headlights. Said they would help with the costs of the problem which is what I asked for because it would be extremely costly and at the rate that it happens with this car it would more than likely happen again. Other than the bulb issue, the kizashi is an excellent car with no problems after almost 4 years besides the headlight issue. I am happy that someone contacted me quickly and professionally to potentially solve the problem. They said the problem is with the suzuki bulb, and I understand that they have no control over that aspect. read more

This is the worst above all to go to purchase a vehicle. I do not have the best credit. That I will admit. But being told there are ways to get financed, a person would believe it. For more than 3 months and numerous credit checks ( which totally killed my credit score ) and no vehicle to drive off of the lot, I will never return to this Jim Shorkey Mitsubishi in North Huntingdon. I was actually finally told that I was approved for a loan but would need to put down 500.00 to hold the vehicle so it would not be sold. I said all I had was a check and was told that was fine. Now the kick in the face. I asked the young BOY in financing that if I should change my mind, would I be able to come back and get it. He said yes and again I asked if I do not get financed would i get my check back again he said yes. Taking this you boy's word I gave them a check. Three days later, I am still waiting to hear back about my so called approval. After many trips and attempts to contact them, they cashed my check. Now being a working man living like most people trying to make it from one week to another, this action they took put my account in a negative. After approaching my salesman about this issue he said he would take care of it first thing that morning and would call me. Again....after numerous attempts to contact my salesman thru out the day, i finally got a hold of him and he said he has not gotten any info on anything yet. After my work day, I went to the dealership and found out my salesman had already left for the day. Now an argument started between me and the young boy in financing which of course his lack of explaing to me again that I was approved ( but there were no papers brought to me to sign, no pink slip....nothing ) that their policy is to cash any checks and refund the money if the deal falls thru. Now...he went to get another person Matthew Hilty.. Who decided it was in his best interest to stand over me and belittle anything I had to say. There is much more to write on my experience but the bottom line finally....I will never return there, i will never recommend anyone to them and I hope anyone who reads this will have second thoughts on shopping at any Jim Shorkey dealerships. read more

DO NOT TRUST THEM! I had my car in for a CVT flush. A week later, my transmission is blown! The codes on the reader said about the transmission fluid pressure. I had to get the car towed to them for them to charge me a diagnostic fee for them to tell me that the tranny is shot. Of course, it was nothing that they did. I will not trust them to work on my car ever again. read more
