My family and I were on our way to Lake Tahoe and my transmission blew after passing mono Lake thank God for the trustworthy amazing mechanics and Shannon with her great service and help as they got us home in less than a week and was able to find a refurbished transmission the work was amazing. My car runs amazing now and we were able to drive all the way back home to Long Beach California. I highly recommend Carson service center. The price was extremely fair considering I had to replace my transmission. They did not gouge me or overcharge me due to my vulnerable situation they were very accommodating and this is a place. I would definitely go back to if I lived in Carson City. read more

Carson Service Center - Auto Repair Near Me - Carson City, Nevada

One of the last (and best) honest service center/auto repair place! The people are actually nice and takes good care of their customers!!!

We bought our car here and it was exactly what we were asking for ! The people helping were great to work with ! We later brought it to the service center and they fixed the problem, BUTT the same read kept pulling on our car. They stood true to their warranty and beyond ! Highly recommend ! read more

I had my engine fixed by them 2 years ago. Best price because replacing head gasket is expensive. My car drives like a dream now. I can't say this about any other dealership or car repair shop. One of my co workers said they'd take care of me and they truly did! Five stars and I'd definetly return if I had to! read more

These people are so helpful. Mechanic was very skilled and knew exactly what to do . Fast service well done, thank you so much!

You must have charged me labor because it was over 550.00. I bought the two headlight assemblies and brought them in. The only things they had to buy was light bulbs and some fuses that they blew out. So if you didn't charge me for the labor, why was it over $500.00? Go ahead and post the total amount. I'll find my invoice tonight.... And with the 10.00 reimbursement I was told the first time by the mechanic they would take it off my bill on my next visit. And the second time they just refused. It's only 10.00. If the note was not made in my file that I had a 10.00 credit coming, how is that my fault? It should have been applied regardless. Makes you look more willing to work with the locals that come in trusting you. Plz check the cars you leave in he parking lot over night since you have so many homeless people sleeping and hanging behind the building. read more

Frank did an excellent job troubleshooting and fixing an idling issue with our 1990 GMC Stepside truck. It's hard to find a mechanic who knows older vehicles. Frank was thorough and knowledgeable. Shannon was friendly and efficient in finding the parts needed. We are very pleased with their service. Pricing was reasonable considering the hours it took to solve the mechanical problems. read more

Carson Service Center recently fixed our old truck. It was a complicated repair. They spent a lot of time looking for parts a readable cost for us. They also called to see if the truck was running okay after the repair. We completely trust them & are very grateful. The truck is running well. Thank you so much. We have been taking the truck to them for a few years & are very happy with their work read more

Frank and Brian diagnosed a big problem with the differential on my 1978 Datsun 280Z and took care of it and now the car runs better than ever. They are professional, knowledgeable and show a real interest in getting the job done properly. Prior to this they also took care of issues with the fuel injection and brakes. It's not easy to find mechanics willing to work on a classic car and these guys are the best. A shout out to Shannon who was most helpful in getting parts and keeping me advised of what was going on. Oh, I almost forgot... They cleared out a nasty nest built by very busy mice. read more

Good people and good service ! Juan, Brian, Tony and Martin are very good techs, I definitely recommend them. Saeed

I had to have my trans replaced and despite the unprofessionalism of the warranty company covering the repair costs, Shannon and her team were amazing, helpful and professional. Thank you Guys read more

Brought my car here after it was having trouble starting. car ended up there for over a month and $7k later still won't start. Put a new engine in with a. 3 month warranty. The engine immediately leaked the oil pan was missing a bolt I had a mechanic look over the work who said it's the worst he's seen in a long time. After bringing it back with warranty they said leaks aren't covered and charged my another $500 for the oil housing filter leak. The car leaked over 1.5 liters of oil in my driveway over a month. They let me leave the shop one time with my car because I needed it for work back in South Lake Tahoe didn't let me know not to put it over 4000 rpm's. These people don it care about your car and some of the worst customer service you'll ever come across. Over the past 3 months I've called them over 20 times and received a total of 2 calls. They do not care about your car I got pulled over leaving the lot due to a taillight out. Nothing is torqued to manufacture standards. My initial quote was for $1100 to fix the car. $7k later the car still Doesn't start and they missed the original issue of alternator. I even had to show The employee how to clear a code on his scanner. I would pay the guy with the beard not to work on my car. His attitude is worthless and left a wrench/ towel in my cowel and never put the cover back on I was driving around with a wrench and towel (fire hazard). You want Professional service this is not the place. Mechanics Use the wrong screws use cheap oreillys parts and non-oem sensors etc. read more

Friendly and patient staff, super willing to help us out after our car broke down in the parking lot!

I came from San Diego and my car was misfiring.'I called at 8am Ans spoke with Juan. He said he was busy but he would take a look since he knew I was stranded. After trial and error they were able to find the problem. He replaced the bad coils immediately and I was able to drive back to San Diego. This place was truly a blessing. I couldn't be more grateful! Definitely recommend this for any service needs. read more

I was having problems with my car, was referred to Carson service center by a friend, it was the best recommendation I have ever had. The people at Carson City Service are professional and honest and very nice I would definitely recommend them and their prices are on unreal they are awesome. Thank youTom and Drew in the rest of the staff at Carson Service Center. You have a new client for as long as I need help with my car. You are the best! read more

I wish I could give these guys 10 stars! Honest, very honest guys here. They did a diagnostic on my CRV and told me exactly what was wrong with it. Other shops lied so much! One shop (HONDA) lied to my face saying my engine lost compression. It was bs! All it needed was 2 new oxygen sensors and new spark plugs. It runs like a champ!!! I was selling it, but not anymore! Thanks guys, Dave, from Wild Bills up the street! read more

I commute from Reno to Carson during the week. When I noticed some brake noise, I needed to find a repair shop that could get the job done while I'm at my office. After checking several reviews and asking around, Carson Service Center sounded like a good option. Boy, am I glad I found these guys! Drew got me in right away on my way to work, was quick and honest with the quote, and had the job done by lunch. Totally reasonable price, and no "upselling" of service or parts I didn't need (unlike a certain dealership that will remain nameless). Although I have a favorite mechanic in Reno, I will definitely be back to Drew's shop if I need service while in Carson City. Highly recommended. read more

I came here twice last year for oil changes and they do what they do best. Both times I did have to wait 1.5-2 hours with 2-3 people ahead of me so they do take quite some time though I don't know if they're just short-handed. However, they are nice folk and was only charged roughly $20 if I bring my own oil/filter. I'd still come here over other locations hadn't I learned to change the oil myself. read more

Great people, friendly and always find the problem. Drew the mechanic is very knowledgeable and affordable pricing for sure.

Service Provided Experience with the place 1 year. 2 trucks 2017 dramamax basic break repair ( job done correct and onetime no issue) 3 Carpet cleaning vans , breaks, radiator hoses , wheel hub . couple other things Here Goes the latest event with these incompent people. They call me back Friday a day later , you need belt tensioner etc. Said no prob get er done. Sounds basic right ! Ok we all know we get that call afte we drop off a car truck van , same old" up sell" call or some cases actually a real situation that needs to be addressed. THis or that wrong and oh btw you need to replace this too and that bla bla bla. Ok thats standard shop behavior. Honestly every used car has a part with worn parts that could be upgradded that life in the mountain region area high desert. Friday comes around Pre 4 th july weekend. So VAN would of been stuck there 3-4 days in limbo for no F reason These folks from front office call and said they close at 4 pm . I WAS WORKING IN TAHOE, said no problem Ill drive down and get you paid and get keys and have someone pick up van later. SO I GET TO CARSON SERVICE CENTER AT EXACTLY 3;30 PM THIS A GPS TIME DATE STAMP ( our vans are tracked 24/7 with special devices) I see a woman out by the gate and some guy with a beard in old chevy truck. I said Hi im here to get the van and would like to pay you. SHE LOOKED RIGHT AT ME AND SO OH WELL. I SAID EXCUSE ME , AND SHE THREW HER HANDS IN THE AIR AND SAID SOOOO. I said i have an extra key you cant leave my van parked on carson street. This is not a van than can be kept unlocked or un attened to. Said offifce closed . SO i said F U again and thx . But im not leaving the van. They leave. I had to take the van to my shop / secure storage area with camers and locked gate. Call any uber and go get my other van that i left there. Here come the interesting part These morons call me 6 days later. Yea thats right 6 days later " Hi this is carson service center call us back " SO the van could have been anywhere and or vandalized / theft etc. These folks in the front office are some of the worst ive ever dealt with in business here 9 years. If you choose to you them beware ! As far as the mechanics , well there was that one one weird male prostitue looking bearded mechanic i wouldnt let touch any bodys car. There are a couple good mechanics in there that i have heard. THe reviews are mixed. Need your radiatior fluid topped off or windshield wiper these fools prob place to go. Need customer serice an vehicle repaired dont waste your time, they dont care about yours Reposone from shop should be classic . Look for it . What fools ! Wait folks theres more if you have the patience to read on. SO just got reminded that time before I dropped off this van we dropped another truck off again elementary basic repairs. nothing big. I was like whoa what the hell goin on here. Then I see this guy with his head on desk inside office. Use your imagination. Who knows. But Class less service read more

I bought a truck from Zolli with his extended warranty. Turns out I needed a new motor. 8 weeks later I got my truck back with a nasty dent in the hood. After having it 3 years I have some front end work done and when I get it on the lift I have 1 bell housing bolt holding the transmission to the engine. Whether they rattled out due to not being torqued down or were never installed. I found new bolts and went to install them and found a snapped bolt upper passenger side top bell housing! Why this wasn't fixed is beyond me. Super lazy work. I would give zero stars if possible read more

This place is great. I was able to get an appointment quickly and when the day came, the repair was completed efficiently. The price ended up being less than they originally quoted me! Most importantly, the guys I dealt with were very nice and helpful. I'll be back! read more

I purchased a car from this company last year at what I thought was a fair price. Approximately 90 days after the purchase of this car, the power steering pump failed. I returned to the dealer expecting them to give me a hard time as I bought the car with no warranty. But to my surprise the owner brought my car into the shop immediately, replaced the pump within the hour (this included ordering the part and waiting for it to come) all at no charge. I will be taking all my business there in the future. read more

Great people and fantastic service. Worth driving from Reno to Carson to get my car serviced

I bought a car from experience cars in Carson, it needed some work, so I took it carson service center, as a condition of my warranty coverage, the place is awesome. Drew, the manager did all work in 2 days and the warranty covered everything, I will forever take my car to them! read more

My husband was there today looking at trucks. I even applied on line and have an income of $70,000 a year. Tom and another man that works there made fun of and laughed at my husband today because he has slurs his speech and because he could not explain that he had a large cash down as well as a truck to trade in. My husband has MS, he is not stupid and should not of been treated like that. You've lost a customer as well as every family member, friend and business owners that we know because no ethical company should treat anyone like that. read more

I am so happy and feel very lucky to have stumbled across this place. I was in a bad situation and needed a car, and the owner had me in a great vehicle and worked hard to get me financed at a good price. Had no problem fixing the minor issues on the car, even after he dropped the price below kbb fair market value. I was expecting a "sold as is" like I would have gotten from any other dealer on a vehicle this old. The owner is friendly and honest, which are both hard to come by these days, sadly enough. When we were shopping around for a vehicle for my boyfriend last year, I wish we had found Carson Service center. Instead we were at bigger dealerships who left us waiting for hours while they "checked with the manager" and "worked on the financing," which is a common ploy to make you so ready to just get out of there that you don't bother haggling. Also, once we were off the lot and had a problem, they could have cared less. Should I have any future mechanical issues (which I don't forsee because despite this car's age it's s still incredibly reliable, boy I love my Subarus), I will only ever take my car here from now on. I'll also be recommending them to everybody for repairs and new purchases. I really can't speak highly enough of them, and wish I could go higher than 5 stars. read more

Just took my car in to have the brakes done and I'm pretty happy with Carson Service Center. The final cost came in at the estimated amount (which I felt was a reasonable price to begin with) and the work was finished the same day. I also felt that the mechanic was honest and he treated me respectfully. I will definitely bring the car back in to them when it's time for future maintenance. Thanks, Carson Service Center! read more

Excellent and honest customer service. I just moved to Carson City and I feared that my power steering pump was on its way out. Drew was able to fix my issue without replacing the pump and costing me hundreds. I defiantly recommend Carson Service center for good honest work! :) read more

I went into this dealer a year ago to look at a van, was amazed at the ease and care that went into my first impressions of Zoli, and Stephan. I bought the van after a little haggeling about the price, and drove away. There were some issues as this was an older van, but was as amazed at the ease they showed me, and corrected the issues and helped with things, like a new battery, even months later. It's really nice to have someone act like they really care. They guys are men of their word, a rare quality these days...Last week I brought a vehicle in to them that I needed to sell. They were very fair in their appraisal, and wrote a check that day. I can't say enough good things about these guys, but if it's about a car, either sales or service, rest at ease these a great guys. read more

Full brakes for Toyota Tundra. Excellent service, completed in a timely manner and fair price. Was OK using my parts which was important to me. I used to work on my vehicles until an injury. Will return if other work is needed. Thanks! read more

Be very careful. Liars and cheats. Tom, Stefan, Zollee, and whoever the manager is, are no good. Paid cash for truck, 2 k over blue book. Was told it was "turn key," and a "unicorn." No more than a week after purchasing a truck I had a laundry list of issues. Which carson servicenter would not help. As little as brakes being at 20%, 4x4 not working, bent wheels, a/c went out after they "repaired", oil leak in valley, bad alternator, air filter fitted together with PVC pipe, passenger side door doesnt unlock/ lock, bad front and rear shocks, wiring for trailer lights & brakes no good... wow. When I brought this to their attention, they told me to shut up, they could sell this truck for more, blah blah blah. Not nice. Not the way you treat customers. My fault, should have gone through it more thorough. Should have had another mechanic check it out first. Now we are in March, 8k later in repairs, still no title. W/ covid, only takes 4-6 weeks to get title. Not 5-6 months. DMV says title never processed, Tom says they did process. Lies. What a headache. They blocked my phone number after I asked for help with repairs within 1 week of purchase. These guys dont care. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all cost. read more

Found them to be dishonest in dealing with SSI disability. One hand they claim they could not help me based on my SSI. Then in a final email this person claims to have helped many people on SSI get financed. But refused me.
