I drove to Virginia from Maryland to visit my husband during a recent training session. We were going to skyline drive & checking the area out. I love antiques and old pharmacy bottles for my collection and antique medical equipment. Therefore I always keep my eye out for antique stores or other sales and I spotted this car show & truth be told I'm a big truck or old American made muscle car gal. I hit the jackpot! My husband is also an American made old car man. We had a blast walking around & looking at the old cars and trucks. Oh, how I would have loved to take a drive in one of those cars:-). The car show gets a 5/5 in my book Now the market inside & the ice cream. All I can say is if it's hot and going to get ice cream get in line and take turns waiting. We had a long wait, but the ice cream was delicious!! Prices in the market were high for my budget but they had those hard to find fruit and veggies we all need for family recipes. Tori, Theresa, and Jaime were incredibly warm and welcoming, the kind of people who make you smile without trying. I will absolutely be back on my next visit. It was my Mom's 75th birthday yesterday, and I spontaneously thought I would send flowers on top of some other stuff I was doing. I thought, hey, if I order the flowers directly through a florist that has solid ratings in Yelp I should be good to go. I came in here, found a few florists within a few miles radius of her home and landed with Village Flowers. Not gonna lie, the fact they have a shop dog sucked me in. Who doesn't love a dog that does flower arrangements? I had read the reviews here which were limited but went out on Google as well. I ordered a deluxe version of a beautiful pink/white arrangement same day and within just a couple of hours they had delivered a GORGEOUS arrangement of FRESH flowers. For the first time in years, I feel like I got what I paid for and will have Village Flowers on speed dial (so to speak) for my future Fauquier County flower needs.

My favorite part about the experience, though, had to be the Polish pottery displayed all about the room. The owner shared the fascinating history about how these beautiful pieces are made. I won't tell you myself, but I highly recommend you ask next time you stop in. Sounded like a good plan to me. When I went to pick up my ring, the sizing was perfect (and at a reasonable cost), and the ring looked terrific. However, the manner the channels were reinforced changed the essential look and shape and feel of the ring. What once was a smooth cusp across the surface had become this stair-stepped ribbon of ridges. It no longer looked like my ring, nor did it match my wife's ring. I expressed my disappointment, noting that I had not been informed of the intended change. The jeweler, Jim, was on-site and attempted to smooth the ridges a bit. The problem was lessened, but not resolved. So we talked more about my expectations and how it might be accomplished. Jim agreed to give it another go. When I returned later in the day, Jim had corrected the problem, built up the channels, and returned the ring to its original aesthetic. I am very happy with the results. What's more, in dealing with the problem, the staff at Warrenton Jewelers were professional, polite, and eager to make things right. All in all, a good experience, and I'd recommend their services to others. One last comment: I did a little browsing while they looked over my ring. This place is far more than a jewelers. I saw a station for tux rentals, several items of clothing, some eclectic art, small gifts, etc. Pretty cool shop!
