I was always too tempted to buy adorable baby stuff and just horde it away. Not good. However, now that we are expecting the Little Man, and we just happened to be in the area, we decided to stop in. This is my kind of boutique. It's small and quite specialized, and a little on the pricier side, but they have some great stuff. I was particularly impressed with the selection of diaper bags. I've been finding it really hard to find a great looking, functional diaper bag at all, let alone something that's going to work for both me and my husband. They had several in our allotted diaper bag budget that fit the bill. They also had the cuts selection of wooden soother clips. The girl working was very helpful and willing to answer questions while still giving us space to browse on our own, which I appreciate. Some places find it hard to strike that balance. And, if I find they had something I can't get anywhere else, I will definitely kae the trip back to Summerside to pay them a visit. Well done.

I had a chance to run in here last month while my daughter was at ski lessons and what a treat! Books were on clearance for $1 that day! YES - $1 books! Came home with a giant bag filled with books to overfill our already filled bookshelves! But hey, since when could one have too many books? Once Upon a Child is HANDS DOWN the best consignment store chain for used children's clothing and accessories. I've frequented them in Edmonton for several years now and even visited one in Saskatoon! You can drop off your gently used clothing and toys to trade in for store credit if you'd like as well. They offer a frequent purchaser stamp card to earn discounts and usually have coupons in the SUTP coupon book. They are on facebook and have an e-mail list if you would like advance notice for upcoming sales and specials! They also carry new items like Melissa & Doug at prices below what you would find at Toys R Us. Once Upon A Child is most definitely a dream come true for frugal shoppers who know that a baby outfit may get worn once or not at all!

Now that they've created a new listing I am copying my review here: When Birth Source closed earlier this year the local natural parenting community lost a much-loved resource. So I was thrilled when I heard that Tracey was re-opening with a new name, location, and partnership! The shop is now located in Ritchie, right near Acme Meats. They have made excellent use of the new smaller space and carry all the awesome products Birth Source used to (like my favourite Padraig slippers!) and it sounds like they've got some great new stuff coming too. They've also got a play area to keep your little ones occupied while you shop. As an avid babywearer I am excited to once again have a brick and mortar store with a great carrier selection and staff who are educated in proper babywearing. This is definitely going to be my go-to spot for friends who need a new sling, wrap, or other type of carrier.

They also have baptism/communion outfits as well as shoes and dress shirts, ties, and bowties for weddings or other occasions. Plus... they have an awesome hopscotch at the front of the store! Only down side is that it can get a bit expensive (which is what is to be expected seeing as they sell designer kids clothes!).

They have a lot of work clothing, especially for trades people. Lately they've been adding a section of women's clothing to, as recognition of women in the trades. That doesn't mean if you're not a trades person, this store isn't for you.... they have relly good rugged wear for outdoors. Sales people are a bit hard to come by, but I can usually manage finding something by myself. It's hard to find things in smaller sizes for people like myself, but just be patient and dig through and you'll find something. Prices are reasonable too. It's not Walmart, but it's not Hugo Boss either. Whether it's for home renovation or for work, Marks Work Wearhouse will make you look prepared, even if you have no idea what you're doing.

There are about 4 change rooms and sometimes the clothes are left inside. I have bought sweaters, pjs, casual dresses, and shorts here. The sale items are usually 25% off or more off. They also have coupons for $10 off if one spends more than $50 on their flyers that are delivered to homes. When they have clearance items, they are a good price. I once bought shorts for $4.88. The associates that ring in my purchases aren't very friendly. This store is ok and I'll continue to shop there.

Had high hopes for more 'outlet' stores but left disappointed as there was nothing spectacular about the mall. Many of the stores are at other locations and some were offering an additional discount or sales on certain items but nothing that appealed to me. I like that Cloud Nine Pajamas opened up a store here and Pearson's that sells the cider and drinks I've been seeing at markets for years. They also sell butter tarts and other tarts. The food court was very busy and not that many food options. The mall isn't very big and once all the stores open it, maybe there will be one that interests me enough to go back.

While technically not in Leduc, this mall is out by the airport and is a 5 minute drive away (from Leduc, about 15 minutes from South Edmonton). The new mall is considered an airport mall. I think they want people on flight layovers to wander through the mall, or maybe stop in before your flight. There is a shuttle to/from the mall and the airport. There is also a bus from Edmonton (not sure where from maybe Century Park) to the mall. And a bus from Leduc to the mall. This is a nice option for those who want to visit the mall, but don't have a car (like me right now). The parking lot is quite big and there are six (or maybe seven) entrances. The mall is big and spacious. The halls and aisles are huge, which means you never really feel crowded. This mall is very clean, and I hope they can continue this throughout its use. The food court has a decent selection of options including a Starbucks, A&W, Mia Pasta, Chachie's (sandwiches), Thai Express, Shanghai 360, KFC, Barcelos, Bento Sushu, Edo Japan, Bar Burrito, New York Fries, and a Juice Bar. The only thing missing from international food court affair would probably be a Greek place, and a kebab shop, but it's a good start. There are several stores in this mall, but not all of them are open yet. However a good majority are. My favourites are - David's Tea, because I love tea. They often have sales and several times I've stopped in they've done scratch cards and I've gotten free tea. Can't argue with that. - Lindt. This is a chocolate shop. Lindt chocolate is amazing. They often give out samples and they have a few flavours that you won't find in the grocery store. This place is amazing. Enough said. - Old Navy. This is an outlet location. Sometimes Old Navy is hit and miss for me, but I usually get decent deals on jeans and I like picking up t-shirts to wear to the gym or to bed. - Pearson's Berry Farm. This store sells syrups, jams, and pies (and butter tarts). Honestly what surprised me is the fact I found Blackcurrant syrup here. I was living in Ireland for two years and Blackcurrant is a big flavour there, but I never thought I'd find it here. Now I know where I can buy a syrup to make blackcurrant juice. So happy about this. - Chatters. Has hair salon products that you can't buy at the drug store. They also have an actual hair salon if you need a haircut. - Share. This is a really cool open concept store that features different locally made products (from soaps to scarves to art) from local designers. What's really interesting about this store is the artists/craftspeople they feature change. So if you see something you love here be sure to pick it up, because it might not be there on your next visit. Inside this area is another coffee shop, a bubble waffle place, and a juice/healthy eating takeaway. - B Sweet is a candy shop. They got some standard candies, a nice selection of jelly beans, but what I love is that they have some foreign (UK/Irish) chocolate bars like Galaxy, Picnic, and Toffee Crisp. The foreign items are super expensive, but if I'm having a craving for a Toffee Crisp I know where to go. I just wish they sold Boost Bars (it's like a Wunderbar, but with a chocolate fudge instead of peanut butter and it's amazing). - The Body Shop. Always like shopping at the Body Shop (they got a good variety of delicious smelling lotions, soaps, etc). They're a company that doesn't test on animals so I always like to support them when I can. Of course there's lots of mores and a few more restaurants (fast food type) here. There are lots of shoe stores, but I try not to go into those because I would spend way too much money. I think the downside is there are a few stores not open (like Marshall's, Kate Spade, and some others). I believe they'll be open by the fall. I also don't know if they outlet deals at the stores are so great that you'd want to come into here from Edmonton. They're certainly not the insane outlet deals that you can find in the US. However I still think it's worth it to come out here and check out this new mall, especially for the few new unique stores it has.
