Staff seemed very nice, made and appointment and arrived slightly early to be greeted kindly. After waiting for 40 minutes over our appointment time with no explanation as to why, we decided to leave as we had to be back to work, 40 mins is WAY to long to wait with no reason given... Very disappointing and if a time is scheduled it should be met within 10/15 mins if it, otherwise, at least an explanation. Needless to say we won't be back! read more

I do not recommend. I had awful experience here. The owner vet Edward Gillic failed to carry out simple basic care with regard to my pet animal. Due to sheer wrecklessness and complete incompetence his actions or rather 'inactions' resulted in the unnecessary loss of life of one of my pets. Nothing in this world could ever replace such devastating loss to me in which is something I have to live with for the rest of my life. This vet is purely inexperienced in matters of which he proclaims to be an expert. Even mere 'accountability' was not afforded to me for his own fatal errors. This is not a competent vet on so many levels and far from skilled. His aproach and manner toward pet patient was clumsy, at times rough and over all very blaise. Far too many oversights with regard to imperative medical attention which ought to have been administered and not left to 'chance' of which this vet failed to adhere on both counts and even basic medical standard was exempt of cautionary approach. I deeply regret entrusting my most treasured pets in this individuals care. It was the biggest mistake of my life. I would absolutely not trust this vet and his establishment to anyone. This vet destroyed my life. He ripped away from me the life of my pup and fcuked up my other pet dog. My whole world has been ripped apart by this idiot who should be struck off. This vet FAILED my beautiful little pets. FAILED me. UNFORGIVABLE! Following the needless loss of life to my pup by this vets pure ignorance and incompetence, my second pet never recovered from her ordeal. She has continued to decline and now has 'serious ' life threatening complications arising from the trauma Edward gillic caused. She has immediately changed and not my same dear healthy little pet. This vet is an insult to the vet profession. An insult. No laws and/or regulation in this country, so the 'bad' ones will always be able to continue getting away with malpractice and in turn destroying people's lives forever. He should not be allowed to practice let alone have a licence to claim to own a practice. I hope no one else ever goes through the immense heartache this irresponsible, unskilled nightmare of a vet caused to me and my pets life. read more

Superb veterinary practice. Have been using them last 17yrs. Great care has been taken of my dog up to his last hour. Have two new dogs and would not bring them anywhere else but to Edward and his fantastic team. read more

One of the best vets in the country, with knowledge of many specialist conditions and procedures and an expertise in surgery and orthopaedics. Even though we live 45 minutes away, we take all our dogs and cats (and we haver many) to Edward at Moss and have also had excellent support and care from Kurt and Peter. They are also the vets of choice for numerous dog and cat rescues (including mine), many of them an hour or more away, because of their comprehensive care. Compassionate, knowledgeable care from the earliest checkups for puppies and kittens through to caring support at end of life for a dog or cat. Extremely supportive to rescues at every level. I especially like that they are a honest about, and do not push for costly diagnostics and procedures that are unlikely to change the direction of care (though they are more than happy to do them for a given client if that is preferred, but what is important is they always go through options and potential outcomes) and also offer many generic, cost-effective medication options (many vets use the most expensive brand). Sometimes there can be a wait to see the vet (as at every vet practice -- I have regularly used several different Dublin and Wicklow-area practices for rescue dogs) -- but I have found this is generally due to the longer time spent with clients that need extra time. I cannot count the times staff have bent over backwards too accommodate an emergency or a last minute rescue situation. Five stars. read more
