I put off this review because I felt torn. Some aspects were great, others not…read more What was great is that the gowns are grouped by size so you know if it's available in your size immediately. They give you 3 hanging tags to put on the gowns you like. They then get them for you. If you still have time in your one hour appointment you can select more. I thought they had the process streamlined well. What I did not care for was the trying on area has a row of three( or was it 4?) so you are potentially modelling your dress with other shoppers right next to you. I was waiting in a chair for my people to finish selecting more dresses. While there an employee walked in front of me very close a couple times as if I was invisible. She then started complaining about the dressing room her client was going to have and seemed like she was going to bully the other employees about it. Not long after, she was suddenly all smiles and compliments. Not a good vibe.

I will also be posting this to every site I can just in case they delete this.First of all the stylist did a size 2 sizes too big!! When I got it back they had me put it on and I didn't even need to unzip it to put it on. The top was way way too big to where I was flashing and you could see my breast. The employee who helped me had to hold it together and gather a bunch of extra material so I could see it. I mentioned to her that it's too big alterations is going to basically redo this dress. I was very unhappy with how it looked and how it looked on me. They had me schedule an alteration appt and I really didn't want to go through with them bc I knew they were expensive but I thought the alterations employees could fix this dress. Well they didn't. I had issues with them from the start and once she pinned it I told her it still felt too big I had to continuously hold it together my chest. The waist just felt bulky and you could tell how big it was. Once I came back to do my finally fitting the top felt as though she did nothing to it and the waist look awful bc it was so big. I told her there it was still too big you could see my bra that I was wearing with the dress. She fixed it while I was there but it did nothing!! At this point I was so dissatisfied with my whole experience I was done with her. I had already spend the same amount of money that was spent on the dress. That is ridiculous!!! Especially when you have a bride who is so unhappy. If I could do this over I would never go to them for anything! There is a reason there are class action lawsuits on them. All my pictures from that day you can see how horrible of a job this person did. In pictures you can see what I was wearing underneath the dress my bra would show and I was constantly hold the top to me the entire night of my wedding. If they would have just ordered the correct size and I would not go to them for alterations bc they charge over $500 and there are tons of amazing places you can go to who don't charge almost the same amount as your dress I also would rethink going to them at all.

I was out of the country on vacation and tried to return an item just a few days after the 30-day window, but they wouldn't even offer store credit. While I love their clothes, I'll likely shop elsewhere for items I'm unsure about purchasing, as many retailers offer store credit for returns beyond 30 days. Just something to keep in mind before you buy.

I definitely have had to wait in lines before, but it's not usually longer than 5 minutes, and unless someone has called in, there's usually two or three employees at the store at any given time. Employees have always been pleasant, and while I've had an issue with Torrid's online not e-mailing me when I had an order to pick up, that's honestly that only online order issue I've had in the 20+ orders I've had delivered here. This particular location is decently large. They have a full-sized bra selection, and during swimsuit season, full swimsuit section. They have multiple fitting rooms. Each one of the fitting rooms is outfitted with an optional, strong fan you can turn on/off. That's a god-send in the summers! Especially before big clearance sales, the staff seems to go through and organize all of the clearance items by size AND by color/function. For example, all the size 1 will be together. Then all the lingerie comes first, then the swimsuits, then the shirts, then the boleros/jackets, etc. Then in each category, all the items will be color-matched. It's really a fantastic way to shop, and I've never seen any other Torrid (or any other store!) do this before. This Torrid is located in The Greene, though. While not a problem, it will make "quick stop" shopping a bit harder as the Torrid is located almost directly in-between the two nearby parking lots. It's not a terrible walk, though. Expect about a block's worth of walking. I'd recommend parking in the parking lot nearest the Winan's and Old Navy over the other lots.

I was there with my daughter today, she has wide feet and finding shoes for homecoming last year was so difficult, we couldn't find them anywhere--not even DSW. We decided to look anyway before trying to order something online. I am pleased to say they had really cute prom shoes in wide width! Not only that, they had a few options, and they didn't charge extra for them. They always have a few really cute options in clearance for my size, which is nice since I wear a super basic 8.5M and those are usually sold out. The cashier was pleasant, and was able to relate to my daughter's vision for her prom outfit, which was cool.
