Had Jeff and his team replace my kitchen countertop. I can't in good conscience recommend them for countertop work. They did a C plus job, except for the granite work done by Lupe. Jeff G. did not stand behind his work. He also verbally accousted me. I guess it worked, because I paid him in full. Over the holiday's rain came in my windowbox that was incorrectly tiled. read more

These guys did some carpeting and some vinyl plank for me. Nice folks, good quality work. A little more expensive than the big companies down the hill, but if you need them, they are right there on Highway 18. I would highly recommend. read more

The staff has been absolutely wonderful and worked within our limited budget. They were very professional and yet treated us like family. This is a great company! read more

I've used Carpet Station two different times now for flooring and Steven Wallace was my contact! It's so hard to get reliable workers up on the mountain but these guys were Total PROS! Even if you have to pay a little more- it was worth it to have them come when they said they were going to, do a fantastic job, then clean up after, without me even having to be there either time. Completely trustworthy and will def recommend to others thank you!!! read more

I shopped around and got several quotes. Not only were they the cheapest but they were the fastest. Steven is an absolute PRO! He will get you exactly what you are looking for and get it done quickly. Absolute straight shooters who are happy to give you options and suggestions on what to do and what not to do. They won't try to oversell you or pressure you in to buying. In fact we changed our entire project because of the advice we got. Saved us a ton of money. Our carpets came out amazing and the crew was 10/10. I would highly recommend these guys to anyone. read more

Terrible experience. We hired them to do carpet in our luxury home, and they totally botched our job. Horrible customer service, we will see them in court! read more

Steve was just amazing, I did not buy carpet from him because I was given carpet as a gift from a friend, but he arrange an installer it was seamless and he was so helpful. I would recommend this company to anybody. read more

Hired Jeff and his crew at Carpet Station to install a high quality laminated floor product in our house in Lake Arrowhead. Great craftsmanship and attention to detail. Showed up and finished on the agreed-upon date. Left the worksite very clean. Would use again. read more

Thank you to Carpet Station for the remnant that I used to cover my dog steps. They were 4 steps that we made in to 2 large steps. Tuxedo, my 16 year old, finally uses them to get on the bed. Jeff was great to work with. He was able to give us a quote and get the work done in a matter of days, which helped us out. The store had plenty of options to choose from. I'd highly recommend. read more

I should have read all of the poor reviews on this guy - close to 25% of all reviews are poor. They are accurate. What started out as a wonderful experience became a nightmare. A billing error caused by carpet station ($400) resulted in the owner (Grotewad) intimidating my wife to the point of tears. Interestingly enough - when I called - he was very"sweet". When I challenged the way he treated my wife he actually told me to "F off". The reason we chose his company in the first place was to support our mountain community - even though his prices were much higher than down the hill. While my family will still do that - we will never support this guys business again. read more

Everything about the work that Jeff and his crew did was far better than what we expected. He even carpeted the stairwell in our house as a free bonus. The price was very reasonable and the job was much better than we thought it was going to be. Jeff kept his word as to what would be done and then exceeded what we expected. We would recommend him to anyone wanting any kind of flooring and wanting a really professional job. Bob & Barbara read more

I've managed small and large apartment communities throughout Los Angeles for decades so when I finally bought my first home I was prepared to be disappointed when I decided to go with a carpet company I've never used before. While this may sound harsh, I'm guessing some of you have probably had the unfortunate experience of hiring someone to do a the job only to be disappointed with their work. You paid them and felt ripped off. That didn't happen to me this time with Carpet Station. You read glowing reviews on Yelp and there have been times when I wondered how genuine they really were. Let me assure the Carpet Station not only met my greatest expectations but surpassed them! Steven even loaned me carpet samples to take back to Burbank so my wife could decide what we wanted installed. (You don't want me making those decisions) Steven showed up on time with David, our installer. I've never seen anyone work so hard as David did with a driving instinct to do only the best job. When I told him about the living room floor making this loud creaking noise he spent an entire day just nailing and screwing the planks into the floor joists! He even had to go out and buy more screws and didn't stop until the job was perfect. That's a dying work ethic these days so if you want your home done by a true professional you want to hire these people at Carpet Station. Steven and David will deliver your dream floor to you. They certainly did just that for us. read more

What a great experience! Jeff is the king of multi-taskers! He is so efficient in managing all aspects of the procedures. He had my hardwood floors refinished by Horizon Hardwoods, the best! Carpeted my stairs by David, who was very efficient and did a great job and had Horizon Hardwood install hardwood in my basement. Don't hesitate to contact this company, they are great! read more

Wish I had gone with them for my carpet and wood floor needs several years ago. Was recommended to Carpet Station by my friend/electrician and his uncle who is a huge and reputable contractor in the entire San Bernardino area. Needed a little patch work done in my kitchen and Steven and David were great at helping get that done. Very professional, kind, and willing to help you get things exactly the way you need. I recommend them to anyone living in the mtn community. I'm definitely having them do any future work for me and recommending them to all my family and friends! read more

Quality customer service and a nice selection. Expert at trade, and very trustworthy.

To appease your conscience, do your due diligence, get a couple of bids (in my case hardwood flooring), and then toss them in the trash and give the job to Jeff at Carpet Station. He's a smart, friendly man, but most importantly he'll get the job and done well at a cost I certainly couldn't find others to beat. His rep on the mountain is excellent for a damn good reason. My wife and I are very happy with our new floor. And, by the way, his work crew hardly paused for lunch; they got the job done in record time; and they too were polite and professional as well. read more

I pass the Carpet Station almost everyday but never had a reason to stop. I finally needed carpet for a remodel, so I stopped in today. I was blown away by how kind and thoughtful the owner, Jeff, was. He helped me get everything I need quickly, and gave me a better price than I could have imagined. As a Realtor in the area, I wouldn't do business with anyone else other than Carpet Station. read more

We have an older home in Lake Arrowhead and needed to replace our hardwood flooring and wanted carpet runners for the stairs. We had used Carpet Station around 11 years ago for our loft and called them to come give us advice. Steven Wallace came to our house and gave us some ideas. Our biggest concern was that we had 2 different wood colors in our house: cherry kitchen cabinets and an redwood stained wood around the windows, on the doors, and the baseboards. We wanted to incorporate them both without having to repaint one or the other completely. He suggested we go to the showroom to look at flooring and carpet samples. Within about 10 minutes we had a large few samples to take home to see if they would work with our color scheme. They were perfect!!! We ordered the flooring and he gave us a few options on how we could have stair carpet runners installed. They were able to get the job done, showed up on time, and communicated well throughout the process. The men who install for them, Manny and Sergio, were excellent!!! We could not have been happier!! Turned out that our floors were not level: no problem for them! They exceeded our expectations and we have recommended them to people looking for flooring. I would not hesitate to use them again!!! Oftentimes on the mountain, there seems to be a bit more lag time than usual, but not from Carpet Station!!! They were super easy to work with and Steven Wallace oversaw the entire project and made certain we were happy with the results. Great team!!! read more

We came here looking for new carpets for a couple of rooms we needed done. Altogether, we were working with about 500 square feet. The carpets we chose were middle class (the owner confirmed that they weren't terrible, nor the best). The quote we received was $2,500!!! I understand businesses like this are scarce on the mountain, but seriously? And we were going to rip out and dispose of the old carpet ourselves! Complete rip off!!! DO NOT COME HERE. read more

The Carpet Station is fantastic. I had two rooms done in two days. David worked quickly and did a beautiful job. Jeff and Steve were communicative and responsive. I would recommend them and will be using them again! read more

$190 for snow chains? I understand that certain businesses take advantage of another persons emergency, but this was a total rip off. This is greed, ridiculous. They know that we have no choice but to buy the chains, they benefit from our last resort, thanks. Great business. read more

Thank you for your honesty, Carpet Station! I shopped two other Carpet stores and the Carpet Station offered better quality carpet at $300 cheaper. Being a retired Contractor I may be pickier than most. But the installers did not disappoint. The craftsmanship was of high quality. read more

Carpet station came in and restored 1939 original oak floors to PERFECTION. They were prompt, polite, and very knowledgeable about that they needed to do, how long it would take, and how to best care for the floor once they were gone. We had them return to do knotty pine floors in a different location of the building, and WOW they are incredible. James and his crew got straight to work, and did a fantastic job. I recommend Carpet Station if you're up on the mountain and need professional service. I worked with Steven, he is very responsive and I felt like he cared about the results as much as I did. read more

I stopped in today (Christmas Day) and was shocked at how rude I was treated as well at how much the owner of this establishment will rip people off. I would not ever recommend this place to anyone. I couldn't believe they were charging people $135 up to $190 on snow chains and when I said something this kid that worked there cussed at me while I was holding my 2 year old daughter in my arms. What a horribly mannered kid. These snow chains SHOULD RETAIL for way less. They are ripping people off because they can and they know it. Especially on Christmas Day! WOW. Don't ever support a small business like this. They don't deserve to be successful by ripping people off! Shame shame shame on them. read more

Poor quality materials. We had a metal divider between the linoleum and the carpet that lasted over 15 years. They threw it away and put in a plastic one that was broken in less than a week. Very disappointed in the quality of the flooring. read more

Last month we had carpet station put in carpet. We are very, very pleased with the results! From start to finish they did an excellent job. When we went there Mary recommended a carpet and that is the one we went with. It was on sale, not the cheapest but also not the most expensive. Jeff did a great job with the estimate and the installers also did a great job installing, moving furniture and even cleaning up afterwards. Now we get to sit back and enjoy the look and feel of the carpet. I would highly recommend them to do your carpet! read more

We really wanted to give our business to a local carpet company but I definitely regret that decision. I was very disappointed with the entire flooring process. We paid what I thought was a bit above average and for subpar service. The entire process was anything but smooth. Our staircase was broken during the install process which the flooring company took little blame for. They couldn't even tell us how it happened which was very frustrating. Luckily we noticed the staircase was broken because even though it was broken during the install process the flooring company had no intentions of letting us know that it was unsafe for anyone to walk on. They also had no intentions to fix it. They were going to carpet right over it and not say a word. We also had the installer show up at our home unannounced in the evening to do work in the dark. The house had electrical issues at the time. What kind of install job is done in the dark? The whole install was just very unprofessionally done. We unfortunately will not be using this company again and I would definitely not suggest them to friends or family. I will use a more professional company for my future flooring needs. read more

Do not use Carpet Station. Jeff demanded final payment before he completed job (very insulting). I had already paid him thousands of dollars and wanted to wait until job was finished before making final payment. He told me he was a man of his word and would be at my place in Arrowhead to finish the job the next week. I paid him and a few days later he called to tell me he would not be able to make it when he promised. I finished the job myself. read more
