Please Sadly, Our…read morebeautiful Mabel & ourselves were badly let down by this practice. We had been long time clients. When Mabel developed a bad cough, retching at the end and a small solid lump on her hip, we brought her here for a full examination. She was diagnosed with kennel cough & lump called insignificant. 2 weeks later we returned because the cough had worsened and the lump had doubled. The diagnosis remained the same. Asked for bloods to be done. A week later we returned and saw a different vet, Conor. He told us the blood results were clear, we asked about doing imaging, he told us we would be throwing our money away. When we asked how confident he was with the diagnosis, he laughed and said he had been in this game over 35 years. He also told us to stop bringing Mabel in over niggling little things, he said if you keep looking for things, you'll find them and regarding the lump, he said sure we all get lumps and bumps as we get older. Still concerned, we brought Mabel to another vet. Who diagnosed an enlarged heart. Started meds . We still weren't satisfied as symptoms were not clearing up . Went to killester vets. They carried out full imaging and biopsies. Mabel was diagnosed with tumors in her lung, on hip and lower leg, it was an agressive cancer. She sadly passed away last Saturday. Had O'Scanaill vets taken our concerns seriously they would have done a full investigation including imaging which they did not . We are absolutely sickened by the treatment we received from O'Scanaill vets. While this practice maybe fine for routine check ups, we felt there was a serious lack of care and attention given to both the animals and the concerns of their owners. Ask yourself how much you love your pet before bringing them here .

From reception, nurses to Connor and Dave. They love and care for your animal "child, family member" as I do with sincere love and affection. The reality is you just can't buy that! It's important to say price wise, while Charlie's well being is more important than money, these guys for me and Charlie are not in it for the money. Highly highly recommend. Thank you.

Tiny was 8 weeks short of his 17th birthday when he took bad at home one Sunday afternoon. When I rang Paul he arranged to meet me 20 minutes later at his clinic. Tiny's heart was barely beating so Paul had to put him to sleep. He didn't want to disturb Tiny so, at my request, he put him to sleep in the car where there was no pain and was very peaceful. Tiny just fell asleep in my arms. I cannot thank Paul enough and would highly recommend him and his staff. Eddie and family.

I'm sure Paul would've done a fantastic job. Unfortunately my kitty turned out to be 3 weeks pregnant already, so Paul had to perform a different type of surgery.. Kitty is still in recovery, but I'm writing the review already. I liked the clinic. Somehow Paul seemed to be a more "genuine" doctor than other vets in Ireland. The clinic is different by itself. Not as pristine and glamorous like some clinics in Dublin. But somehow messy genuine with singing parrot and unusual smells. I plan to rent a car in future again and drive to that clinic for any routine topics. I hope I've found the right place finally. Where "business" is simply a necessary shape of functioning, and the core is way away from that. And btw, they didn't charge me extra for a more complex and unexpected situation. On top of initial 30min consult over the phone on the keyhole spaying topic when I rang them the first time. Wishing all the best to Paul and the clinic.

I have only been unlucky enough to have to visit a couple of times in the past few years but I have always been happy with the service! I brought my spooky body sensitive Husky here to be seen to by Mark last week with some mystery symptoms that I was really worried about and he really took his time with her and was very patient to ensure she was as chilled out as possible! After a thorough examination he administered anti-inflammatorys for a pulled muscle in her back and took plenty of time to explain her meds for the week and put me at ease. The clinic is kept spotless and is divided into two seperate buildings, the one on the right is Just for Cats. They stock the usual vet recommended foods and meds, have a clean waiting room and a couple of appointment rooms. They have a spacious car park in front of the practice and take card payments!

He has recently developed a little cist on top of his head so I rang them. I asked if it would be OK to drop in for a minute to tell me what they thought about it. They made me wait one full hour In their lobby. Eventually somebody came and took him in a room, made a full check, weight him ( he had a booster check with them one month before) . I have to hold him because they don't even want to do it themselves which is hard because I have a bad arm. They told me to Come back and invoiced me 40 euros ! Customer service zero! Be careful they are after your money big time. No recommended to go there.

An emergency; why else would i be calling the vet at 8.30 on a sunday morning?…read more er, yup, an emergency all right, i told wifey i had booked the cat into the cattery yesterday, i had stretched the truth considerably. so crossing my fingers and all other bendy bits of my anatomy, i call Ark. Rebecca says "of course, no problem, when and for how long!?" er... in about an hour for five nights, thanks! ...and that is how Ark saved my marriage and the holiday and possibly various bendy bits of my anatomy. At 13.09 euro a night they are not the cheepest but the beast was well looked after and for short stays, utterly brilliant.

Her name was Pepper and she was a bit of a 'Woose'. His name was Paul and he could cope…read more Walking down the road with Pepper the other day (dog in case you had not guessed) she started to cough a bit. I am not a fussy dog owner rushing off to the Vet every time a dog sneezes but with Pepper I visit Nursing Home so it is important that she stays healthy. Trotted off to the Vet and Paul was able to see us quite quickly. When I am sick I want to see a Vet - no hanging around. He checked her over and said 'Kennel cough'! Be warned dog owners it is going around again. Checked her knees as I had noticed her 'Bunny hopping' - looks funny but not a good sign. Bit of a shock as he said that her right knee was worse and that surgery might be needed and better it was done sooner rather than later when she may be in more pain as she gets older. Tuesday was mentioned! Small panic thinking is it covered by Pet Plan and yes it was. Last Tuesday Pepper had her surgery and everyone there was so kind and considerate. Paul was available to talk when I needed to check that she was doing okay. I slept downstairs as it was easier to keep an eye on her - apart from my sleeping and Pepper making her way upstairs the night of her surgery and back down again while I was sound asleep! Housebound for a while - stairs blocked - and big collar to stop her licking the wound until healed a bit. Stitches were removed today and all well - gentle exercise and small amount of physiotherapy and to be carried up and down stairs. They were great. Pepper obviously was happy to go back there as no cowering from Paul so perhaps she is not quite the 'Woose' I thought. Would I go back? I have to but happily.
