Caroline's Cookies is one of the newest dessert joints in Lafayette and has had a huge social medial following, especially at their start up, now it's mostly word of mouth about these two hour wait, six cookie limit, sellout after an hour of opening places. Sounds like a major headache and some bs for some cookies, right?!? RIGHT. Well, lucky for me and you, my stubborn ass (because, lines? Waits? No guarantees? No thank you!) did finally have a dear friend stand in line one morning recently for us to try one (ok six) of these babies. And I get it you guys. I freaking GET IT. Tip-put these in the microwave for a few seconds. Oh lord, are they are decadent! The ones we tried (see photos) were all good... but the Peppermint Hot Cocoa y'all...goodness. Chocolate, marshmallow and a hint of peppermint. They taste like Christmas love. Freaking Christmas love, ok? Absolutely delicious, absolutely worth every single minute in line. Believe the hype about these cookies and do not hesitate to go to Caroline's!!

These cookies are thick and gooey (and delicious). I enjoyed trying some of the June flavors, but I think my favorite is still Circus (not pictured but available year round!!). The store branding is adorable. There's always a wrap around line but service is efficient and runs smoothly. Very impressed by this business run almost exclusively by young women. Will definitely be going back.

Literally just the best cookies you've ever had! And just the sweetest workers!!!! Love Caroline cookies so much!!

Waffle with butter and syrup , surprisingly good!

Caroline's Cookies are the BEST! I've tried other "cookie" shops and there's a reason that Caroline's sells out almost every day! They're great! I love that customers can get punches on a card for free cookies and after the 3rd card they get a dozen free plus the ability to bring a favorite flavor back on the menu for a day. So many flavors, such a hard decision! (Thankfully, there are little to no wait times in Lafayette any more. But they still sell out.)

We are from Texas and had heard great things about these cookies. We happened to get there early and decided to wait for opening and I'm so glad we did because a line started forming before opening. It moved so quickly because they have a very structured system in place for getting people in and out! Now the cookies - phenomenal. Way better than any Crumbl or modern cookie shop. They're not overly sweet, thick, the perfect texture, and full of flavor. Can't wait to be back!

I can cry just thinking about not having these for another year. The Christmas tree was absolutely spectacular. The topping was so good, fluffy, and sweet. These cookies are really sweet, which is kinda nice because you can just eat half a cookie at a time. They offer delivery, which is amazing. They arrived perfectly in a box and came within the time slot specified.

Ok, since my last review I've visited Caroline's again and she's started doing this time slot thing which really helps with lines! This was actually executed quite well and it was cool to just wait, grab a card, and return during our assigned time! I liked that she tried to help battle the crazy line situation and this really made our experience quite quick! My only gripe is that she did run out of cookies we wanted to try which was a bummer. So this kinda turns into waiting in line for the soonest time a lot, rather than now waiting in line to get cookies first. It's definitely a much better system than before though. I also still don't love all the flavors. Some of these just feel like overload and I wish she'd take a more creative approach with seasonal flavors. I came during the Halloween specials and recently for the December ones, and I've gotta say, Circus cookie still wins every single time. She had a cinnamon roll one during October which was really simple but great! None of the December flavors felt standout. The hot cocoa was really just sugar overload (reminded me of the worms in dirt one, which also felt like too much). But she's doing great at improving and I'm excited for her to grow. Also, as you can see in my pics below her Halloween decor was ADORABLE.

Make sure you wake up at 7 am and get you a time slot! Great cookies. They are large and tasty. My family and I enjoy grabbing the monthly specials. Awesome cookies.

This spot is a must visit while in Lafayette! Some of the best and most unique cookies I've ever encountered. The cookies themselves were so delicious with each one having its own speciality taste and look. My personal favorite was the Oreo swirl with cream cheese icing that was out of this world! The inside was super cute with a little spot to take pictures. The only downside is that the place is so popular that you have to reserve a time slot to go a pick up cookies and later on in the day they allow walk-ins. Which I understand but at the same time it kinda doesn't make you want to wait for some cookies. Even though they are worth the wait! Totally recommend!

A co-worker of mine raved about how delicious Keller's King Cake Amaretto Walnut Cream Cheese is,…read moreand insisted that I give it a try. Since it's a local bakery, I thought, "Why not? I'm always up for supporting my community." So, I headed to one of their downtown locations on Friday after work to place my order. The cashier, Nyla, told me to come back the next day--Saturday--around 10 AM for pickup. Saturday rolled around, and I could hardly contain my excitement. I woke up early and eagerly counted down the minutes until my pickup time. I arrived at the bakery at exactly 10 a.m. and approached the counter to give my name for the order. However, my enthusiasm quickly turned into confusion when one of the staff members returned, unable to locate my order. She asked me for my full name again, which I provided, but after another five minutes, another woman from the back emerged, confirming they still couldn't find any record of it. I expressed my disbelief, explaining that I had placed my order with Nyla just the day before. In response, Riley, another staff member, sought out Nyla for clarification. Although Nyla acknowledged that my name sounded familiar, she seemed to avoid making eye contact with me, which added to my discomfort. After further searching with no results, Riley asked if I had the receipt. Unfortunately, I didn't bring it along, to which she coldly replied that without the receipt, they couldn't confirm whether I had actually paid for the cake. It struck me as absurd--when Nyla took my order, she never mentioned that I would need the receipt for pickup, nor did I anticipate that my name alone wouldn't suffice. I challenged Riley, asking what the point was of taking my full name if they couldn't keep track of their orders. She explained that during the busy Mardi Gras season, they had numerous orders to manage, which seemed to be an inadequate excuse for their oversight. After what felt like an intense and unnecessary interrogation lasting over 15 minutes, Riley finally handed me the coveted King Cake, but not without delivering a condescending remark: "I'm assuming you've paid for it," she said, her tone and facial expression dripping with skepticism. This comment stung, especially coming from someone representing a local business I was eager to support. On the drive home, I couldn't shake the feeling that I had been accused of theft. So, as soon as I got home, I searched for the receipt. Once I found it, I drove back to Keller's to clear things up and prove I wasn't stealing. Upon my return, I approached one of the staff members and confidently presented my receipt, stating, "Look, I paid for this King Cake yesterday; I'm not attempting to steal." I asked if they would take back the King Cake and refund my money. Just then, Riley appeared from the kitchen, acknowledging that they had indeed misplaced my order and she had spoken with her manager who offered an apology. However, I firmly told her that an apology was insufficient after being treated as if I were a thief. "Do you now believe me?" I asked, but Riley simply reiterated her apology while I expressed that my morning had been ruined by the entire experience. To make matters worse, the manager never took the initiative to come forward and address the situation or apologize to me directly. To the management and owner of Keller's Bakery, I have several pointed questions: First, why was this situation not handled with professionalism and care? The failure to manage it properly is disappointing. Second, what would have happened if I didn't have the receipt? Would my word not be enough to be believed? Does trust depend on factors like race or socio-economic status in your establishment? This entire experience has left me with a bitter taste from the treatment I received. I can say with certainty that I will never recommend Keller's Bakery to friends or coworkers, nor will I return to support a business that lacks fundamental values of respect and accountability.

*King Cake Review*…read more My dad is known to say that Keller's has the best king cake in the area. Now, my dad knows a lot of stuff about a lot of stuff but when it comes to king cakes I just kinda turn my ears off when anyone, including dear old dad, around here claims to know anything about king cake. I realize I sound like a snob...but y'all. People who live here just accept (without question or protest!!) that donut shops basically make a bigger donut, put purple, green and gold icing on it at and call it a king cake. Like no one is saying anything!! WTF people? That's a donut. For years this has gone on and donut shops were just counting all their extra money and probably laughing about fooling the Cajuns. There must've been enough transient people like me who were like "hey, you guys are being lied to. That ain't no king cake." Now don't get me wrong, no bakery here makes anything even close to what the New Orleans area is used to regarding the Mardi Gras delicacy, but some of them, like Kellers, are damn good still. They also have unique fillings like amaretto walnut and lemon cream cheese. Definitely worth a try!
