LOVE their stuff. Exterior/Location: A smaller store on Michigan. Interior: Could use some renovation. This is not as nice as the Beverly Hills store. Vibe/Ambiance: Hoidy-toidy. Noses in the air. Staff: They are nice and helpful, but you will get the once over. Clientele: Anyone who can afford their stuff. Price: Ultra high end Must get items: Anything here... maybe a timeless love bracelet. Why I love or hate it: Love it. I wear it. Final thoughts: Save you pennies and buy Cartier. It holds its value. They are investment pieces. read more

Amazing experience shopping here. My husband surprised me with three different bracelets on separate occasions and I have to say hands down Lesley V was amazing. She's very patient, kind and very knowledgeable about the items. We were greeted by the security and everyone in the store was just nice and welcoming. If you need anything from Cartier I highly recommend Lesley! read more

I'm so sad to be writing this review, this was not how I expected my so anticipated 30th birthday present purchase to feel. First of all I want to start off by saying that our sales rep Naan was AMAZING, sweet and kind so this 1 star review has nothing to do with her. This review is for the entire store and all the unprofessional people working there. Upon walking in the security guard greeted us which was great. We stood there for at least 5mins waiting for anyone to acknowledge us, felt pretty awkward just standing there. Therefore I told my boyfriend let's go find the love ring so I can show you what I want, again looking and standing around for another 5mins. At this point we are getting frustrated, we are in Chicago for vacation from Las Vegas, so we could of made this purchase at home. Finally I approached one of the employees and asked if anyone was available to help us with a purchase. Hence at the point we been in the store for over 10mins and only the security guard has acknowledged us. Her response was "everyone is busy, I can put you on the wait list" hmmm excuse me sales representative but did you forget all your customer service skills at home?! maybe start with apologies for the wait, or just a simple greeting before starting the conversation. She put us on the list and we waited some more. At this point we are upset, because we wanted this purchase to be an unforgettable experience and it sure was but an awful one. We stood around some more and at this point we been in the store for over 20mins standing around. Another sales rep comes over to "help us " and she just didn't really seem to care for us. Didn't introduce herself, was not polite at all, basically everything you expect from a high end purchase was completely lacking. She seemed annoyed she had to help us, then finally Naan came to save the day, she took over the sale not sure why and was beyond attentive. She was the ONLY reason we purchased that ring at that store. I've considered returning it and repurchasing it here in Las Vegas. I've never spent 2,000 and gotten treated so poorly. I'm so disappointed in Cartier and I hope this review serves them to further improve. read more

Cartier - Cartier love ring - Jewelry Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

Just stopped by with my wife. We needed to have her finger resized for a love ring that I purchased her recently ( too big ). Literally waited 25 minutes without a greeting from any of the three salespeople, or any acknowledgment whatsoever. Left the store without being spoken to. The doorman was very apologetic, but that's no excuse. Not sure if it was racism or just standard pretension, but it was inexcusable . Please go elsewhere for your needs. I will literally be handling the size exchange through the Cartier website now. Contemplating returning the ring altogether after this poor treatment. I will be forwarding this complaint to corporate as well. read more

I was very excited to be purchasing my first truly fine watch and had selected a couple of watches that I wanted most to see. When I arrived at Cartier Michigan Avenue I was greeted warmly and invited to look around the boutique whilst we waited for our assigned salesperson. That person was held over and, lucky me, I was taken care of by Erin Peterson Morgan. I had come in originally to see two larger watches and was surprised to find that the smaller, less expensive Tank watch had my heart. At no point did I feel like I should be spending more and I was treated with great care and, even better, Erin was excited for me that I was purchasing my dream watch. Erin's service made me feel like a truly valued customer. Example: I am a curvier woman and needed extra links added to my watch. There was a delay in when those links would be received. Erin found a workaround so that I could have my watch earlier than expected! If you are looking for watches or jewelry you can't top Cartier and Erin Peterson Morgan's stellar and caring service. read more

Thank you Cartier!! You are indeed "Jeweler to the King and the King of Jewelers." I am head over heels in love with my stunning ladies 33MM Ballon Bleu de Cartier watch. I also love my Panthere and Tank Francaise watches. It is terrific to know Princess Kate the Duchess of Cambridge wears the same BB model. Its guilloche face appears as if it floats upon my wrist. I feel giddy just opening the elegant red Cartier boxes. None of my Rolex watches made me fall in love at first sight as the Ballon Bleu did. The Tank Francaise is truly an iconic watch crafted in stylish elegance that says "I'm a Cartier." read more

Lauren and Chris are FANTASTIC! This location is beautiful and has best customer service and employees ever. Can't recommend enough!!!

Obviously, glancing at my every day watch as I type (a fairly modest Tissot), I definitely don't fit the typical Cartier patron demographic. So why the four stars? I think that unless you DO fit the Cartier demographic, you'll probably feel a bit self-conscious at this category of luxury retailers. It's nothing personal against you; it's just a proof that their brand and image management is working. I believe that other than to serve the tiny percentage of shoppers that pass its window on Michigan Avenue who actually do shop at Cartier, the sole purpose of their existence is market presence in one of the premier retail strips in North America. Going back to my experience, I did consider one of their low-end watches as my choice for as a wedding gift from my father-in-law (it's a once-in-a-life gift). Even for such a special occasion, it was way out of my price range. Nonetheless, the sales consultant who worked with me for 20 minutes was professional and courteous, and shared many personal opinions and adivices despite the obvious fact that I will probably NOT be able to afford anything there. That last fact, it was obvious that we both knew that the other knew it. I walked out that day not buying the watch I was eyeing, but I also walked out respecting the brand and its products much more than I used to. Now, in the interest of full disclosure, I DID end up getting a Cartier watch from an authorized dealer who was willing to work the price (a little, not much, however). You can also get some of their low-end models in CostCo (it'll still cost you thousands), and it's cheaper than the Cartier store, BUT I believe it won't be covered under Cartier's warranty (but Costco's). read more

The ONLY store on Michigan Avenue this weekend that didn't have their sidewalk shoveled. They were clearly open, and there was definitely time for them to clear it, the snow had stopped a good 12 hours prior. Perhaps it's the building's fault, but them being the flagship tenant should take some initiative and do it themselves. They're breaking the law, and they're lazy. Why would I want to shop there. read more

Was in Chicago for business and had a chance to stop by the store. Not the biggest or best Cartier, but still nice. Stopped in because I lost the small strap retaining pin on the deployment buckle of my Roadster. I can't remember the salesman name, shorter caucasian gentlemen who wears black framed eye glasses (just in case management is reading this) was incredibly helpful and service like that is much appreciated. I always like to give praise for good service especially when most people only speak out with complaints. If you're a guy and thinking about getting a Rolex, look at Cartier, much more exclusive and definitely a better looking watch. read more

Really loved my experience shopping at Cartier today. We were instantly greeted by someone when we entered store and were offered help. All the sale associates were very friendly and asked us if we need anything while we were waiting. Particularly our sales associate Jing Zhou was super friendly and helped us pick the perfect gift for my mother. We didn't feel being pushed at all and she was very patient in helping us finding the right choice. She also showed me other collections for myself and offered to clean my love bracelets while we were selecting gifts which was super nice of her. It was a very nice experience shopping at Cartier and thanks Jing for the exceptional service! read more

This location is terrible. I dropped off jewelry for repair and haven't been able to come back in to pick up because no one answers their phone line to schedule an appointment. Really disappointing customer service. read more

It's pretty pathetic when you receive a gift and then question if it's real or fake!! My eternity band was totally tarnished. I made numerous phone calls and ended up sending it back for a "diagnostic " as they call it!! Fancy name for we will charge you 220.00 to polish your ring. No THANK YOU!! Furthermore they haven't called me once or emailed me! I've constantly called them and Still haven't received my ring back. Thank goodness Im friends with a attorney who said he would be happy to take this to another level! read more

On December 12,2022 I ordered a Love bracelet for $7400 from Cartier for my husband's birthday. I had the bracelet gift wrapped from Cartier and therefore it was not opened until I gave it to him on the evening of January 1, 2023. Upon opening we found the bracelet was too small and therefore was never worn. We called on January 2,2023 to start the exchange process. The bracelet was shipped by FedEx on January 3, 2023 and received by Cartier January 9, 2023. We were told it would be a 14 day process. Taking beyond that time we reached out to Cartier and they said it should be finished that day and a new one sent the following day. The following day we still heard nothing so called back and we're originally told it wasn't completed but once we asked to speak to a manager we were told it was just completed and the exchange was denied due to damage. Originally they stated the damage was due to tightening the screw too tight and we had scratched the bracelet all up, then the next day were told the damage was from trying to open it too wide. Neither of these things were done by us because the bracelet was never even worn. We were told our only option was to take back the damaged bracelet with no refund or have it remade for another $2220 on top of the $7400 we already paid for the bracelet for a total of $9620 for one Love bracelet. We were also told the "reproduction" time is 20 weeks. There was no way that we damaged this bracelet and all we are asking for is a different size. For the only option to be pay more money or get a damaged bracelet back is ridiculous. This is a luxury brand and the customer service is awful. They have a very condescending tone with you when you speak to them and basically put your back against the wall to get more money. We have done research and found this had happened to people over and over again with Cartier. Making you wonder if they are damaging the returns to get more money read more

Just picked up my tank watch after being repaired. Looks shiny & new. Staff is always very professional & polished. Erin is a gem.

I have been a client of Cartier's for over twenty years. I purchased several watches, a bracelet and my wedding rings there. I always get my watches serviced there despite the cost being never below $450. I'm fine with that because the professionalism and service level has always been 5 stars. Well, except when it isn't. I took one of my Cartier watches in for servicing and they suggested a full service which was $400. I was told it would take three weeks. I was perfectly happy with all of that. The watch was returned on time and looked great. At the same time was only child was diagnosed with breast cancer at 34 years old and knowing she always admired the watch decided to give it her. Within 2 weeks it stopped working. Literally stopped. I had it shipped back to Dallas because despite authorized dealers, not one of them can actually fix it because Cartier doesn't supply parts to them. It took three weeks and was returned with a list of almost a dozen items that were fixed. I have to wonder what they did for $400 the first time, perhaps they didn't do anything. After it's return, my daughter started wearing it. I live in Chicago and she lives in Seattle and wearing the watch while having chemo was so important to her. To have me close despite not being there with her. Within 3 days, the clasp broke. Seriously? What is this service center in Dallas doing? I called again and all I asked from the service department was that I wanted it fixed with same day turn around, after all this. My daughter was heading into surgery post chemo and I was desperate for her to be able to wear it. Not one of their so called ambassadors could do anything. They spoke kindly and patiently but they were all inept to do anything including Daisy from the actual store in Chicago. By now I have been in Seattle three weeks to support my child and I can't even reach someone who has some authority to help. When I said I wanted an answer on this situation within a day, I was told they can only reach service by email, they don't have a phone number. Really? Who are you kidding? I literally was so frustrated I hung up on them and at this point I have no idea what the status is. Perhaps they will just keep the watch. One thing I know is I'm so sad that my child, going through one of the most difficult times in her life and I couldn't get a watch fixed in the time it's taken to cure her cancer. As I started shopping for a new Cartier watch in the past 5 months as a gift to her for enduring all that she has, I think I'll switch to Rolex. read more

Came to this store to have the battery of my wife's Tank watch replaced. The people in the store were very nice and professional. Although it takes 2 days to replace a battery, i've decided to take no risk and leave it in "good hands". I had pay the replacement fee in advance. Two days later i receive a call from their technician asking me if i would want to perform the service on the watch for $425. I declined and just asked him to replace the battery. Another two days later, my wife goes to pick up the watch, goes back home...and realized that the watch was not working...the battery was not replaced. She followed up with Cartier, and she's been told that no charge was applied...but no reason why the battery was not changed. I have followed up with the store and the money will be charged back. The technician's note in their system...battery leaking and that is why it needed maintenance. This is not what he told me when he called trying to sell his service!!! The watch has stop working for 5 days (july 14th) and we bought it 3 years ago...battery don't leak unless they are dead and 5 days is not a time long enough. This experience is far from what i would expect from Cartier and this type of dishonest conduct from their technician should make this store think about how you approach your customers. Did you loose $425 or a potential future sale? read more

4 years ago, I went to the Cartier boutique for a watch battery change. The watch stopped the day before and very clearly there was no battery leakage or any other damage to the watch. First, the battery could not be changed while I am in the shop. After 2 days I get a call and the technician told me that the battery was leaking and that the watch needed a expensive full service to clean up. I am a watch collector and was more than a little surprised as the story didn't really add up at all and the mechanic just wanted to sell an expensive service. This time I had to change a band of a watch and went back to the store. The service person was friendly after she realized that I may be able to afford products and services in the shop. They changed the band right there while I was in shop. However, the mechanic didn't clean up the oily dust from the old band of the back of the watch. Pretty pure work quality, given how expensive the replacement was and how "sophisticated" the shop is supposed to be. They also oversaw that the clasp didn't lined up and close tight. I would not recommend this specific Cartier Boutique for any repairs/maintenance because of the work quality. And you can have also a better and less "snobby" shopping experience with other high end jewelry or watch stores in Chicago. read more

Amazing experience shopping here. Ended up getting a ring that was just a size too large and it slid off my finger the day after buying it. Poor customer service. My wife and I frequently purchase high end merchandise including her tank watch from Cartier. We recently stopped in to have the battery replaced. We were greeted by the security guards immediately upon walking in. They stated a sales representative would be with us momentarily. Several minutes had passed and still no one came to speak with us. The security guard, sensing our frustration, went to the back to get someone to help us. Once again, he assured us that someone would be right out. Tired of waiting around, we left the store. We walked north to the Tourneau store at Water Tower Place to have the battery replaced. They had it finished in one hour and I walked out with a new watch! read more

Very disappointing. I purchase high end gifts fairly often, but will not do so from this store again. Unlike Tiffany, which will messenger purchased items to me for free and without question, my attempt to purchase a gift was questioned, I was asked if I had ever purchased from there before (which I had 3 months ago) then was told messengering would add $40 to my bill. And then when I went to pick it up instead, I had to wait for service after I had already purchased the gift over the phone. No thank you; I will take my business elsewhere. read more

I went into Cartier Boutique to have the battery changed for my watch on Saturday, I was there close to 5 minutes, the shop was not even busy. It seemed no one wanted to greet me. When I walked towards two workers (a man and a woman), the woman looked at me from head to toe and said nothing. I was lucky enough that the male employee talked to me and took care of me since the technician is off weekends, I had to put in an order for Monday, then the watch should be ready by Wednesday. When Wednesday came, I did not hear anything so I called to hear a big long story that my watch needed repairs, I refused. I said I needed only the battery changed. Last year alone I did not wear that watch at all, it's been stored in the drawer and it needed a repair?...when I went in to pick it up, once entering the door, one old male worker looked at me. This time I was lucky he did not look at me from head to toe, but he looked pass through me, did not say anything and continue working. I felt very awkward. However, the security guy who happened to be nearby asked me if I needed help. And he helped me. I don't mind paying extra for a battery change but to receive treatment like that. Enough for Cartier. I will campaign for my friends and my family not to buy from Cartier anymore. read more

SERVICE AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL Service defined reads: "The action of helping or doing work for someone". While visiting Chicago, I decided to treat myself to a Birthday present. After being disappointed with a previous purchase of a key chain from a different Cartier location, I was delighted to visit the Chicago boutique. It was my last day in town and I arrived at the doors of Cartier at 6:01 p.m.-technically closing time. I pulled on the door and it was locked! I looked at the guard and said, "PLEEEEEEAAAAAAAASE let me in. I am from out of town and leaving in the morning. I have a return and the Cartier located in Seattle has closed." He looked at me and stated, "One Moment" (in a deep voice-LOL!). He came back and opened the door! YES! After getting beyond those beautiful locked doors, I met two amazing people. Danijela Dedic the Boutique Director and Erin Peterson a Sales Associate. I felt welcomed and taken care of. They allowed me to take my time and look around and when I did not find anything that tickled my fancy, I was able to return the defective key chain for another one. They took such great care of me. Once I slipped ;-) and told them it was my Birthday, they surprised me with Champaign! What Class! I almost cried! LOL! The most important part of this experience for me was that even though I did not purchase anything, they treated me so well. They genuinely cared about the customer and Cartier as a Brand. I will definitely return to this location for all of my Cartier needs. Cheers Ladies! Whoop! Whoop! LOL read more

Unfortunately my favorite salesperson has left Cartier and when I went in recently to look at Love bracelets the shopping experience was definitely not the same. The salesperson was very friendly and pleasant but was more concerned with me scratching the Love bracelet on my other jewelry than selling me the bracelet. Do they ever sell the merchandise on display anyway??? I also had some basic questions about the Love bracelets that the salesperson could not answer. If I decide to purchase the bracelet, I will either buy it online or at a different Cartier. read more

The service is amazing here. Everyone from the girl who initially greeted us, to our salesman Michael Aguayo, and the doorguys/security we felt comfortable and welcome. Michael was very knowledgeable, professional and even gave us a few glasses of champaign to help soften the blow of this major purchase. I also noticed the salespeople have very good attitudes and are nice to everyone, even the tourists or people who come in with no intention of making a purchase. They are proud of their brand and what they sell. Cartier is a very good investment, as theIr watches are proven to hold their value well over time. If you are in the market do not buy your Cartier on-line, rather go into the Michigan Avenue store. They will help ease any concerns you may have about your purchase, and you will walk out feeling confident about your decision (important to be fully educated informed about any big ticket item prior to moving forwadd).
