I was fresh off a night out and then a 45 min wait in the Bo de B line, so needed to just get off my legs and post up for a bit. I was aimlessly wandering toward the W and found this cozy little cabana-esque spot that wasn't crowded, so I decided this was it. What a building that W is by the way. I need to look up the architect of that. He's doing his thang. Sitting here, you are right on the beach protect from the sun rays with beautiful white umbrellas as the W looks down over you, with an option to sit in these lounge chairs where your feet are in the sand. Luxury. Definitely more expensive than most other spots around, but I was willing to pay extra for the vibes. 4 stars because the price and the spritz was kinda mid.

After struggling through some language barriers, we were able to order. Some of out dishes included: seafood paella, Squid ink paella, grilled octopus, fried cheese, red herring and bread with tomato sauce. Our meals were wonderful. The paella was easily split between two people and the fish was fresh. This was definitely a great stop on our visit of the church.

(Please see my attached photos for the menu in September 2025.) I asked my tour guide to recommend a Spanish restaurant for lunch, and he chose Picca Dilly. The interior looked nice, and an employee promptly and politely served us. My husband and I enjoyed Iberian cured ham, ceviche, patatas bravas (potatoes in spicy sauce), and chicken paella. Upon looking at my receipt at home (my husband paid in the restaurant), I see that the restaurant also charged my husband and me for our tour guide's steak and mineral water. I had thought that our tour guide paid separately. I am not opposed to buying a tour guide's meal, but I would have preferred to decide that. I wonder how that happened...

We ordered few small plates to share and try, most of them was great, not a fan for the fried squid ( it's calamari actually lol). Many locals/regulars were clearly there, but there is English on the menu. My recommendation is to order the smallest size plate of everything because the dishes are huge. Everything we tried was very flavorful and delicious. The tripe was cooked in a delicious soup with garbanzo beans, and the octopus was slightly salty and sprinkled with paprika. We saw so many tables with huge dishes, which tipped us off that we needed to order smaller, which was still more than we needed. The waitress (she wore glasses) was very gracious with our Spanish, and our neighboring table kindly explained that the orujo they were served was a gratis (free) post-meal brandy. I'm not sure if you have to ask for it, but we did, and it was not on our tab. We might just come back for another meal, as I noticed the grilled lobster was only 20 euros, and there are many dishes I'd like to try.

There were some English in the menu but not enough for us to get by, so someone with a bit better English came to help us, and let's say her English wasn't that much better but it's so sweet that she tried her best and evening using google translate for us. So, everybody ordered a seafood platter, so we ordered one as well. As we were hungry, we ordered a plate of octopus and potatoes. This was easily one of the best and cheapest meals that we've had. The seafood had simple seasoning - butter and garlic perhaps, but it was so good! It was cooked to perfection. The razor clams, shrimp cooked 3 ways, and mussels were so good! The octopus and potatoes were amazing. The octopus was so tender and the little bit of chili flakes with the potatoes and octopus was so good. It was so good that we wanted to eat here for the last meal in Barcelona, but the closes early. How sad! Must come if you love seafood!
