My truck was one month old and I side swiped a concrete block coming out of event parking here in…read moreCalgary. I took it to these guys (recommended by someone) and they got me in and got me fixed up. Only 1 week after they did the work one of the pieces they installed (cap on my running board) came off. I called and they told me they could order another one for me and install it but not on warranty, I would have to pay. I was upset and did not go back. Now it is 4 1/2 years later and my truck is rusting, no-where on my truck except for the spot they fixed. I took it to a different auto body shop and they told me straight up it was not fixed properly and that is was a shitty job. All they did was bondo and sand and paint, they did not fix the damage and that is why it is rusting now. They said as much as they would like to take my money I should take it back to them to be re-done. I sent them picture of what is going on and their reply was "not our fault, we can fix it again, but for a price"..... I will never go there again and I let the person that recommended them to me know not to recommend them again to anyone else. Stand behind your work or don't do the work!

The charge for putting in the tail light was $900.00 Except when i picked up the car I noticed that the taillight was protruding at every contact point no where was there a smoothe seal. The shop acknowledged this and said they would fix it. I returned it was not fixed. The chief technician informed me that these items never fit smoothly once they have been damaged. He attempted to make the taillight fit by lifting the tail gate and trying to bend my Audi into shape. When that didn't work he banged on it with a rubber mallet and promptly broke the taillight. They stopped trying to help at this point and said they would order a new tail light for me which they did. Once it arrived I took it to a repair shop that doesn't break things on the customer. After i got my car properly fixed and sent MPS my receipt and asked them to reimbursee me the $233.00 I had to pay on top of the $900 I paid them to get the job done properly. I received from them not a cheque, but a letter that was incomprehensible. Surprise! I will never ever go to this place again. Do not go to this place unless you are interested in a world of grief. They are incompetent and rude.

Lenny was a pleasure to speak to on the phone and in person when I first arrived. She was able to answer all my questions and fit me in to the schedule right away. My vehicle fell victim to golf ball sized hail which left it with 30 or so dents. Their garage and showroom is clean, organized and comfortable. Paolo was my rep and was super friendly and answered all my questions about the process. I like to have some knowledge about the process before making a decision on car repairs (I treat my vehicles with the utmost care). Confident PDR was able to repair all the hail damage and even went the extra mile to catch dents that the insurance appraiser missed. I got my car back and couldn't even tell it had any dents whatsoever. My car came back clean and looking better than ever. I can recommend no one else when it comes to paintless dent repair work in Calgary.

Even though YOU don't physically hurt, you still feel the pain vicariously. Such was the case when I stepped out of the Toad N' Turtle after a night of wings and beer to see my battered Acura. I went through the various stages of "car damage grief" - first, I denied the damage was as bad as I thought. Then, I got angry - furious with a righteous fervour against all of nature, the only enemy I couldn't sucker punch. I soon reached depression - this was going to cost me. I would need to pick up a lot more freelance writing projects about hotels and monkey sex and whatnot to pay it off. Why oh why do I insist on driving anything other than a beater? Because of heated seats and the ability to pass anybody any time I feel like it and the fact that it makes me feel like an over accomplished 20-something even though I'm not. That's why. Sigh. So I begrudgingly called my insurance company. As fate would have it, thousands of cars became dimpled messes during that downpour, so I would have to wait almost 8 months to get in anywhere. When the phone call finally did come from Confident PDR (the PDR stands for paintless dent removal), I could barely hear the girl on the other end. Now, I was in a touring band for awhile which left me with a terrible case of "ring-all-the-time" ears, but I'm certainly not deaf. After cranking up my phone and barking like a senior, I had an appointment set up for the next day (hooray! Speediness at last!) for an assessment. I arrived at the shop bright and early, eager to pick up my rental (I was SURE they were going to lend me an Audi R8) from Enterprise and get to work. Now, not that you should really care about the aesthetics of the car shop fixing your dents, but I just wanted to say that I have no idea how the people who work here go there every day without feeling a soul-crushing depression. There's no art on the walls, no color anywhere - just white, some desks and a stout little coffee machine gurgling away in the corner. But then - what's this?! I was accosted by an extremely cute Yorkie that seemed to brighten the room right up. A guy took my keys and went out to look at my car. I played with the dog, who seemed particularly fond of slowly inching out of petting range, then whining until I moved over to scratch it some more. Alas, all that cuteness couldn't prepare me for the shock that was to come. $3,000+ dollars in damage. Yikes. Even given the damage on my car, that seemed a bit high - I'd had two doors repaired and repainted after some crazy lady backed into me and it came to only slightly more than what they were charging. Then again, I don't really know what's involved in bodywork, so, that could be totally reasonable. Thank the Lord for insurance. So I dropped off my car the next Monday, was told it would take three business days. Guess what?! It took exactly one. I got my car back Wednesday morning. FAST! EFFICIENT! And my car no longer looks like a golf ball. The staff was friendly and the phone calls were prompt - and that darn little dog is just too cute. At the end of the day, this is a reliable place to get your dents taken out - and it was fast too. Staff are friendly, but they do need to turn up their phone; and for pete's sake, at $3,000 a pop, you can afford to put up a poster or something. Would recommend.

The purchasing experience of the 2024 Tesla Model 3 was one of the most frustrating I have ever…read morehad. The communication from the Shaw GMC team was, at best, disrespectful. Due to an issue with my insurance profile, I decided to switch from financing to paying for the vehicle in cash. Because I was concerned that the process would not be changed in time before the first bank charge, I had to call Shaw GMC around eight times. None of the staff members were available to take my call, and no one could even tell me when someone would return it. None of my messages were answered, and I had to become extremely upset just to speak with a manager. At the time of vehicle delivery, I noticed a defect in the rear left door. This is a serious issue, as the door does not fully seal and compromises the vehicle's safety. This problem was never disclosed during the sale. When I brought it up, I was told someone would contact me about it, possibly to send the vehicle to a body shop. That never happened. Adding to the poor experience, the vehicle was not delivered fully charged, despite this being clearly promised at the time of purchase. This shows a complete lack of basic care and professionalism. To make matters worse, after I took the car home, the dealership contacted me to say they had installed the wrong license plate on my vehicle, meaning the plate belonged to another car. This put me at serious risk if I had been stopped by the police. On top of that, I had to interrupt my workday and wait for someone to come to my home to replace the plate with the correct one, which clearly impacted my daily commitments. All of this might have been overlooked if the service provided by Shaw GMC had been respectful and honest, but that was not the case at any point during the purchase experience. It is completely unacceptable that, when purchasing such an expensive item, there is no transparency or quality customer service at a dealership like this. I will never do business with this dealership again and do not recommend it to anyone.

We test drove a new 2026 Terrain and liked the vehicle but wanted memory seats. We were told that they could get us one with memory seats so we started negotiations. We finally landed on a price and Shaw GMC agreed to throw in car mats to sweeten the deal. We signed the preliminary bill of sale but were told that the VIN would change when they found us the vehicle with memory seats. The next day Shaw had located the vehicle for the deal and went to pick it up. I have text messages with the salesperson confirming that the sales manager approved him going to pick the vehicle up and the price would not change. An hour or so later we started to hear that the price may change as the memory seats come with a tech package that is more costly. So Shaw GMC decided to change our sale price. When I spoke with the sales manager over the phone, he said that I was lying and that he never told his salesperson that the price would be the same. I asked for a refund on my deposit and the sales manager said "there will be no refund, the deal is for this specific VIN number" which we both knew was not the vehicle that was negotiated. So, I loaded my family into our vehicle to go to Shaw GMC and talk with the sales manager and the salesperson to sort this out, but when we got there, the salesperson was sent home for the day, so he could not validate our side of the story. To this day the salesperson has not replied to any communications with us. We ended up having to pay more for our vehicle and at the end of the renegotiations the sales manager wrote into the agreement, that we were to give them a 5-star review. I am writing today with a one-star review because we still haven't received our mats that were written into the deal 3 months ago and both the salesperson and sales manager are no longer responsive. I hope GMC reads these reviews because no customer should have to go through this type of treatment when making a major purchase like buying a new vehicle.

They state the rear lights are not working and that they have to order a multi-function switch and keep the car for a week. To be fair they give the owner another car in place. When they call the owner to retrieve the car the remote starter is not working. They claim it's not their fault and there is an argument. The manager threatens the police on the 71 year old woman who owns the car claiming she attacked his staff with her car keys. Then they agree to fix the remote starter without charge. The son of the owner arrives in late May for a visit and another driver on the road tells him the rear lights are not working while he is driving at night. He takes the car to the dealership who initially want to charge for another diagnostic test. However, they tested the multi-function switch that was installed earlier and stated it was faulty. A new one arrived the next day and was installed. A day later the lights are partly functioning when the switch is held in between on and off but not in the on position. The manager says they will investigate but may charge a diagnostic fee. We are now in a situation where the car has experienced problems after each visit. The first time in April the remote starter was not working and they fixed it after hesitation and inappropriate police threats. Now the lights won't work after they tried to fix it twice (first initially and then the second new multi-function switch). Do I want to risk taking the car to them again after all this? No.
