I regret to inform you that our experience with this company has been far from satisfactory. Despite their promises, we have encountered issues of dishonesty, subpar customer service, and a failure to deliver on commitments. We requested two middle roof support poles as warranty replacements. To complete the warranty claim, we had to order replacement parts through an authorized Tomberline service, the closest of which was Carts on 12, located a 2.5-hour drive from us. We contacted Mr. Ed and followed his instructions. However, we had to reach out to him multiple times to ascertain the status of our replacement, and he repeatedly asked for the same part information that we had already provided twice. After approximately four calls spanning two months, he finally confirmed that he had the parts. However, he stated that shipping them to us would be too expensive and suggested that we pick them up instead. Given the shipping costs he quoted, we decided that driving there would be more cost-effective. Upon our return and upon opening the sealed box containing the parts, we were shocked and disappointed by what we found. The middle roof support poles were used, with visible scratches and faded paint. The box also contained incorrect screws and lacked other parts such as rubber seals. When we raised these issues with Mr. Ed, he suggested that we buy black paint and repaint everything ourselves and purchase the necessary screws and seals from a hardware store. We disagreed with this approach and insisted on receiving the correct parts. Although initially hesitant, Mr. Ed agreed to provide another part. Unfortunately, the second replacement middle roof support pole, which we had to pick up from a different location, did not fit our model. Upon inspection, we noticed that the pole appeared to be used, with freshly painted rusty spots, fingerprints from recent paint application, and signs of washers from a previous installation. We discussed these issues with Mr. Ed, who insisted that the pole was brand new. We expressed our concerns and informed him that we could not afford to waste any more time on this matter, and that we would be reaching out to Tomberline customer service for assistance. During our conversation, Mr. Ed became noticeably agitated and began to raise his voice over the phone, insisting that we comply with his directives. At this juncture, we chose to terminate the call and reach out to Tomberline customer service for intervention. A few hours later, we received a call from Villa Park Police Department, informing us that Mr. Ed intends to press charges for theft. Furthermore, we received an invoice today containing inaccurate information. This business appears to be out of control, and we cannot recommend it. read more
