They would not work with us on it and even hesitated to accept my partner's check card for some odd reason. Just because we are weird looking doesn't mean we are trying to get one over on anyone. We are honest people and expect to be treated as such, especially when spending 1600.00. I get that checks are going the way of the dinosaurs, and respect that any company can set their own policies and how they are enforced. Mat was paid $1,500 up front--not for work, but because he said he needed the money to buy Christmas presents for his family. The remaining $1,000 was to be paid once the job was completed. The work was never started. Not even touched. For the next 8 months, Mat fed us excuse after excuse, lie after lie. No updates, no photos, no proof. He claimed work was being done while doing nothing at all. In July 2025, we found the truck dumped in the street. Illegally parked. The motor we provided was still sitting in the bed--no work had been done at all. Mat had packed up, shut the business down and moved to Florida in the middle of the night without a word. He didn't just abandon the job--he abandoned the entire business. And what was left behind? * Expensive parts thrown away * Components on the motor broken * Gear column damaged * Zero actual work done This wasn't bad service. This was calculated theft.
