On the day of the event, the venue ended up having a concert that ran late and instead of the 11pm entry time he briefly mentioned, they changed it to 12am. My group did not know that after arriving at 11pm. We waited 30 minutes and then ended up going to a different club instead. I've had much better bottle service experience elsewhere. Waste of time and would definitely not recommend.

Although the booth space Hudson Terrace gives you is small, Jeff put us at the end so my friends had room to stand around on the side. We had the pleasure of working with both Emily and Kritzie in our planning sessions. Kritzie, Genesis, and Robert took care of us on the big day. The Unruffled team could not have been more thoughtful, patient, accommodating, and attentive. From the welcome questionnaire to the planning meetings to the site visits to the rehearsal to the wedding day itself, they were not only organized and helpful, but a very calming presence. Kritzie did a great job working with our other vendors, including our reception venue, where we were the first wedding they ever held. On the wedding day, Kritzie and Genesis kept everything moving smoothly without being intrusive at all. We were able to really enjoy our wedding because we knew they had everything well in hand. Robert took amazing video of our private Tea Ceremony (before the professional videographer arrived), and was on top of troubleshooting any minor hiccups throughout the day (clutch job quickly fixing the cocktail hour speaker!). Our families, the church, the reception venue, and our vendors also uniformly (and completely unprompted!) told us that Kritzie and the whole team were the best wedding coordinators that they had ever worked with - high praise indeed! From the moment I spoke with her, I could tell that she was someone I could trust to make sure that our day was amazing. I am a perfectionist to a fault, and I had very specific ideas and needs for the wedding. I was worried that I wouldn't find someone who could do as good a job as I could with organization, delegation, and accuracy. But she remembered every single detail. She also handled some larger issues - such as helping me with the shuttles. We needed shuttles for 130 people to leave the venue at essentially the same time - and I could not find a 3rd shuttle. She was able to book me an additional coach bus within 4 days of the wedding - that honestly saved the day. I also asked her to come to the florist with us so she could see our 'vision', since it was a bit more than just putting flowers on tables. When I arrived at the venue, I saw that she took our vision and made it even better! She added touches of gold and lights and greenery in places I didn't think to decorate, and it looked amazing. She was with me the entire night, keeping the sleeves of my dress from falling, helping me with eyedrops when I couldn't see, and constantly checking in with our band, maître d', and photographers to make sure everything was running smoothly. She got us through the mid-reception family photos (which I thought would be a disaster time-wise) so quickly, and was truly managing the time for the entire night. All of the vendors raved about her, and said her communication and precision was impeccable - and that she had great improvisation skills for whenever things did go a bit astray. I didn't have to worry about anything the entire evening, and that was the best feeling ever. Veronica is great at what she does - which is making sure your day is amazing. She is professional, great at communication, and she makes you feel safe. You can trust her completely, and know that your day will be in the best hands possible.

My Experience with Happy Planning Events: A Cautionary Review…read more I am writing this to share my honest experience with Tanya from Happy Planning Events, in hopes of helping others avoid the stress and disappointment I went through. My wedding venue was ultimately canceled due to poor communication on Tanya's part and her failure to clearly explain basic contractual terms. As a professional planner, she should have guided me through the process with clarity and transparency--but instead, I was left confused and misinformed. What was promised to be a "stress-free" planning experience turned into the opposite--Tanya created more mess and work for me than she solved. She lacked basic organization and attention to detail, especially on the day of the wedding. Rather than focusing on ensuring my day went smoothly, she appeared more interested in networking with my vendors for her future business than in making sure my event was successful. She failed to keep track of our pre-planned schedule, which led to major moments being missed--including my father-daughter dance and bouquet toss. Throughout the night, she seemed more concerned about eating and staying in the air-conditioned venue than checking in with me or my husband or making sure the timeline was on track. From the beginning, Tanya made promises she didn't deliver on. I hired her as a day-of coordinator six months before the wedding. While I only paid for day-of services, she insisted on helping earlier in the process--which I initially appreciated, since this was my first wedding. However, within just two months of giving her contact information to my venue, she had already caused enough frustration with the property manager that I had to step in myself. By that point, the damage was done--he canceled our contract two months before the wedding. Thankfully, I was able to find another venue, but even then, Tanya again managed to upset the new property manager. Multiple vendors and both venue managers told me the same thing: "Your planner is very unprofessional and doesn't understand the basics of wedding planning." Despite their warnings, I held onto hope that she would follow through on the day of. Sadly, she didn't. When it came to execution, there was no flow. As the officiant, she failed to ask the DJ for a microphone (which was readily available), resulting in guests not being able to hear the ceremony. She also forgot to ask guests to stand when I walked down the aisle--something we specifically discussed in advance. A guest had to step in and call it out. Tanya is what I would call a "yes" planner--quick to agree, but slow (or unable) to follow through. I constantly had to remind her of things and even suggest solutions myself. Her behavior lacked professionalism at every turn, and she did not have the knowledge or presence of a competent wedding coordinator. What's more, Tanya was seen vaping in front of my guests--completely unprofessional and inappropriate. When she finally did get on the microphone, instead of sharing important timeline information, she spent her time talking about moving cars--something that could've easily been handled off-mic and by someone else. In the end, my experience with Happy Planning Events was full of broken promises and unnecessary stress. Tanya appeared more focused on building vendor relationships than prioritizing her client's experience or staying within budget. I strongly urge anyone looking for a true professional to look elsewhere. Don't be fooled by the branding--this service has a long way to go before it lives up to the name.

When you have a Monte Carlo Casino themed 40th birthday party, then your father's 70th birthday…read morecelebration, then your surprise wedding, then perform in a 15 number flash mob, then a surprise Broadway performance, and then finally followed by a drag performance... you have very little room for error. I hired Vic from Royal Entertainment initially only for their casino tables. I almost hired a different casino table company. Once I saw pictures of these LED lit casino tables, I knew I needed them for my party. If you see from the photos, the LED lights adds an layer of pizzazz that you don't get from regular tables. Everyone was wowed by these tables and it was definitely one of the highlights of the night. Then I hired Vic and Mickey for the lighting for my event. If you have a limited budget, splurge on the lighting. It is highly transformative. He and his team went above and beyond what they were hired for. They were able to create the exact lighting and ambiance for my casino party. Then they were able to quickly break every casino table down in literally 10-15 minutes for my surprise wedding. All decorations and lighting also needed to be changed during the casino table break down. Not a glitch took place. He also made recommendations such as a fog machine for our first "dance on the cloud", which I highly recommend. This was the same fog machine which I ended up using to create my river for wedding entrance (#crazyrichasians). Want an extra crazy touch, also rent the cold fountain sparklers. It does not hurt when touched nor cause anything to burn, so can be used indoors. This made amazing photos during the wedding and various performances. Vic also works with you with on pricing and is very fair. He even came out to check out the venue prior to the event to make sure we got everything we needed. Highly recommend. Had absolutely no regrets!

Her crew was so nice, I never saw them until the very end, they were like secret ninjas. And best of all, she held our cake topper for a year (yes this review is a bit old)....A YEAR, didn't hound us to come get it, it just sat in their very nice and large freezer. After an exhausting day of being interviewed about my wedding and receiving totally extravagant and ridiculous quotes, I met Michelle. Walking into her townhouse/office was so calming and I immediately felt better. She had comfy couches and an array of snacks and drinks out on the table (which seems like a small thing but after meetings with planners who just sat me down at a desk in their office and were on their laptop the whole time, it was nice to feel like someone prepared for me). There was a slideshow of ideas going on the big screen on the wall that had been prepared just for our wedding based on what I told her when we talked on the phone the day before. We chatted for about an hour. She was incredibly friendly and warm and I felt like she would be on top of the details without being pushy. As compared to some other planners who charge a percentage of what you are spending on your wedding AND limit you as to the amount of e-mails etc, you can send them, Michelle was a breath of fresh air. Her package was basically all-inclusive and was a flat rate, not based on how much we were spending. I signed up the next day. During the planning process, Michelle and her team were amazing. Not annoying, not pushy, very laid back and took care of a lot of details behind the scenes without me having to deal with them. I could not have asked for a more fun planning process and I was able to enjoy every minute without being bogged down by details. Michelle screened every vendor and presented us with the top choices in every category that fit into our budget and style. She made all the appointments and dealt with all the contracts and negotiations. She was so good a picking vendors that I booked the first vendor in every category without needing to see more. On the day of our wedding, Michelle was truly a gift. I knew (from talking to people afterwards) that there were things Michelle dealt with and catastrophies she was able to avoid without me knowing anything. I partied, ate, and enjoyed my day without having to deal with ANYTHING. She basically ran the entire day. My fiance and I agree she was worth every penny and so much more. She seemed to be everywhere at once - managing the flow of the day, dealing with guest questions, wrangling vendors and setting up photo shots. One second she's cueing the 2nd course and the next minute she's on the floor buckling someone's shoe before a picture - no joke. One of my bridesmaids complained off-handidly about her feet hurting and Michelle produced a pair of silver flats she had a bunch of just in case.
