After checking in, the nurse practitioner on duty, Christina (a floating NP), told us around 5:10 PM that she would be "right with us." However, after finishing with her previous patient, she called in another patient who appeared to be a no-show. We politely explained that we had been waiting based on her word and the confirmation we received, and that the other patient hadn't shown up. She seemed confused by the situation, made no effort to clarify or help, and ultimately refused to see our child--offering no real explanation aside from saying she was overbooked and too busy. Her dismissive attitude, lack of professionalism, and unwillingness to help were extremely frustrating. We waited 45 minutes, only to be denied care for our 4-year-old. If a provider is too overwhelmed to assess a young child--especially when there's a no-show appointment and we're on standby--that's a serious problem. This experience was unacceptable. We won't be returning to this location.
