I have hit many items along the road and this past night was no different. It wasn't a small item, but a semi-truck tire. Sitting right there in the middle of the road. Having nowhere to go seeing how this tire was smack dab in the middle of both lanes, I hit it. In doing so, I ripped the wheel well cover of the car away from the frame and it was rubbing against the tire. I stopped that night and did a quick fix and made a note to stop at an auto store to pick up some parts. I was in need of some fasteners and knowing that this was on my way to work one day, I decided to give them a try. I walked in and found my aisle I needed, I found a fastener closest to the one that was ripped off and headed to the counter. The employee I had wasn't so sure and I believe it was this gentlemen's first day. He got the manager and he helped me beyond what he should have. I asked a few questions, he answered them amazingly and even showed me a tool that would be helpful in my repair. I thanked him, bought my items and was on my way. I am not the most car literate person and it was reassuring to have someone with more knowledge be sure enough of what they knew to get me where I needed to be with my car.

Nothing against RNR but I Bought Kenda tires because they were the only ones available to fit new…read morewheels. Looked decent, salesman hyped them up. Huge mistake. After only 10,000 miles of normal driving (no abuse, 4WD vehicle), the tires are about 75% worn and the sidewalls are cracked wide open--completely unsafe. For comparison, my Goodyears have over 50,000 miles and still have tread. These are hands down the worst tires I've ever owned. I hope RNR does the right thing, but either way--avoid Kenda. Your life depends on it.

I have been stopping into this Advance Auto in Murrysville for years now. It's usually for a…read morebattery or head light for my wife's car. I got a new battery from here in 2015. It's great how they check the battery before for free and do a free installation if you do need a new one. It comes with a 3 year warranty as well. I never really thought of the warranty up until a few weeks ago. I was in Penn Hills and I was getting gas. I filled up my car and tried to start my car back up. It wouldn't start. I had to get it jumped. I didn't think I needed a new battery yet because it only has been a little over two years since I got a new one. I knew there was an Advance Auto nearby in Penn Hills so I stopped in there. They checked my battery and said there was a lot of corrosion on it. I wasn't getting enough juice to start my car they said. He looked up my information to see when I bought this battery from them and he said he couldn't find anything on me. He said I probably needed a new battery so he was going to ring me up $151 for a new one. I told him to hold off and let me go to the Advanced Auto in Murrysville because that's where I got it. So I drove to the one in Murrysville. I told him what happened and he couldn't believe that the Penn Hills store sent me there and that they didn't help me out. Max helped me out here and he was great. He did find me in the system and said I was covered under their 3 year warranty. The problem was that when he checked my battery it said it was in good shape. So he cleaned all of the corrosion around my battery and tested it again. He said that I should be fine but if I have more problems to come back to the Murrysville one. A little over a week later on Saturday morning I tried to start my car and it wouldn't start. That was the first time that I had trouble with it since I got the corrosion cleaned off. I jumped it and went back to the Murrysville store. I started telling them what had happened previously and then Max who helped me out before remembered me and told them what was up. They tested my battery and said since I keep having trouble they will just give me a new one. 10 minutes later I had a new battery that was covered under their warranty and I was on my way! I haven't had any trouble since. I would recommend the Murrysville Advance Auto to anybody. Thanks Max!

Asked the Advanced Auto Sales person if he could help. He shrugged his shoulders, gave me a dirty look, ruled his eyes and said "We are a retail store...can't help you. You have to go to an auto repair shop." Walked away from me. I sarcastically said "Thanks." He said, "No problem." Went to Advanced Auto in the same area, they were so nice and so helpful! They were busy & still took the time to come out & take a look and listen. They were so courteous. It meant a lot to me. The Advanced Auto guy was arrogant & rude. GO TO AUTO ZONE!

I walked in with a general idea of the size I needed, but decided to double check with the book that is available for customers. I should of went with what I had thought in the first place, because the book was wrong. More on that in a few. I purchased the blade and went outside to install it. Good thing I did this before I left the lot because it really wasn't the right one. So I repackaged the blade and went back inside. I dealt with a different employee this time and she informed me that I should have asked at the desk before selecting my blade. That would be fine and dandy to have known, but why have those booklets if they aren't correct? After the employee retrieved the right blade you would have thought I was trying to pull a scam on them. I mean you saw me just purchase this, go out in front of your store, attempt to install it and come back in to exchange it for the right one. What could I have done in between any of those actions to suggest I was duping you? Anyway, after I got the right blade, I had no trouble installing this one and was on my way.

My car manual didn't list the part number of the dome light I needed (and neither did that big reference manual that car parts places use), so I was pleasantly surprised he trusted me to let me borrow his screwdriver and take it to my car to bring in the light. When I brought it in, he found a light that worked perfectly. I look forward to coming here again. Also, the store employee was friendly when the owner was in the back getting the parts I needed. He seemed happy to work there. It was such a positive difference! I sometimes get ignored in the big auto parts stores, and the people seem like they are there just to get a paycheck. This was a nice change! This shop prides itself in selling quality parts that last, not just a cheap part that will sell like some chain automotive stores do. Their prices were reasonable, and I was surprised that the cost for the parts I purchased seemed less than the price I saw online at a chain store. Also accepts credit cards.

My headlight had burned out weeks ago and I finally made it to the store for a replacement. I tried…read moretaking the old one out in the parking lot without any luck. Inside the man at the counter, Frank, offered his assistance almost right away. He helped me look up the correct type of bulb based on my VIN. Then he took me to the correct aisle and even searched for it himself. There were a lot of bulbs lying on the floor and a box of still packed ones on a cart he looked through. We were able to find the correct one and he got me checked out quickly. The manager asked me what kind of car I'd be putting it in. After I told him and said I had trouble removing it, he came out to the parking lot and helped me switch out the old one at NO CHARGE. He was extremely friendly and super helpful. The staff is wonderful all around there. The only reason I mark them down at all was the messiness of the store and the super dirty floor. Otherwise it was a great experience and I felt my needs were taken care of.
