    First time shopping at Cartier. I wanted a simple Love collection ring. We made a spontaneous trip to Cartier and walked in. I was a bit overwhelmed when first walking in, but Pedro was very kind to walk us through. He was informative and got us what I needed. It was a birthday gift and Pedro helped to make our first purchase special.

    Here's a little story... Way back in the late 80s, I was gifted a Must de Cartier Vendome watch upon my graduation from college. The Must de Cartier watch line was essentially a collection which allowed more accessibility to the brand. Translation: They were much cheaper than Cartier's flagship classics e.g., the Tank, the Santos, the Panther. So here I was, 34 years ago, newly moved to Chicago for grad school, when my watch needed a new strap and battery. So I hopped on the campus shuttle, which dropped me off downtown, and I made my way to Cartier (which I believe is still in the same location on the Mag Mile today). I walk in, and I was clearly a student (read: probably had no money). I pull out my "cheapy" Cartier quartz watch and inquire about a new strap and battery. The lovely sales person immediately helped me, remarked how my watch was one of her favorite designs, and happily took care of my request. I remember that I felt so good to be treated so kindly when all I needed was a repair. Fast forward from 1988 to 2022, and a dear friend and I decide to pop in on a Saturday and treat ourselves to a few baubles (note we did not make an appointment). The store was actually pretty busy, and we were asked to put our name in and an available sales professional would assist us. Barely 10 minutes later we were greeted warmly. Now, I'm a pretty straight forward shopper, and I was there to purchase a classic Trinity ring, and that was it. However my friend was considering several options and designs, and required a bit more support. Our sales person deftly helped her out, providing helpful information, and all the while engaging us in warm and friendly banter. So to tie this all together: No matter what type of customer you have, always treat them like they're the best you've ever had. And in my experience, this seems to be the case at Cartier and the absolutely exceptional sales professional who took care of us.

    I was in the Cartier Chicago store in September and received excellent customer service from Nan Zhang. She was very helpful, thoughtful and considerate. She made my first time in a Cartier boutique feel special. When I am back in Chicago I will definitely make a trip back to the boutique!

    I am so disappointed. I just received my love bracelet as a gift to myself and it won't stay locked. I almost lost it in the grocery store . The screw just fell out and I had my daughter tighten it for me... I believe it arrived stripped. A $5,000 bracelet I cannot return because I had it engraved 40th. I sure hope Michigan Ave can help because otherwise it's no longer a birthday present to me (10/13) it will take 3 weeks to come back. I hope this can be fixed so I can style and profile. If not I will never purchase from Cartier online or boutique. And here my husband was thinking about ordering the line ring to match... The packaging is pretty but a defective was inside. Haven't even worn it a full day yet. I went to the grocery store and noticed on my way out the bracelet was OPEN There's NO WAY TO FIND THAT LITTLE SCREW. *********UPDATE: After going downtown Chicago to Cartier located at 630 North Michigan Ave. I received a top notch response to the above issue. They treated me very well, understood my plight and we rapidly came to an agreement. Not only did I upgrade from the original bracelet I was given a bottle of Cartier Champagne that one cannot find anywhere. On top of that the Online Boutique also stepped in and truly set the record straight on backing their fine jewelry and their FINE, FINE, WORLD RENOWNED NAME!!! After experiencing how Cartier handles issues with their merchandise I HIGHLY RECOMMEND CARTIER!!!! Thank you Service Advisor Lauren Stenzel and your Manager as well. I will definitely shop Cartier again . Cartier, you've outdone yourself indeed.

    This place is horrible. They do not accept walk-ins and will not take your business. As a Tourist you can not just make an appointment and come back next week. Unfriendly and we surely will not come back.

    Lovely place to visit and enjoy! The staff are nice but somehow the location is not as inviting and welcoming as Tiffany's.

    I recently visited this store with my friends, and we were treated absolutely unfairly. After…read morebrowsing and peacefully walking out (without buying anything), one of the workers came running after us and accused us of stealing. We were shocked, confused, and honestly embarrassed, in public for something we didn't do. They didn't ask politely or explain anything. They just assumed. No proof. No apology. nothing We cooperated and showed them we had nothing, and instead of admitting their mistake, they gave us attitude and let us go like we were guilty. This kind of treatment is completely unacceptable, especially when you treat young customers like criminals just because we're teens or don't "look" like your usual shoppers. We came to shop, not to be profiled or harassed. I will not be returning, and I wouldn't recommend this store to anyone who values basic respect.

While this short poem pretty much sums up my 30-second visit at Oriental Boutique, it is also an acrostic that describes the lady's attitude and the service. I was looking for a traditional Chinese dress (i.e. Qi Pao) for my girlfriend, whom I am going to marry. However, most of the designs cater to kids or tourists (that might explain why most positive reviews were written by non-Asian customers... just saying!) and very few of them are for adults. As someone who grew up in an ethnically Chinese background, I had seen and worn more culturally authentic and better designed traditional gowns and dresses. Many designs displayed in the store seem "oriental" in a western sense or as in what westerners think "oriental" should look like, but this is just my subjective observation and honest opinion. The lady was on the phone all the time, and when I asked her question, she literally answered, "no photo, goodbye." Okay. BYE. NEVER AGAIN! Wish I could have given a zero or a negative number.
