We had a wonderful stay at Carrabelle Beach RV Resort! The park is clean, well-maintained, and has everything you need for a relaxing getaway. There's a nice pool, a playground for the kids, cornhole, a small store with a few essentials, and laundry facilities on-site. One of the best parts is the location, it's just a short walk to the beach. The beach was clean, peaceful, and not crowded, which made it even more enjoyable. Everyone we met was incredibly friendly, including our neighbor who lives there fulltime and made us feel very welcome. Overall, we were extremely pleased with our stay and would definitely recommend Carrabelle Beach RV Resort to anyone looking for a quiet, family friendly place to camp. I am a full time RVer and from my travels, Carabelle RV Resort is the nicest RV park on the Forgotten Coast! Beautiful quartz crystal sand - like walking through powdered sugar. Luxurious heated pool. Beautiful manicured landscaping. Playground and pet park. We stayed in #110, which had a very large concrete pad (we have a 43 ft) with 2 picnic tables and room for 2 vehicles. We traveled to the "Forgotten Coast" after spending almost a week in Louisiana figuring we'd enjoy some Florida sunshine close to a beach on the Gulfside of the state to extent our vacation. I haven't been here since the hurricane of 2018 and it was good to see the recovery has progressed nicely knowing that these catastrophes aren't easy to come back from, it says a lot of the people in the area that adversity is only a minor setback for most that call this area home. I don't like arriving at any campground after the sunsets especially when I'm unfamiliar with the set-up but I ensured everything I needed was communicated clearly long before arriving, the staff here was very accommodating and did exactly what we agreed to so life was pretty good even though we arrived after 9:00 PM. You'd be hard pressed to find a more beautiful setting, this RV Resort is nestled in a quiet area just outside the town of Carrabelle and directly across from Carrabelle Beach. Anytime you can enjoy a well crafted cocktail at your campsite and can see the gentle waves of the Gulf lap the sand on the mostly secluded beach between sips means you've found a little piece of paradise. The campground is well maintained and all the amenities added to the experience. The sites are clean and spacious even for my forty foot MotorCoach but maneuvering into your spot can be a little challenging. The pads are set ninety degrees to the entrance roads so a watchful eye and a little patience will pay dividends and keep any frustrations at bay. All the neighbors were friendly and helpful and always eager to assist, this is one of the parts of RVing I really love. I was happy to see the electrical, water and sewer hookups were well maintained and the grounds are immaculate. Once the setup is completed the fun can begin and whether it's a serene walk on the beach or a drive into town there are plenty of things to enjoy here, but honestly RVing provides a level of enjoyment that doesn't require a lot of outside interaction, meeting new people and enjoying cocktails with people that share the same interest is always part of the adventure, but sitting in a comfortable chair with the grill going under the shade of the canopy is something that's hard to replicate. It's more about owning all your own time and spending it with people you love to spending that time with. We encountered no issues with the amenities here, the prices are reasonable and I never had to interact with the staff being all the business was conducted online, any trash I put roadside disappeared each morning and it was very quiet and peaceful it's not surprising to me that so many people return here year after year. This area offers a lot of things to do and see but best of all it provides a great atmosphere where doing nothing at all seems to be the most enjoyable times... read more

Pros - A/C recreation Center, Dog Friendly, Concrete Pad for Trailer, Across the street from the beach Cons - the first three days we were there the bathrooms were "co-ed". There was not any other place to shower or use the bathroom with the other gender being able to come into the bathroom - this continued every day whenever they would clean the bathrooms. I was in the female bathroom when a male guest came in because the male bathroom was being cleaned. The 30 amp power service could not handle our 30 amp trailer, it kept tripping the breakers in the trailer and one the pole. We had to buy a 50 to 30 amp converter just so we could use the A/C, refrigerator, and hot water heater. The 110 plug could not handle a simple kitchen appliance like an electric skillet, it kept tripping the breaker at the pole. We had to buy yet another 30 amp to 110 converter in Panama City (80 + miles away) just so we could cook outside, so there was something wrong with the wiring at the pad. We also spoke with another couple who was having the same issue, so I have a feeling it is more than just our rv pad. WIFI - please do not get me started, you could BARELY check your email. When you arrive they tell you not to use the WIFI for streaming or to complete any remote work for your job. This is NOT in their advertisement. The cable TV did not work, we could only get 4 PBS stations (laughable), The pool was cold (not heated). The scheduled garbage pickup did not occur when they said it would, we would oftentimes have to take ours to the dumpster. The fenced-in dog area was about 10 feet by 50 feet long and smelled horrible (like strong dog pee). The dumpster was always overflowing and garbage was often strewn on the pavement with birds continuously picking at it. The advertisements look great until reality smacks you in the face when you get there. We stayed for 2 weeks and were extremely disappointed; we will not be back. read more

Great experience. Stayed here over the thanksgiving holiday and had great weather. Being right across from the beach is very handy with three kids! The Playground is just a backyard play set that's seen better days. All sites are paved and are mostly pull through. Close together but plenty of room. Staff is very friendly. No fire pits which is a bummer. I understand since the sites are so close together, but at least they should have a community fire pit for everyone to gather at in the evenings. The kids and I were really looking forward to making s'mores! read more

The is a nice quiet little park right across from Carrabelle Beach. Only cons was the spaces are a little close and I went to do laundry and only 1 out of five dryers were working, and that one was marginal. Would stay again, just not do laundry;) read more

Going downhill fast! The bathrooms are filthy. They do not even sweep daily. Showers and bathroom stalls not cleaned for over a week despite guest's multiple requests. serious bug problems (cockroaches, beetles, stink bugs, mosquitoes and ants). The clubhouse kitchen has pots and pans that are in worse condition than you'd find at goodwill. Floor, counters, cupboards and cabinets not very clean. It is not stocked with dishwashing soap, paper towels or other basics. read more

We love, love, love this RV Park. This trip was our third stay at this park. It sits directly across the street from the public beach with a full view. It is extremely well mainly. Every day you can see the outdoor personnel doing they're thing. Every site is landscaped and mulched. It also had a pool (although apparently not heated), but you need only to walk across the street and be in the Gulf waters. If your into Gulf Oysters,!Gulf Shrimp or Gulf Seafood Carrabelle and Eastpoint are most definitely the area to be in. This area is called "the Forgotten Coast", it's due its reputation. There is no traffic and no overbuilding just a serene area and Carrabelle Beach RV Resort facilities your memorable experience. read more

Nice clean campground, but it was very tight for big rigs and the sites are not level they lean too much to the right! They bathrooms are very clean! They seem to be having a hard time keeping the birds from pooping in and on the deck of the pool, maybe leave a broom out so we could sweep it off! If you are here in May the biting yellow flies are horrible leave bug welts and itch a lot! read more

This used to be a very nice place, but after the ownership transfer, things have gone down hill. Despondent, uninterested staff that ignores observations such as overflowing garbage cans at the pool, broken plumbing (one toilet broken, one overflowing with human waste on the floor, and one shower inop), pool water quality, and a common area club house AC unit inoperative. The camp site was nice with full functions for electric and hook ups. We stayed the week and went to the beach and some other places we frequent in Appalach, Port St Joe, Carrabelle, and St George Island. We understand facilities have maintenance issues, but the staff probably reflects the disposition of the current ownership: "we don't give a damn." Too bad, because this is a very nice location. read more

One of the nicest RV parks in this area of Florida. Excellent location right across 98 from a beautiful beach. The Park is well ran, clean, friendly and generally a nice place to relax. They have all the amenties one would need, cable, WIFI, picnic tables, , . While the sites are not be biggest around, they are arranged nicely, all concrete with attractive landscaping. Seems like most all the campers are happy and enjoy being there. Nicely stocked convenience store on site as well. Nice pool and deck area for lounging around. They have a nice dog park, plenty of dog pick up bag stations and dogs are allowed on the beach. Which is a real bonus for us. Near to many fun areas like St George Island, Apalachicola and many state parks. read more

Carrabelle, a great city to get away from everything and just unwind. We drove up with family and stayed here, with the father in law using the RV facility and hookup, and the rest of us staying in onsite cabins. The RV parking is your standard fair, with power and water hookups, plenty of spaces, several of them that have pull through slots for those that hate to back in. As for the cabins onsite, they are really just glorified mobile homes. The accommodations were clean, with a bedroom that had bunk beds for the kids, and a full size mattress for the adults in a different bedroom. My issue here is they need some serious updating. We had three different cabins, and none of them had a flat screen television set. The cable offerings were a bit problematic as well, as the mainstay of ESPN wasn't offered in the rooms (this is college bowl season). As for the advertised view of the beach, you can see the beach, but it is across the street and behind the trees, so this is a bit misleading. The game room was a welcome addition, with a pool table, large screen TV, and full kitchen. Signs outside mentioned not using computers for more that 30 minutes, but there were no computers inside to use. Wi-Fi speeds here were on the extreme slow end, but at least it was provided for free. Overall, it is a nice place to stay if you are using your RV, but otherwise nothing spectacular with the cabins. read more

A great spot for a week in the RV! The site was clean, and the park is right across the road from a lovely beach. There are all the necessary amenities : big clean bathhouse (for when the water heater goes out in your camper ), a clean laundry center that isn't terribly expensive ($1.50 per load), and garbage pickup from your spot every morning. There's a place to buy bagged ice, and they aren't scalping you with the cost, either. The staff was friendly and helpful, and very accommodating. Did I mention it's right across the road from the beach? The road isn't super busy, either, so getting across to the beach isn't like playing a game of Frogger. It is pet friendly, lots of people with their dogs. The beach is also pet friendly and there's a couple of baggie dispensers so you can easily clean up after your pooch. The only issue I had has nothing to do with the site and everything to do with Florida: deer flies. Oh well. read more

This is a nice RV park, which is right across the street from Carrabelle beach. The sites are nice and new and in great shape. You can walk to the beach and you can take your dogs out with you on the leash. It is really beautiful here. The sand at the beach is very white, but the water has a brownish tint here. read more

Amazing spot! We took our friends 5th wheel here for 4 nights. The beach is right across the street! The facilities and amenities (especially the pool and restrooms) were clean and modern. The staff in the office were all super friendly and helpful. The store was well-stocked and well-priced for ice and drinks. Plus we bought cute souvenirs! Really rude over the phone. I called to ask about availability over a month in advance. I explained that the time frame I selected on the website showed as unavailable but because my dates are very flexible I thought she might be able to find a block of dates that would work. She refused to help me unless I gave her specific arrival and departure dates. She lectured me, did not listen to me, showed no interest in actually helping me and seemed unable to understand the concept of flexible dates. read more

We agree 100% with Thomas on 8/1. We've been coming here for years and have never seen it this rundown or deserted. There might have been 20 campers here all weekend, especially in the summer months. One problem, we believe, is that the prices have almost doubled since the new ownership. All the staff are new since the new ownership and aren't friendly. When we asked the girl at the front desk who owned the campground now, she had no clue. Employees should know who they work for. The facilities weren't real bad, but needed some attention. It appeared that there were only 2 maintenance people and that they were responsible for both the grounds and cabin cleaning/maintenance. This facility is too large for just 2 employees taking care of it. We have plans of coming back here anytime soon. read more

This is a very nice campground with nicely landscaped paved sites. It's across the highway from Carrabelle Beach but there is no view unless you are in one of the few sites by the road. There is a nice pool area but unfortunately it is not heated so we were unable to enjoy it with water temp of only 71 degrees. There is no fitness center but there is one piece of equipment in the clubhouse to use. The laundry facilities and shower building are nice and clean. Everything is well maintained and clean in this campground. The grounds are nicely landscaped. Trash is picked up twice daily. WiFi is fair, Verizon is slow. There are no daily planned activities like many resorts but they do have some special events for holidays. Our only complaint would be rude guests leaving barking dogs day after day all day long . The office did approach the offenders but did little to control it. We had dogs barking next door to us for over 2 weeks during our stay. read more

Stayed here on Friday and Saturday nights (2/5/16 and 2/6/16). This place is GREAT! Very clean park with concrete pads for your spot. We had a beautiful slip with a couple of palm trees, picnic table, and grill right outside our door. They had plenty of red mulch in the beds and everything looked so clean and perfect. We were just a few minutes' walk from the beach and public access. We ate at 2 places while here, 2 Brothers on the Beach for supper and Emsys for breakfast. Both were EXCELLENT! We will stay here again and again! We had 3 kids with us (12-18) and they all enjoyed it as well. Very friendly atmosphere. read more

Nice RV park right across from the beach. The beach was not very nice, however. There was seaweed everywhere and nowhere nice to sit. It is on the inside of St. George Island and also the mouth of the river so the water isn't nice at all. They blamed it on a recent storm, which may be true, but from what I can see this beach isn't very nice. They do have picnic tables there though. The campground itself has nice sites. Small, all concrete with small landscaped areas in between. The pool is nice, but when we were here there was hair getting wrapped around us every time we got in. YUCK! The bathroom trash was always full, the floor in the women's bathroom isn't tiled properly so water sits and doesn't drain. I had to report not hot water the first day, no toilet paper one day also. The convenience store is nice and so are the people. The lounge, game room area has a full kitchen and pool table, Foosball and TV. Very nice. The laundry room doesn't have a change machine so bring some. There should be another bathroom. No bike trails at Carrabelle. Lighthouse playground is cool and the nature center on the way to St. George is very nice. We drove to St. George island twice and checked out the state park campground which is right across from really beautiful lovely beaches and the campground seems very nice. Next time we are staying there. read more

I truly expected more. We were placed on a site that was right next to the Highway. Extremely noisy and difficult for relaxing. When walking through the park, I noted the road noise could be heard everywhere. Not a quiet park at all. The advertised view of the Gulf was across the Highway and through heavy trees and ground coverings. Truly you sat outside your rig and watched cars, trucks, motorcycles go by. The pool is not heated and it was truly too cool to enjoy. Carabelle Beach across the Highway was very nice and a great place to take a walk. The cabin rentals might be nicer as the road noise that is heard throughout the park would be muffled out by the more insulated structure of the cabin. We paid for a week; checked in on a Saturday and left by Tuesday morning. Could not take the noise any longer. We went to a smaller park down the road and had a much more enjoyable remainder of the week. Don't think I would recommend this place to anyone. read more
