I got a painter who was a super nice person but not a painter. And he didn't tape so my trim on the doors had bleed over that I went through and touched up. The flooring that was put in was put in with chips in it and the transition board was not the correct type of transition board. Apparently, the owner blamed that on me, the customer, when I had nothing to do with buying the flooring or the transition board. Fortunately, when they finally made it back out to my house to fix the job they did poorly in the first place, Earl made it right and put a much nicer (and correct) transition piece in. The communication about arrival times was terrible and I had to drive from Hubert to Jacksonville to meet them at the house. Can't forget about the 3 trips to Lowe's I made for their employees to get materials they forgot to bring. Oh, and the piss left on the seat of my brand new toilets by the workers!!! Dave comes across as professional but he has a workforce that he doesn't treat well. The whole job left a really bad taste in my mouth and I would not recommend this company.

If you're looking for an honest, dependable, knowledgeable, & professional home renovation…read morecontractor, I can't provide a higher recommendation than Jim Rice the owner of Jim Rice Custom Building. He's a NC licensed (Q.104901) & insured general contractor...yeah I did my homework... so expect him to bring a higher level of expertise to the job. I speak from personal experience that Jim is on the job doing the work himself or ensuring the job is done to his demanding expectations. He just finished our down-to-the-studs kitchen & half bath renovation in our 1980's built home....everything from removing outdated florescent lighting, popcorn ceilings, dropped soffits, a wooden backsplash, non-vented cooktop exhaust, improperly installed granite countertops and failing cabinets. The only thing left was the existing porcelain tile floors. We now have much taller solid wood cabinets, recessed & under cabinet lighting, spectacular quartz countertops, a properly vented cooktop exhaust as well as an intricate herringbone tile backsplash! Since we eliminated the cabinets above the cooktop, he suggested a tall narrow cabinet recessed into the wall to the right of the cooktop which provided easy access to the items needed for daily cooking. He's definitely a problem solver! Plus he replaced the frustrating wire shelving in the pantry with custom built shelving which provided tons of additional storage. With the removal of the dropped soffits, our kitchen feels much larger without adding any additional square footage. He also renovated a half bath that only had a shower and a toilet...no sink! Didn't get a before picture, but have included an after. All I can say is I'm in love with my dream kitchen and new bath! Reach out to Jim to discuss your project. I guarantee you'll be thrilled with his craftsmanship and his work. His mobile# is 252-626-6494 or mail: jamesrice04072@gmail.com

This is just to let you know how they behave on the highway to get to their jobs. My trip to work was very scary this morning and from their comment, the safety of others is not a concern for them. Please consider this communication when choosing this business. This was my communication with them via Facebook Messenger. Please remember your business name is on your truck. When the driver bullies people on the highway, I assure you that business will be lost. Who wants to hire a bully. I feel certain this will not happen again. I hate to see an obviously successful business get a bad name for something so unnecessary. Honest Renovations LLC sent 13 minutes ago I greatly appreciate the feedback ma'am. But work doesn't reflect on how someone acts towards their customers or how they drive on the road. Time is money and a lot of money gets lost on the road. Others will tell you the same. Again, thanks for the feedback and have an amazing day. You sent 6 minutes ago Well, I certainly did find the driver of the truck. I am glad you feel that way and I am sorry you feel the need to put lives in danger because of money. I pray you will not have to ever tell my family or the families of the other drivers that you took our lives because of money. I am so sorry my safety and the safety of others is an inconvenience to your business. Best wishes. Honest Renovations LLC sent 5 minutes ago Take care as well ma'am.

This was our 5th custom build and Mike and Jane are just the very best. The end product went well beyond our expectations. Lastly, they managed the costs within a rounding error during the highest period of inflation in over 40 years while completing our home in advance of the timing estimate provided at the beginning of the project. It looks like it wasn't really built to withstand the elements, and now I'm seeing a lot of areas where it's starting to pull away from the posts. The gate is giving me trouble too - it doesn't open now. To top it off, the cap along the very top of the fence is separating and bowing in places. I got in touch with them and sent over some photos, and they did send someone out to take a look. However, when the technician arrived, it felt like he had an excuse for every single problem I pointed out. Instead of offering a practical solution for repairs, his main suggestion was essentially to tear the whole thing down and start fresh, which, as you can imagine, isn't exactly what I had in mind for a fence that's less than a year old.

He gave us several suggestions and we ended up going with a black chainlink fence. He said he had most of the materials in stock and that it would take one day, two at most, to get it done. His crew did a great job and it looks fantastic! I would certainly recommend Carolina Fence to anyone needing a fence installed.
