Most of the time after you've had service at any dealership you are sent a survey and asked to give a review of your service. I felt it was necessary for me to write one because I was not sent a survey because I was given poor service and I am sure the dealerShip did not want my negative review. I will start by saying my vehicle needed brakes badly and the dealership made accommodations to service my vehicle immediately because of what was needed. That was the positive. However, the dealership could not locate the Lugnut lock key for my vehicle and told me it would cost me $109 to remove the Lugnuts on my car. Assuming it was not there I said I understood and agreed to pay the amount. Upon completion of the job, I found the Lugnut key in my vehicle and showed them that it was there. They refunded half of the amount and said I would have to contact The supervisor when he returned which I did. I felt this was an error on their part and requested a full refund. The service manager said he could not do that and offered me in store credit to make up the difference. I was not satisfied with this decision and they refused to refund the full amount. This is the second time I have received poor service and I indicated that to the manager. It did not make a difference, therefore they will not get a third chance. This summer, I've experienced excessive wait times to get my vehicle serviced. You have to wait over a week to get an appointment at this dealership now. I have a broken tie rod and cannot drive my vehicle safely due to this issue, and I've been told that the next available appointment is not for over a week. It's a complete pain to get any warranty work done on your vehicle as well in my previous experiences this summer. I won't be returning to this dealership to purchase a vehicle anytime soon, or the service department. read more

Jim Shorkey Mitsubishi in irwin is by far the WORST car dealership u could ever go to. I tried getting a car from there for 4 days straight calling them and went there 3 times. They were finally gonna sell me the car I wanted and I was so excited until they call me a whole day later and say it was sold at a different dealership. After all that, they weren't even sympathetic or tried helping me out to get another car. Most car dealers will do everything and anything to sell u a car well not this place! They can careless! Wow! I purchased a 2015 Chevy Equinox. I had it for two months my back camera had to be "replaced". The backup camera continues to mess up every few months. A month later my battery died. I called Lauretta Kerber because she sold me the Equinox. She was very nasty and not helpful at all. She even suggested that it was the dealerships fault and that they should help me. I asked to speak to the manger he was very rude and yelled at me. He didn't offer to do anything at all. It's been a year now and i'm having engine problems. My vehicle shakes and shuts off while in motion or stopped at a traffic light. I checked my oil its's bone dry. I had just received a oil change two weeks prior to my vehicle shutting off. My oil sensor never alerts me when the oil is low or in need of an oil change. I keep track of my miles. I have to check my oil level daily. I have called Jim shorkey Kia in North Huntingdon to speak to one of the Shorkeys. I even left a message with Gretchen Shorkey. Gretchen never returned my call. I called Jim Shorkey Mitsubishi and left a message with Amber to ask about my warranty. She never return my call. This vehicle is only three years old, it shouldn't shake or cut off while in motion or stopped. I don't understand why the oil burns up so quickly. I can't be stuck with a unsafe vehicle! read more

This place is horrible. We were there to look at Fiats. My husband had talked via the internet & email with some management/sales person from this place who assured us that YES, 3pm would be great. Her email specifically said that a car would be waiting for us to test drive and we were on time. No one had a clue we were coming, the "saleslady" we got plunked down with knew less about the car than my Husband did, and after she sort of got her crap together she said she was going to get us a car to test drive. After sitting at her desk alone for 20 mins+, we got up and left. It was 3:50pm by this time. We drove about 20+ mins to get there for nothing. There wasn't even a car in the showroom for us to look at or sit in, etc. When we left I told the receptionist why we were leaving and they lost a sale, she didn't look too concerned. They just didn't care at all we were there or make any effort at all. Funny thing is, if you call, the hold message talks about how the 'Jim Shorkey Family' treats you so well and all that. I would NEVER recommend anyone to go here. The reason you don't see many Fiats around Pittsburgh is you can't buy one, they don't want to sell you one! What a waste of time and gas. read more

I am so fed up with the service department . After 4 recalls on a car that I was leasing, I thought everything was good to go so I purchased the car after the lease was up. Airbag light was on after one of the recalls on 11-13-15 when I had the the car inspected at the same time. During inspection on 11-25 this year I was told I needed to have the car left to have this repaired, dropped the car off on the 28th and was told the next day it would be one more day, then they wouldn't have the tool for a week, then they wouldn't have the tool until 12-13, then on 12-14 I receive an email the tool is on route. Well it is now 12-20 and still nothing. I am so fed up with this place. It was obviously more important during inspection that you purchase new wiper blades than an airbag light on. I purchased this car this past August and am so sorry I have dealt with this dealership. read more

I own a 2009 MItusbishi, and I love it-never any issues or problems UNTIL I received a letter about a brake recall. With all you hear/read about the importance of addressing recalls, I made an appointment at Jim Shorkey to take care of it. I also invited my father along, since he (also a MItusbishi owner) was in the market to trade in his Endeavor. I thought we could both look at the Outlander Sports during the wait. I was informed that it would take 2-4 hours. 2 hours to run the diagnostics to check the issue, and if the recall part was needed, the additional 2 hours to repair it. When driving to the dealership (40 min away) I realized that we would be a few minutes late. Thankfully, I called the service department to explain I would be about 10-15 minutes. It was then that the gentleman at the service department informed that it would take much longer to take care of the recall and if I needed the part, I would have to wait until MONDAY to order the part and I'd have to leave my car all weekend and GET A RIDE! If it needed the recall it would be considered "disabled" and I would not be allowed to leave with it! I can't even begin to express how furious I am at the lack of courtesy (most dealerships offer a courtesy car if it's an issue with their vehicle) and the total misinformation I received. Considering the fact I was willing to wait at the dealership, with the intention of looking at the Outlander Sport and my father was making the trip to also look at a new Mitsubishi, the dealership not only infuriated me to the point that I will NOT purchase any Mitsubishi vehicle in the future, due to the terrible way they addressed the recall, I also will never purchase any vehicle from any Jim Shorkey location. POTENTIAL BUYER BEWARE - always consider how important customer service is when purchasing a car - not only should they be ashamed of themselves for mis-communicating the recall details, they didn't even try to make it right! PLUS Probable loss of 2 Outlander Sport sales. We turned around and are on our way now to #1 Cochran to look at Subaru's. read more

Purchased a used 2013 Subaru Forester from this dealers North Hills location. First off they do a bait and switch where the advertised price is not the actual price, they add on a $1,000 detail and prep fee, so watch out for that. So I get the car home and I notice that there are two different brands of tires on this all wheel drive car. My fault for not seeing at the dealership, yes. Then I got a email asking to review my experience of buying the car, and so I did put in a review. I stated that the sales staff was very nice and friendly, the business manager was nice and easy to work with, but that I did not like the bait and switched, miss matched tires as it against policy for all wheel drive cars and can cause damage to the transfer case. I got a email asking to call the Mike Traish, the Pre-Owned Sales Manager. I gave him and call and instantly he started to press me on how I could give a bad review. Really! Did not ask to hear my side or anything, just started to aggressively dog me and not even really let me speak. He stated how for state inspection it not required to have matching tires. I tried to get a word in saying it all wheel drive car and goes again Subaru, but he would not really let me talk and dismissed my point before I could even make it. I hung up on him. I then called the dealership in hopes to speak to his supervisor and asked the operator to connect me to his supervisor, who was the GM. I was put on hold and then when the person answered they answered as the GM, a Mike Engle, but then they stated their name was Mike Triash, the guy I was calling about. So now the guy lied! I told him I asked to speak to the GM and so then he said he would get him and put me on hold. Well no one ever picked up the phone after waiting. So they like to play games and are very rude to customers with concerns. I would stay away from them! So I figured I'll just ask while I'm right here in front of service. Mistake YOUNG man must have had rough day and gave wrong info any way. But this is about a paint issue with another employee just didn't want to take time to help us in any way and was very rude by telling me hell no never going to happen you bough it as is. These kind of employees are a dime a dozen and can ruin a business. Everyone has a bad day now and again but your are dealing with people who put food on your table so called potential repeat customers. One persons decision can effect everyone that count on selling that next vehicle. Bottom line keep the customer happy at least by hearing them out and looking at what the problem is. Now is Jim Shorkey Mitsubishi a place where I would like to purchase another vehicle or recommend to someone. wait don't be to hasty as this employee was to us. And you don't have to always take no for an answer. This employee works for someone. Someone who does care and that person wants you to know you made the right decision. So I contacted Mr. Jim Shorkey III which is a very busy man. And I'm sure he has his share of bad days . But took time from his busy day to have us bring the vehicle to one of his other locations to have one of his employees take time to LOOK at it , asses the problem, made us an appointment a week later and took care of this issue. When you spend $16,000 on a vehicle you want to be happy with what you drive for time you own it. When someone looks at it and ask where did you get it? And we want to be able to SMILE when we say: Jim Shorkey Mitsubishi . I hope in the future every thing is clear sailing. I am not happy with my experience at Jim Shorkey Suzuki at all. There was nothing good about this place. Let's start with the day I bought my 2011 Suzuki Kazashi (Monday June 27th). I had an appointment with my salesman for 5 PM; I got to the dealership at 4:50 PM. The salesman was not ready for me at all. He was not working with anyone; he was just unprepared even though I called him a half hour before my appointment with him to confirm our meeting. Next let's talk about the 5 1/2 hours it took to process everything, due to his lack of preparation. So I did not get home until after 11 PM. Next the dealership lost one of the keys for my new car so they give me an un-programmed key for the car. At this point they ask me to come in on Thursday June 30th. Also I was told that the plastic clip that covers up the roof rack holes that was broken would be at the parts department for pick up. So I drive out to the dealership, after I leave work early to make it before the service department closes for the day. They tell me they didn't know I was coming out and could not program my key at this time. So we set up an appointment for Saturday July 2nd, at noon to program my keys. So next I go over to parts to pick up my plastic piece and they had no clue what I was talking about they were never told by the salesmen this was needed, so needless to say this was not corrected that day. Well July 2nd comes around and I drive back out to the dealership and the key programming computer goes down 15 min before I get there at 11:45. So at this point I talk to the Service Manager and tell him what is going on and he says for my trouble he will come to my house and pick up the car and keys to make it right. We set up for a morning pick up today July the 6th, I worked from home today so I could be here to give the guys everything they need. Well it gets to be noon and they did not come to pick up anything yet. At 1:35 PM I get a call from their service department they cannot pick up my car because all of their drivers are out of my area. So I tell the man on the phone that if they do not pick my car up today that I want my trade in back and all money I paid them and they can have their Kizashi back. Within 45 min someone came to pick up my car. So I do not hear from them for a few hours and I know they close at 6 PM and service closes around 5 today, so I call at 4 PM, to inquire about my car. They tell me it has been done and will be at my house within the hour. So I wait at home until 7 PM before my car arrives. Only 3 hours late but fixed, I will give them that. SO IN REVIEW, I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER CAR FORM THIS PLACE, I WILL DRIVE 30 MINS FURTHER OUT OF MY WAY TO THE NEXT CLOEST SUZUKI DEALER, AND I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYTHING ABOUT THIS LOCATION TO ANYONE! read more
