I'm disappointed that what should have been a simple car analysis turned into a frustrating experience. Over the phone, I clearly explained what I was seeking, and upon arrival, I also mentioned an additional issue, which the mechanic said he'd check. When I returned to pick up my car, the price was within my budget and I was ready to proceed, until I asked about the second issue. That's when the tone of the conversation completely changed. I believe this shop could benefit from having a designated receptionist. Expecting mechanics to also handle front-desk communication is too much, and not everyone who is skilled at fixing cars is equally good at handling customers. When I asked about the additional issue, the mechanic told me he wouldn't look into it further unless I confirmed I'd be getting the additional services, because he didn't want to "waste his time." I found that surprising since I had already agreed to pay $135 for the initial analysis, which was supposed to be waived if I proceeded with the repairs. The conversation escalated even though I remained calm, and ultimately, he said he'd "rather put on the hose and you take the car." After a two-hour wait, I left disappointed that my concerns were dismissed and the follow-up I expected never happened. Unfortunately, I won't be returning. My truck sat here for 7 months waiting for a engine swap . The reman engine sat there for about 2 months before they decided to swap it . Got the truck back and engine kept overheating . They wouldn't get me back in to look at it for weeks , even after missing a funeral , and it sitting there for several months. Left a google review which they had removed , and the owner kept siding stepping and downplaying their mistake . They also keep peoples core charge . My problem started on the day I brought my truck to Cartech Automotive. I brought my truck in due to engine failure , and attempted to give as much detail to jerod about what was going on with my truck to assist with a diagnosis; but what ever was on his phone seemed more important . After leaving the shop , it sat there for two weeks before I was given the dreadful news that I needed a new engine . I brought $5100 to have a engine ordered and was told it would be about 8 weeks . No big deal . 8 weeks rolls around , nothing . So I sent a follow up at the 12 week mark . I was told it's still on back order . I again sent a follow up a month and a half later and was informed that one vehicle is ahead of mine (this was on 05/23/22).and will receive notification when it's ready for pick up . I receive a text on 06/28/22 to come pick my truck up . I didn't even have the truck back a full 3 days and my engine is overheating . This problem was discovered on the way to my brothers funeral . A funeral I missed because I was stranded an hour from my home . I immediately sent message explaining my circumstances and this is the response "Hello this is Jordan at Cartech Automotive I just received your message about vehicle overheating. As you already know we are extremely busy of course I would like to take a look at that for you but don't have an available appointment till July 14 Thursday or July 15 Friday if you could please reach back to me so I can schedule it in" I waited 5 months , gave them almost 8 grand , and missed my brothers funeral , and that is the best they can do . The best shop I have ever been to! I have recently moved to Monroe and have had several car issues since moving and was looking for a local repair shop. I read the bad reviews but decided to try them out anyways. I am so confused about the negative reviews... They are so nice here and offer excellent service. I have literally nothing bad to say. I have taken my car to them 3 times now I believe. I don't know much about cars and it is pretty obvious, so I am always hesitant when looking for a shop because I am scared they will tell me I need all of these unnecessary things done just to charge more. That was not the case at all here. I had an issue with a belt the first time. They popped the hood and showed me exactly what was wrong and explained everything. The price was very reasonable and they called my dad for me as well to explain everything to him. The next time, it was for my check engine light. It had come on and I took my car in. They ran tests and found that it was just an error so they reset it and charged me nothing since there wasn't a real issue. I still think that they should've charged for the tests and for resetting it though but they didn't. On top of that, they could've easily said there was some other issue and that they had to fix it and could've charged a fortune. They are definitely very honest. I haven't been to any shop this honest and with such good customer service! My car was recently broken into in Atlanta. I took it to Safelight to get the glass replaced, but the shattered glass broke the regulator and they said they couldn't fix it. I took it to Cartech and they ordered the parts and fixed it for me very quickly! They always are busy but find time to squeeze me in. I will definitely only be bringing my car here from now on! read more

My van motor was moved forward and that had to be done. But the had to move a large fuse box. Well when I got there and lucky I raised the hood my fuse box was not even installed back right and even had parts not put together. A few days later I broke down in a van that had been driven to Fla and daily by me. I called and they atrouble shoot cranking problem that the could not seem to take the time to troubleshoot and fix. Well he sold his van also as a non working vehicle. Enough said. read more

Absolutely horrendous customer service. The owner couldn't set his phone down long enough to look at me while I was there asking for a quote on a brakes/rotor job. The whole office reeked of pot just over all disappointing. I decided to take my business over to a different mechanic shop in loganville and was actually helped.
