I order from Carrot Express about 2-3 times a week and usually go to the Pembroke Pines location, which has always been great. However, my last three visits to the Weston location have been extremely disappointing. During my most recent order, everything appeared to be on time through the app, but when I got home and took a bite of the turkey burger, it was completely inedible. The patty was severely overcooked--hard, dry, and burnt to the point where it felt like biting into a rock. What's most frustrating is that this should have never been served. It's unacceptable that someone saw the condition of the food and still decided to send it out. The lack of quality control and care is honestly shocking. They are open early and close up around 9pm. South Florida locations get gazpacho which is great. I had the avocado toast and I thought it was great. I've been to another location and they all seem to be a great option for the burger and fry routine. There is outside seating as well as plenty of indoor seating. Real silverware was a nice touch. Andreana and Joel treated us so well during our dining-in experience. We sat in the outside patio. I had their Huevos Rancheros breakfast burrito and the Avo Tuna on Toast. I thought both were pretty good and plentiful. The items sre large and can definitely be shared. The Avo Tuna comes with a hefty portion of tuna and the burrito is large. I think the burrito could've had slight more flavor but not a biggie. It's relieving when you eat out and know that the food is on the healthier side - less guilt! Giving 4 stars for the space itself. This is one of the largest indoor spaces I've seen at Carrot Express and it was clean. There are a couple outdoor tables. I got the green goddess salad to go. I'm a fan of Carrot Express in general because I love how healthy and easy it is to do a pick up or stop by. Carrot express has been on my list for some time. I live within walking distance and love that there is a fresh healthy option near by. The space is light and bright. We walked in and looked over the menu and made our choices at the register. I opted for the Almond Butter Açaí bowl. It was jam packed with banana, strawberries, blueberries and pineapples. It had the best granola ever! The granola had cashews, pistachios, golden raisins, oats and just a lot of amazing texture. I loved that there was plenty and I had enough while eating the bowl. My latte was another story. I should know better. In addition to the up charge for the oat milk, the ratio of cup to latte just made it seem even more over priced. My husband opted for the sweet potato with chicken. He didn't really enjoy it. It was just boring/underwhelming. It was chopped chicken on a small sweet potato and a side of sauce. The restaurant is quick service. You order. They give you a number and then they bring your food. While they did bring silverware, they did not bring napkins. Everything is served on real plates with real silverware. It's a nice touch and more sustainable, but it makes for cleaning up our own table a little harder. If I had gone on my own and only gotten the açaí bowl, I would have probably been a 4 star - even with the 1/2 cup of latte - but I just couldn't with how my husband's meal looked. WoW why haven't I tried this place sooner. What you hear is true: it is healthy food. But who says healthy still can't be good. And wow was I blown away. The food was fresh, light and not heavy, and their signature cilantro lime sauce wasn't on the creamy side more of like a thin, vinaigrette sauce but soooo good. The only con I could find was the price, it is more on the expensive side. A meal for two including boxed water and a smoothie came out to approx $50+. But I'd go back so that says a lot. We had the Jessica's Toatones with tuna tartare on top. Which was really good. The fish was great and fresh. But my favorite was the mahi mahi wrap which comes with brown rice, avocado and pico de gallo. Soo good. The fish wasn't too flaky and not too soft in the wrap. It was excellent. It was the sweet potato stuffed with chicken. The chicken, even though it was cooked perfectly, it was not very hot and was much lacking on the flavor. Now, the sweet potato, it was extremely small and overcooked. At least it was hot. They have no soda. Pretty good for both Uber delivery and take out. I probably wouldn't sit to eat here inside given the floor space. It's in town center and their the pressed juices are nice. You can get decent aokai style bowls here. I personally do the Cesar wraps more. I've had their sweet potato with and without chicken which isn't bad. Sometimes you'll get lucky and be able to order ahead for a couple of people using their 2-for-1 specials (Uber One). If you decide to spoil any dieting they have cookies that are huge. I'd heard about how fresh and good the food is here so I wanted to see what the rave was about. I ordered the chicken pesto passion sandwich that came with side salad and sweet potato fries. My bf got the chicken pesto platter. We both agreed the chicken pesto was better in sandwich form. We then saw them bring out fresh carrot cake slices so we made sure to try that as well since they're known for it...slice of heaven! Very fresh satisfies the sweet tooth! Expired Carrot Cakes, improperly cooked food, and abysmal service! A few weeks ago, we ordered a slice of carrot cake from their online portal and they handed us a slice that had been expired for a week. We gave the venue a second chance this week and placed an online order for two wraps. Our order was not ready on time (although we received a message saying it was ready) and the cashier relied on google translate (she did not speak English). Further, due to our last experience at this particular location, we checked the dates on the carrot cakes to ensure we were getting a freshly prepared slice. To our surprise, every single carrot cake they had was a day or more past the best-by date. When we approached the cashier and cook about the expired and/or past best-by slices on display, they discussed amongst themselves in Spanish, seemingly making fun of us for bringing the expired cakes to their attention, then attempted to hand us a slice that was past its best-by date, claiming it was, "fresh." To add insult to injury, our wraps were charred and the chicken in the Legal and Liv wraps was pink and rubbery. When we called to speak to the manager, they hung up on us and then asked if we spoke Spanish when we called back. Save your money from their expired pricy food and abysmal customer service. It was extremely fresh, flavorful, and filling. The three Fs! For a drink I ordered the skinny green power smoothie. It is my new favorite smoothie! The taste was spectacular!!! It consists of: spinach, avocado, dates, banana, oat milk, and VITAL PROTEINS vanilla protein powder. I needed to get something as a sweet treat for later so I ordered the vegan banana bread! Okay you guys I'm going to give a very honest review . I was recommended this place and I will say the food is definitely good but not lunch prices . Someone recommended I try this for lunch since I try to stay away from fast food places and it is pricey . 20.00 for a salmon burger but if you have no problem with paying between 25-30 dollars for a lunch then you should try this place . I have had so many things from their menu and although I'm complaining about the prices the food doesn't miss everything is super good and fulfilling . I've had the Mahi , the miso salmon , the salmon burger I've had so many things and they are all so good . I will still go back honestly .
