There was a delay in installation, and they had to put temporary covers on my counters, which were boards that had a highly toxic odor. When our countertops were installed , they were really nice, the backsplash was installed and grouted at later dates, and again, they were stunning. However, the grout where the tiles met the countertops cracked, my husband went to see our representative about getting them re-grouted, he was rudely spoken to by a different employee and we were told that they'd do it in the summer when the weather got better, and that cracks occur in colder weather. Following his conversation, I emailed our representative pictures and a request to get a date to repair and I did not get a response, and that email was sent on 1/15/25. I'm very disappointed in the after care service and will not recommend this company. My husband ended up caulking the area and it looks good now.

They did my 1700 foot driveway in less than 30 minutes for $650 cash. That's only $.38 per square foot vs $400 to buy the material lowes and slave in the hot sun all day to do it yourself. Rather than mill up their mistake and resurface the drive correctly, Slonaker's poorly patched up the mess. Now, almost three years later, it looks terrible. New cracks emerge all the time. Other contractors estimate that the $5,130 Slonaker paving job is going to cost us up to $25,000 to fix. I cannot recommend Slonaker. Addendum: The owner has replied to my initial review and fabricated details about a tree being the cause for cracks. This is inaccurate, and certainly would not account for asphalt cracking all over the driveway, or the uncured "goo" in several locations on the drive. Plus, the job was under warranty, as per the contract. As for his crew spilling sealant all over the street in front of my neighbor's home, I'm surprised he admitted to it. I had not even mentioned that episode in an effort to keep my review focused on the major issue. But my neighbor was furious, and the incident is another example of Slonaker's bungling. The crew, who arrived six hours late, decided that hosing down the spilled sealant with water, which flowed into, and fouled, Craig's Run, was the ideal way to deal with the situation. We are very disappointed. We stand by my original conclusion: we cannot recommend Slonaker's.

I went to the Carpet Gallery in Hagerstown Md in November 2020. I wanted to buy solid colored…read morecarpet that could be cut and bound for seven different sized rooms. I told the salesman that I wanted relatively inexpensive carpet and he showed me some very small sized samples. I paid half of the cost down and it was delivered in January 2021. As it turned out, this carpet was the most horrible looking carpet you would ever want to see, The guys that delivered the carpet demanded the check before the carpet was laid down and told me after I asked about the stain like markings on it, that it would look better after being laid down for a couple days. I did not have my glasses with me, and I hate confrontations , so I waited 2 days and then went back to this empty house I was having work done in. Well the carpet even looked worse , and I called the Carpet Gallery. They refused to offer to do anything about it , and insisted nothing was wrong with it. I filed a complaint with Better Business Bureau, but the Carpet Gallery did not respond. Finally , I reluctantly filed a small claims lawsuit. Unfortunately the judge was not pro consumer and I knew a few minutes into the hearing that he was on the side of the company. That feeling made me nervous and I did not do a good job of presenting my case. I had read before the hearing that it was very difficult to win a carpet lawsuit based on the bad appearance of the carpet. Anyway I can appeal but I don't know if it would be worth the time and effort. So all I can do is warn as many people as possible about this company. Once they get their hands on your money, you are over with them and they will not do anything to satisfy any complaints you might have,
