The best part of the Little Exchange is that all the employees are volunteers and all the profits proceed the Children's Medical Fund. And the store offers free gift wrapping for non-sale items! Overall, its kind of pricey, but every penny of profit goes to a good cause! Definitely worth coming by to check out if you're looking for a gift for someone and you want it to be meaningful in a couple of different ways.

I just love this house to begin with but when it's Christmas time, it is so special. My favorite part is the fireplace in the dining room. They always have a great selection of items for sale. This time, I was able to snag a couple of items for Thanksgiving, an ornament for a gift and a Dayton magnet for my fridge. The women here are amazing. They are so friendly and helpful and just fun to hang out with! Add on to all this that its for the Dayton Children's Hospital--how can you go wrong?

Yesterday, they had buy one get one free on this ankle socks which is such a great deal. I ended up getting 24 pairs of socks for $20. While in here I like shopping around. The dresses are usually not my style but they have really cute sandals and leggings. The dressing rooms were clean and everything was very organized. This is a large store, so you can end up spending a lot of time shopping around. They had three cash registers open and I only had to wait a minute or two in line before I was able to check out.

There are a decent amount of good stores (American Eagle, Soma, Victoria Secret, Sephora, Kendra Scott, Bath & Body Works, Books & Co.) and some okay restaurants (Panera, Chipotle, Cheesecake Factory, The Pub, Coronado Taco), but there is a lot of empty restaurants as well as random stores. The two main nicest restaurants are now gone so you are only left with one higher end steak house. They definitely need to figure out how to revitalize the area. Parking is ample.

I went in to buy a new belt and both employees were rude as hell and disinterested in my situation with an utter lack of empathy. I still managed to find a belt and buy it on the spot. Two weeks later while in the same restroom at The True North convenience store, the new belt I had just bought broke right in half at the Buckle. Again I went to the fashion warehouse and they again were inhospitable and wouldn't help me it at all in exchanging the belt. So now I'm stuck holding my pants up as I walk around because I made the mistake of buying a cheap faulty product at a cheap store with inferior products that don't care when they break. I'll never shop there again.

I came specifically to look for a couple cocktail dresses for an upcoming anniversary trip to Vegas. I was surprised they didn't have a bigger selection of skimpy, fun dresses. Lol. But I managed to find two. Both were your basic fitted mini dress. One was even on clearance for only $12. I was also keeping my eyes open for an evening gown for a formal dinner we have next month. But I only saw one that was remotely interesting and it was over the top with a price tag to go along with it (almost $300). They also had a decent collection of lounge wear. But I had more success with active wear. I found a super cool wind breaker for $20. Not bad. At the register I signed up for Nordstrom rewards. I guess I earn points now when I give them my phone number. So that's cool. I'm sure I'll return!

I have well over 50 pairs of leggings from them and to be treated this way was sad. My daughter who is 7 was doing the "dance" and I asked if we could use their bathroom since she couldn't hold it. They said no. They said I had to take her out the store and around the block. I understand rules. I truly do. I understand accommodating customers too. If it was because I was lazy I totally understand. My daughter was ready to have an accident. I told the manager I was really disappointed in the way it was handled. The manager was not friendly and basically defensive and the girl I had the issue with walked away. Had I been confrontational I would've absolutely understood. I wasn't. I think I'll stick to online or Lululemon across the street. They were so much friendlier.
