OK, so I got a bit of a bumper scrape on my car, looks like someone backed out a little close, and scraped the paint. Just a little too deep to "buff" out. When I took it to Renu, the fellow I talked to gave me an honest quote, and his honest opinion. Being that we could fix it, but the bumper is plastic, so it wont rust, and given that my car has hail damage, fixing the paint on the bumper won't add much value, so it's just a matter of what I can live with cosmetically... Honest, and fair advice! Incidentally, I got a scratch repair kit and wax, and it is 70% better, so I suppose I won't bother fixing it, but I am super glad for their honest advice! It would have been easy enough to just take my money, but they chose to be good business citizens, and for that I am grateful! FYI, I did get a repair quote that was 10%, and 25% lower than the other two quotes I got, and the service was much friendlier, so I know where I'm headed if I decide to fix this anyway- or if any other scrapes pop up.

I was visiting Calgary and I accidentally backed into a garage and really dented the bumper of my car (Nissan Altima Coupe). It was a pretty sizable dent on the bumper corner and there was no ignoring it. I really didn't want to come home with that on my car not to mention the fact that I'd have to face my family and explain what I did to my car. I drove to a few places to see how much it would cost and if they could do it before I was heading out to drive back home on a roadtrip. I ended up finding MP Auto Body and they were the only shop that said they could do it same-day. The estimate said they could fix the dent for $180 but the paint might crack because the dent was so deep and I might have to pay around $300 to fix the paint if it did. I decided to go ahead with it since it was the cheapest quote. So I dropped my car off at 9 AM the next day and they shuttled me to Sunridge Mall, super convenient. By 12:30 PM, I got a call saying that my car was ready. When I saw my bill, they only charged me $150! They were way under quote and Sean the manager explained that the dent did not take as long to fix as estimated and they did not have to paint it. I could not believe how honest they were being! Great quality fix for a low price - could not even tell there was a dent there! I wish there was a place like this on the East Coast in case I ever run into a mishap again. Two thumbs up!

I would never recommend Dented to anyone after the experience I had…read more Following a severe hailstorm, my headlight completely failed. The housing filled with condensation and the entire headlight system stopped working low beam, high beam, turn signal, parking light, DRL all gone. I made it clear from the start that there was no visible crack, just internal failure, which Dented's own tech confirmed can happen from hail. That should have been enough. Instead, I was told the repair would be approved. Based on that, I canceled my dealership appointment at Mercedes Lonestar and waited. A full week went by with no communication. Then suddenly, I was told by Toniko, a decision-maker not even based in Calgary, that my headlight repair was denied because "there was no visible damage" and "it didn't seem likely hail caused it." Let me be clear that wasn't just a poor decision, it was a judgment call that questioned my honesty. I had been transparent about the details from day one. For Dented to suggest the damage wasn't consistent with hail despite every symptom lining up, and despite TD Insurance being fully prepared to cover it felt like a slap in the face. Worse still, Dented refused to even submit an estimate for the headlight to TD. That's the only reason the claim was shut down. Logan at Dented confirmed the part needed replacing and just needed photos, but apparently even that wasn't enough to move things forward within their own team. As a result, I wasted two weeks, canceled and rebooked service appointments, and I'm now paying out of pocket to fix something that was absolutely related to hail damage. The communication breakdown, the delays, the refusal to act, and the unspoken accusation that I misrepresented what happened it was completely unacceptable. If you value your time, your money, and your integrity do not use Dented.

Within 24 hours of getting my (new to me) black Porsche Cayenne home the North West was hit with a…read morebrutal hail storm. Within 5 minutes I was the proud owner of what looked like a shiny black golfball on wheels. Over $10K in damage. I went to Superior on the recommendation of a friend. I learned that they have been around forever and had recently installed new high end paint booths. I have only had poor experiences with body shops in Calgary, so I gave them a try. After 3 weeks in the shop and combination of paint-less and conventional bodywork the truck looks better than when I bought it. The paint is a flawless and looks like it has been colour sanded. Looks more like a show car now, the paint is like glass! They detailed the truck thoroughly inside and out. It was nice to have the truck back in a better and cleaner state than when I bought it. Then suddenly the estimate could be completed in days if we left it instead of towing it elsewhere. We found another shop who could complete the estimate the next day and chose to tow the car. Do not go here, the parking is terrible, service is excessively delayed and no communication or answers unless you have a male present. The only positive is that the receptionist is nice.
