I had top-notch service from Rob, my salesperson, to Mark, the Finance guy, to Erin, the cashier. I was in the market for an economical used car. I searched online and narrowed my criteria to a price, mileage, one owner, no accidents, within 25 miles of me. I knew from experience the market supply was scarce, the car prices were high, and odds of finding one locally depended on looking online vs. the old days of going from dealership to dealership. Voila! I found one checking off every box at this dealership and bonus points for being within 5 miles of me and a certified condition vehicle. I immediately drove there to check its availability. As I parked, Rob was there to greet me and I asked if he could help. And help, he did! We took my soon-to-be-mine Chevy Spark for a test drive. Terrible service!!! DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! Customer for years but won't be any longer! What happened to quality service?

DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE!!! I have NEVER had such an atrocious experience at a repair shop in my LIFE. They will LIE and BREAK YOUR CAR MORE. I went in to get my parking brake fixed in my 2019 Chevy Equinox and was initially quoted $1,450 if I ONLY needed the module and $2,152 MAXIMUM if I needed calipers too. I had to pay $218 for a "diagnostics fee" on top of that even after VERY hesitantly agreeing to get the work done after much convincing for their supervisor that they could be trusted, I even signed the quote. I bring the car back on Monday and it takes them a WEEK to finish repairs after telling me it would only be a day, two at MOST. I go to pick up my car, and am told that it will ACTUALLY be $3,069 for the repairs but since they already finished the work, there was nothing I could do about it. They SO graciously refunded me for the diagnostic fee so my NEW total is $2,851 (after being quoted MAX $2,152). BUT DONT WORRY, they work with a third-party loan company, Sunbit, that can help with financing. I was told that my best option is the 9 month repayment plan, and ASSURED that it will be interest free. I had to pay a $582 down payment and left. I take my car home, and not even 2 days later, I'm having issues with my fan still running well after turning the engine off. I had to return MULTIPLE times for this reason because they "kept repairing parts but the issue would return not long after". After paying for multiple useless repairs for that issue, I decided to take it to a DIFFERENT shop and they fixed my thermostat for $1,200. My tire pressure sensor light has ALSO been on since their "repairs" so it no longer registers the PSI of my tires. To make matters somehow WORSE, I come to find out 6 months later after calling Sunbit, that the loan was NOT interest free and they had lied. Sunbit filed a formal complaint against this location because of this. I was charged an extra $232 in interest over the course of the 9 month repayment plan. So I call Riverview to get this resolved. I speak with a supervisor named Mike who tells me basically tough s*** and they will NOT be doing anything about it. They stole THOUSANDS right out of my pocket. LEARN FROM MY MISTAKES. I WOULD GIVE THEM NEGATIVE STARS IF I COULD. NEVER COME TO THIS LOCATION, GO TO THE RIVERVIEW IN NORTH HUNTINGTON INSTEAD THEY ARE AMAZING! I posted a one star review and I want to make this correction there was a gross miscommunication and overall we were able to come to an amicable agreement. I love Riverview Chevrolet and have purchased three cars and always my service work done there so I was very sad and dissatisfied but they did the best that they could I guess to make their mistake right. if I could rate them a zero I would, just awful experience in every way. took our Yukon up for an inspection and our check engine light was on. We drive to the drop off area, 4 people sitting at their desks and we waited 5 minutes without any coming out to talk with us; I walked in to the office area and the first person I spoke with was a lady and she acted like I was bothering her. So it's finally dropped. They call after they put it on the computer ($180.00) and two sensors need replaced. They did the work and inspection was done; $1,400. we pick up vehicle and drive home. they missed the taillight being out and engine was revving which it was not doing prior to the inspection. we call them, they said drive truck for 100+ miles and bring it back in. so we drive it for 100 miles, call them to set up th follow up appointment. Lady answering the phone says check engine light and burned out taillight occurred after we drove truck home so it would cost another $180.00 to put it back on diagnostic computer and engine revving issues were going to cost more. Very rude, took no responsibility for shoddy incompetence. terrible customer service and we couldn't be more disappointed with the company. would never go back or recommend them for anything. read more

Brought my Traverse in for spark plug service back in July. While it was there I asked for them to also check and see what I needed for inspection. I was told everything would pass except tires and windshield wipers. Came back to town from work and made appointment to get one of the parts replaced in front right tire. Rocker arm I believe, asked again and was told same thing. Wasn't given a chance to even have that work done while I was there! Seemed he was in a hurry to get out for the day so I went online and scheduled for next day. Got there and was told my service advisor from day before was off and had a 4 day weekend. Anyway, took it back for inspection and now I was being told, after being told yesterday all I needed was tires since I replaced my wipers that I now needed all new rear brakes and rotors! Explained I was just there in end of July and yesterday and was told all I needed was tires. Service manager, who buy the way was a total tool and arrogant A%#Ho&%, sat down and said no he only pulled two tires and that's what he told me that. So what if I would have gotten inspection done yesterday when I was there and he said it didn't need brakes and rotors???? Again, arrogant answer and said he gave a deal on everything and then said, "Oh by the way You're Welcome!" Guy beside me said he would have knocked him out had to said that to him the condescending way he said it to me. I wen't about my business and sat there for another 3 hours waiting for work to be done. Girl who help me in service was AMAZING and apologized for everything several times. Manager never came back out and even saw me leaving and just turned away! I will never bring any of our cars back to this place and will drive the extra time to Murrysville where I brought it for service. They are way more professional, and don't act like they're better than you, or talk to you in a condescending manner! This place service department is nothing more then trash. There's no follow through on anything . Other then a $180 diagnostic check. Had truck for 4 hours . Was told it was a wire then 5 mi it's later was told something else. Lucky I had another appointment at another Chevy dealer and I had them check it. Come to find out it was neither. So Riverview tried to get me for $600 on something I know for a fact they never checked besides with the computer. The other dealership pointed out that area they were suppose to service was never taking apart. Be careful of this place. This is the second time. First ti e it was for my AC recharge that they never checked to see if it was leaking after recharge . Excuse was first mechanic wasn't in that day and then it was the machine was out of order. The salesperson was wonderful. Never trust anyone else. We agreed to the amount I would get for my trade in after they tried to give me a lower amount. I wanted $500 more than they offered because it was worth it and it would help get my payment down. When I went to the finance department to sign the papers everything was rushed in front of me. I should have looked because they only gave me the original amount they wanted. I didn't notice until days later. When I called them, I was told I was given the lower amount because they got the payment where I wanted it without giving me more for my truck. I also had to call them the day after I purchased the truck because the cap for the brake fluid was missing. They also had to get the extra set of keys for me. Just put it this way its been 2 weeks and I still have not received either one. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. read more

mother has always kept up with her oil changes. Even more frequent than most because she only puts about 2,000 miles on her Chevy Cruise a year. We asked for an oil change and new filter. We sure got charged for it but got neither. If you take your vehicle here please mark all parts that need replaced with a UV pen. Because they robbed us of almost $80 just to top off some windshield wiper fluid but DIDN'T CHANGE ANYTHING ELSE ON THE CAR. Can and will share the invoice and what was retrieved out of the car the day it broke down cause they decided to rip my momma off. ZERO stars should be available for criminal enterprises like this one. Crooks at the time of signing - I was told they could keep my payment under "X", and then was told it needed to be $25 higher. And, the manager had left for the day, so nobody was there to approve the lower payment. Again, crooks when it comes to repairs. Paid $1600+ a few days before Christmas to fix an oil leak. This presumably included pressure testing, etc, to find the leak. EIGHT DAYS LATER, the car has an oil leak STILL. The service manager told me it would not be covered, because "It must not have been leaking from there" EIGHT DAYS PRIOR !!!! So, warranty on repairs is non-existent. This matters when buying a POS American car that will only give the worst warranty in the business (3/36). PLUS, Chevy "simply could n ot help" because all locations are owned independently. Nice cop-out on their end, too. To summarize, POS car, POS repairs with no warranry, POS people working at this dealership. After 4 days, still no further word from the repair fraud manager !!!!! read more

I had service done on my car yesterday, the technician gave up on the repairs, lost parts in my engine, claimed faulty repair jobs from prior services (done by CHEVY!), was yelled at and degraded by the service writer, and told we were wrong and that the problem we described is not the problem that we have even having. The manager will not return our calls. I will NEVER recommend this place for service. We are going to report them to the BBB, and go to the magistrate to get our money back and to have the car repaired by a competent technician. read more

10/12/22 Darryl Steeple at the service center got in my face and became extremely confrontational with me over our car's lower rear control arm being rusted and snapping. This was on a 2019 Chevy equinox. He argued with me over the phone saying my husband hit something when he didn't. We have video proof from where my husband broken down to prove our claim over it. On 10/19/22 Darryl took it in himself to get in my face with my two children present. He asked me do you have something to say. He also harassed my husband all day long by calling his cell phone asking for the loaner car back. We told him our insurance company claims adjuster didn't get back to us. I called Allen the general manager who said we could keep the loaner longer. Then explained how Darryl kept cutting me off on the phone. During the confrontational manner with Darryl I said now is not the time and the place in front of my kids. He acted very irrational and angry. I feared for me and my children's safety. He made me extremely uncomfortable and made my 8 year old daughter scared and cry. I also had my 3 month old with me. On 10/20/22 the manger started calling my husband to take this review down. Told us if we didn't we'd be banned from the shop. Also are refusing to fix the alignment on our car we paid for and still is t correct after paying for it. No because we didn't hit anything and you will not recall it or honor our warranty. Nor fix the alignment we paid for. I don't recommend this business and they lost our entire family that's been going here over 10 years. I had to give it a one star because it wouldn't let me give it no stars I bought a car back in July the sales man john he was very helpful and nice however almost 2 months after i bought my car i noticed a oil leak i took it to a shop near my house since i didn't live close to the dealer. I found out it was my transfer case that was leaking i also found out that the reinforcement bar that holds the bumper in place was completely rusted holes as big as dollar bill on it i was told by a state inspection place that they shouldn't have sold me this car like this that it is a safety issue it wouldn't of passed state inspection like that they stuck my life and the life of my children's at risk. I called them right away spoke to john who sold me the car i sent him pictures of it all and he told me i would need to bring it in for them to look at it they didn't want to believe that this car slipped through the holes. The next day the service people called me he stated that they were gonna fix the transfer case and he actually had a bumper reinforcement bar there for my car already i asked him if they just ordered it he stated no it has been there before the car was even sold he couldn't explain to me why the car was sold before it was fixed. He couldn't explain to me why it had inspection stickers on it since it wouldn't of passed inspection until it was fix it was inspected in may i bought the car in july and he really couldn't explain to me why NO one called me when they noticed the part there someone needs to be blamed for this i am really upset that no one called me no one took the blame and no one apologized. They thought everything would be ok since they fixed it. I asked the sales manager who called me why all this happened it seemed as if i was just getting excuses to cover it up. How was i suppose to know that everything is ok with the car if there were stickers just thrown on it in the first place without making sure everything was done what else was wrong with it i was told didn't i have someone else look at it well no I had someone look at the oil leak when he stuck it up on the lift that is when he noticed the reinforcement bar he didn't look over my whole car which i will be doing that since this only was like 2 weeks ago this all went down. I was told he was going to have someone else not the person who stuck the stickers on it in the first place but someone else look over to make sure nothing else was wrong do i trust it HELL NO i don't i was told everything was good on it sure it better be. I am upset that NO ONE reached out to me to make sure everything was ok still not very professional. i know if i didn't discover this before their 3 month warranty was up i would of been the one screwed i know they wouldn't of covered it they would of blamed me i wonder how many other people got screwed like i was with this place. i know they fixed it and i didn't have to pay for it but that isn't the point again someone needs to take this blame what if me or my family were rear ended we could of been seriously hurt. This is a big dealership not a little dealership. I will be spreading the word about this place and i will never buy another car from them again. Riverside Chevrolet I purchased my car in 2017. My brakes went straight to the floor they told me that was normal I told them it was not. I literally had to stand on the brakes I took it to the dealership, they lifted my brake pedal and said everything was fine. The very next week my brake light comes on. I returned to Riverview where I was threatened by the service manager because he he's dropped on a conversation between me and my husband. The manager of the dealership was the most insincere and offered me no recourse against one of his employees. They ended up keeping my car when it was returned to me a week later I just started to drive out of their parking lot and I noticed my oil light had come on. I immediately turned around into in their parking lot and pulled into the service Bay and ask them did they have any common sense they had my car for a week with the oil light on why did they not call me and ask if I wanted my oil change which by the way was free under my warranty. I had to make an appointment for the very next day. I have not received an apology from the man that threatened me and I did tell the general manager that I would be taking my car to another Chevy dealership to have its maintenance done regular maintenance but if anything technical I would be coming back to Riverview. Side note everyone that knows about cars knows about certain laws three visits oops on them. I have never been to a car dealership that disregards their customers in the way that Riverview has done to me. I would not and could not in good conscience recommend that you buy a car or service from Riverview Chevrolet in McKeesport Pennsylvania.
