I have been dealing with Dogs in Distress for several years. I have rescued two of my dogs from them. They are an amazing Charity Rescue and they work hard to ensure all their dogs get very suitable fosterers and homes. I found them to be great for advice on animal health and welfare. We were looking for the perfect dog and Dogs In Distress found him for us. We had a long conversation with one of the volunteers who quickly understood our needs. Having fostered as they do, it's a way of being able to give accurate feedback on the dog and its behaviours. We were able to meet him and see him in a home environment and had a good chat with his wonderful practical Foster Mother. We were worried about our cat, we wanted to be sure the dog would tolerate her, and they facilitated a trial day. Everything worked out well, they are now good friends!! I contacted this amazing organisation. I had a dog that unfortunately I could no longer keep they were fantastic from start to finish. They collected my dog with food for him found him a foster home who have gone onto adopt him. These guys are fantastic and a volunteer gog rescue at that. We were looking for a second dog and wanted a rescue, after contact with DIDistress a couple of chats, house visit by a lovely lady and we met our lovely new dog. It doesn't stop there as after care and interest in the dogs wellbeing is of great concern to DID which is fantastic.
