Very responsive, called back same day and because he was in the area doing some other jobs, came by to do estimate later that same day. Great price on filling cracks & seal coating. Offers senior discount if you ask. Very professional. read more

I am supposed to have a year warranty with their asphalt work and they will not respond to texts and phone calls. After 3 months, grass and weeds growing through asphalt and crooked driveway and edges crumbling. Very poor workmanship and seems to be a shady company to deal with. read more

After a week, we finally understand why he never came on the appointed day and time. Vehicle breakdowns do happen and I understand. In another week it will all be good and forgotten. read more

Driveway is three to four years old and needs to be replaced. Grass is constantly growing through the asphalt and if you park a vehicle in the same place for a few days it starts to sink. There is also a large seam that runs down the middle of the driveway that I was told would go away over time. it never did. I had another company look at the driveway and was informed that it's 1.) was poured to thin and 2.) Does not appear that the base / compaction was prepared correctly. read more

well considering Josh or Donovan or what ever name he goes by completely ruined my parking lot I would say steer clear of this company. not only did he ruin the parking lot he owes money from a deposit I gave him in Nov and have not been reimbursed yet. Now he won't respond to me. blacktop was supposed to be 2-1/2" thick and most of it is 1" at best and is all cracking up. So guess we'll fight it out in court. read more

Called and complained about work that was done and asphalt is coming up and never called back, wouldn't recommend the company.Poor customer service read more

Stay away from this company. Paid good for a sloppy job. Not 3 inches thick like promised. Cracks everywhere. Water sits in four spots. Feels like a roller coaster driving on it. Donavan will not return my calls or texts. read more

I thought I was getting a good deal but after I told people how much I paid, they ALL said I got ripped off!

Less than 3 months later and the results speak for themselves! Stay away from them. I contacted them when it first showed signs of damage and they refused to do it right! Or respect the tar thick enough. The contract stated 3 inches of millings and it was about 1. They were also supposed to grade the driveway to have it shed water. That did not happen either!! Stay away from them!!!! read more

They did an excellent job on paving my driveway I would recommend them. They ripped it up and did it all on the same day. read more

Nicholson offered to repair my driveway's surface, initially for $1300. We settled on $900. But all I got was a light coat of "oil" for the money. Another contractor working on another job for me offered that I had "been taken". The original surface is reappearing in various places, and I am definitely not happy with the job. I left a voicemail expressing my dissatisfaction, but never heard back from him. I definitely would not hire this company again. read more

Donovan and his workers did an amazing job sealing our driveway. Very detail oriented and the price cannot be beat! They did our neighbors and she is a bit picky and she was very satisfied. Highly recommend! read more

Nicholson Asphalt - Newly sealed driveway - Masonry/Concrete Near Me

Absolutely love my freshly sealed driveway! Nicholsons was way cheaper than all the other quotes I have received over the past year. I detail cars in my driveway and it was very stained from cleaning chemicals and grime. They were very careful during application and did not get any overspray on my garage door or my concrete walkway! Thank you Donovan! I will definitely be using you again next year! read more

Came and gave me an estimate to fill in dips in my driveway and then resurface the whole driveway in April. I live in a townhouse and my driveway wasn't that big for me to meet the minimum with other companies. On the day of the job, they were on time. When the asphalt was laid, they used a small compactor, no roller to make everything smooth and even. The driveway looked okay from the eye but once you walked on it you could tell that the dips were still there and it was really prominent after it rained. I reached out numerous times to Donovan only for him to give me the run around and say he would come and fix it and then not show up. Do yourself a favor and pay the extra money for someone to do the job right and actually values the customer. Nicholson's only cares about getting your money and doing poor work. Now I have to have it redone again because of their poor workmanship. read more

can't say enough good things about this paving company! The whole experience was smooth from start to finish. Their prices were very reasonable (especially compared to other quotes I got), and the quality of the work is excellent. His crew was great: polite, hardworking, and they got the job done quickly without cutting corners. They even cleaned up everything afterward, which I really appreciated. My driveway looks amazing, and I couldn't be happier. Highly recommend! read more

These guys tore up and replaced some damaged parts of my driveway today and seal coated. They did a fantastic job! Very professional, super quick response, and showed up exactly when they said they would. They took the time to explain what was going on with my driveway and I never felt like I was being pressured to purchase a service I didn't need. Highly recommend!!! read more

I very seldom call out anybody or anything but I have to say something about this. Also, please accept this post as an apology for those who may have taken my recommendation. Notice that I'm not doing this anonymously. This event happened last fall. The company in question is Nicholson Asphalt. I first contacted them for an estimate. Their prices were lower than others I had gotten. They gave us two options, either asphalt or millings. We opted to invest in getting our driveway done with millings. The cost was much lower than asphalt and they assured us it was just as good. They showed up on time and were ready to go. They used a front end loader to spread out the millings about 2" or so. Then they "allegedly" seal coated it with a sprayer. The solution they used was supposed to be a tar compound. Then they used a hand held tamper to compress the millings. Not a roller but a small tamper. At the time, I thought it was a little inadequate and asked if they rolled it. They said this was just as good. When they were done it looked absolutely beautiful. I was really impressed and gave them a good online recommendation. In fact, they even put our driveway on their webpage which got several inquiries. They said wait a couple of days before driving on it. Then they contacted me and adjusted the time to one day. Not wanting to ruin it by being hasty, we waited two full days before driving on it. They said the more you drive over it it will get better over time. When I first walked on it I immediately realized something was wrong, it just crumbled under my feet. I only weigh 150lbs and it shouldn't have done that. Upon further examination I noticed that the seal coat was just superficial. It wasn't sticky or have any adhesive qualities. All the millings under the very top had zero sealant. It was basically a gravel driveway with black spray paint. There was no tar odor whatsoever associated with the spray. Our driveway has about a 15 degree angle. When we tried to drive over it the tires just spun. It made one hell of a mess and inconvenience. I contacted the company and requested them to come back and repair the damage. They said they would. We waited and nothing. This went on for several phone calls and text messages and just got lip service in return. To date, they have made zero attempt to call me or rectify the situation. I have a friend that came over and leveled up the millings so we can at least get up the driveway. So for anyone that might have taken my recommendation, I apologize. read more

Nicholson Asphalt....do not request service!! I asked for my driveway to be done....he just sprayed it. Not cracks cover! I've been robbed $100 for a townhome driveway! So mad. He states I didn't ask for the right service. Got it. He should've provided a better service and gain more business if he took the time to actual sell what it was needed for my driveway. I would've had been happy to pay the extra fees. I communicated immediately. His answer "This is a business, prices are prices." Manage better your "business". Be better at telling people what they actually need. Not all of us are knowledgeable about your bussiness. That's why you are the owner. They are too young to understand what is customer service. read more

Terrible company terrible people. They did a terrible job paving my driveway, throwing the extra asphalt in woods across the road, tore up my yard, asked my wife for lunch, asked to use our gas to keep their small roller running, asked to use my wheel barrow which still has asphalt caked on it, asked to use our propane to heat the asphalt at the end of the driveway which set and they put more asphalt on top so there is a speedbump when entering....it was just overall really bad and on top of it all I have to pay someone to take out my speedbump and fix the end of it. So I wouldn't have them do anything to anyone's driveway or property period. read more
