You probably shouldn't come to this store-- because if you do, you'll be hooked for life. My aunt…read morebought me a little lotion pot for Christmas one year, and now this store is a must-stop on my way back from visiting family. Living Simply Soap makes their own soaps, lotions, deodorants, room sprays, candles, and wax melts. They have the whole gamut of soap, including liquid soaps for hands/body, bar soaps, and scrubby soap for those of us who get extra dirty. They have their own proprietary blends of scents, most made with various natural oils. Their soaps are olive oil based and don't have any weird crazy chemical stuff in them. I know what every ingredient in their products is, which is important to me. Not only do they have fair prices for their products, but they make GREAT gifts! This is a small business that you can really feel good about supporting. You can also purchase their products online, and I have seen them at the Dayton Farmer's Market in the summer.

I hadn't been in this store since before Covid until today, and it remains as nice as ever. Covid-wise: There's a big thing of sanitizer when you walk in, employees are wearing masks, there are social distancing tape marks at the check out, and the back to back check outs are divided by a plastic curtain. Several customers weren't wearing masks properly but nobody seemed to care. I witnessed some questionable customer service today. I know employees are sometimes there learning job skills, so I try to keep that in mind.

I've shopped this store for 18 years. Yesterday I was in with my daughter and granddaughter…read more There was a worker there that I'd seen before. She was older and wore here gray hair in a knot on top of her head. She had brought out a cart of goods to be shelved. I was clearly looking at it and twice she aggressively yanked it away from me. I thought it was rude, but didn't say anything. Later, she was cleaning out dressing rooms and was audibly cussing. She opened a door and said? " Son of a bitch" quite loudly. My daughter and granddaughter were standing right there. My daughter looked at her and said, "Excuse me? You are cussing loudly and my daughter is right here!" The conversation escalated after that. The "knot top" worker would not stop arguing and told my daughter several times to "get a life"! My daughter walked to the front counter and asked for a manager. Then this "manager" (who was not the head store manager) told her to "calm down" and sided with "top knot"! I couldn't believe what I heard! I've encountered this woman several times in that store and have heard her using profanity many times. I've watched her throwing items on the shelf. This has NO place in a retail or public setting. And for a manager to support said worker and argue with a customer is just plain wrong. I've donated and purchased thousands of dollars worth of merchandise over the years at this store. How dare they treat people like this? How dare they have an employee who cusses loud enough for customers and children to hear them? Any normal person would know how unacceptable this is!!

Dressing rooms are many and large and there is always someone offering to help. After I get a few items in my hands, someone always offers to come over and start a fitting room for me. Employees check on you and ask if they can get you anything and don't hesitate to get you a different size if you need it. Don't pass up the free bra fitting. It may be a bit awkward, but its over the clothes and always help you find the right size for you. My best friend looked at 10 stores for the perfect strapless bra for her wedding and had no luck until I suggested Lane Bryant for a bra fitting. Within 10 minutes she got a fitting, an employee found the perfect bra and she was happy. Also, if you like something but its not in your size or color (I tried on the green shirt, but really like the pink one), they will order it for you and send it to your door for free!! Also, free shipping to the store when you order online and a $25 coupon when you pick up!! Oh, and location, location, location!! I go shopping, and hubby goes to Pies and Pints right next door.
