This was my first time at Hometown Tire and they were fantastic! I had a nail in my tire that needed changing and they were great about being upfront about timing, cost, and process. I went in and was greeted warmly, Brad was extremely welcoming and clearly takes great care of all his customers. I was only there for about 25 minutes while they replaced my tire. I've been taking my vehicles to Brad and his family for a decade, and I've recommended others in the community to do the same. The first vehicle I took to them was a 2006 Jeep I had purchased from the nearby dealership. Even though the dealership sold me the Jeep, the dealership couldn't balance the large tires on the vehicle, so I went to Brad. He quickly diagnosed the problem, recommended solutions, and I never returned to the dealership. Hometown has installed clutches, replaced catalytic converters, repaired and replaced tires, and I have never had a negative experience. Like many in the community, I prefer to spend my money locally, and I would much rather Hometown get my money than WalMart. read more

A couple of months back, maybe six months or so I bought a used 2012 suburban. About two months into having my car it started having some mechanical issues and I took it back to the dealer and they referred me to a local mechanic shop (Hometown Tire). Turns out my warranty company that I bought with the car wasn't so great and didn't pay for a lot of the repair. Fast forward to a few weeks ago about (6 months) my car started making the very same sound as before and went through the process of breaking down much quicker to the point where my engine completely stopped and would no longer work. When we took it to a dealership they said that we need a new engine and the warranty company wouldn't pay for it because they had already sent the supposed parts to be fixed the first time around. (Which was not true) I decided to call Hometown tire and speak with the owner, Brad and let him know my situation and get some clarity on what exactly it was they did to fix my car. From the moment I spoke with him I think he could tell that I was drained and upset about my vehicle and before the conversation was over he made me understand clearly that he was on my side and he wanted to do as much as he could to help me get out of the situation that I was in. not only did he hear my story he is working with the dealer who sold me the vehicle and they decided to step up and the dealer bought me an engine for my vehicle, had it shipped out here. So then Brad (hometown tire)also stepped up and is and they're replacing the engine for me free of charge. FOLKS HE IS LITERALLY TAKING MY ENGINE OUT AND PUTTING ANOTHER ONE IN FREE OF CHARGE!!!!! Brad reminded me that he's about helping people and that it was the christian thing to do. I was speechless. Never in my life have I experienced such a thing. So if you live in Walton County or your just passing through and you need your car looked at, you can trust Hometown Tire to take care of you and your vehicle. I took my 2003 Lincoln Navigator in to Hometown Tire & Automotive dreading what it was going to cost to repair. Brad found a fuse blown and charged me $20 for the diagnostic time and replacement. He also gave me a list of other things they checked since they had the hood up, at no charge. He could have easily soaked me for an expensive, but unneeded air conditioning system repair. It is refreshing to have an honest mechanic. read more
