I brought a very sentimental family piece to mad river to refinish before I moved out of state. I…read morewas very clear on my timeline when contacting him about the project. I dropped the piece off on 6/20. Mind you I live two and a half hours away and drove to him because this project was important to me. He told me he was running a three week turn around and I explicitly said I would be moving 7/22 many times. This was never discussed to be an issue. By July I had heard no updates and reached out multiple times for communication with no reply. On 7/8 I got word from the wood refinisher he subcontracts with that she had not received the piece and could not complete her end on time. At which time I tried many times to contact mad river only to find out they were on a two week vacation which was never communicated to me. At this point NO WORK had even been started! And there had been absolutely ZERO communication from Mad River Upholstery. So after having my piece for a month I picked it back up (again driving two and a half hours) and they had done absolutely nothing. No communication, no professionalism, no time management. Disappointed is an understatement. All he did was waste my valuable time. This business is poorly run and he should be embarrassed. Do not trust anything valuable with this company!

After purchasing an antique morris chair needing new cushions and thinking "I can do that" I…read morerealized it was more that I was willing to tackle so did a lot of research looking for someone to take on my job. I found Keith @ Tri-State.....he was very responsive with telephone as well as text....patient with walking us through the fabric selection process...and the finished cushion covers were perfect- we love them and now enjoy our "old" morris chair. After that I came across an old family heirloom chair in our garage...and my first thought was..."I would like to do it myself" but realized Keith was our go to guy. After much deliberation in selecting the right fabric we decided he would do the job for us....perfection with every last detail thought of. We HIGHLY recommend Keith- his service, attention to detail and his professionalism. Thank you Keith
