Rick with Renegade Fencing got back to me within an hour and came out to do an estimate the same day. Incredibly thorough and accurate. He did not clean anything up. He left a big mess and I am stuck cleaning up most of it. I'm supposed to also have a one-year warranty which he refuses to come back and fix what's wrong. He also left a defective double gate which he still refuses to come and fix. I am left to get a lawyer now . This is a very shady, dishonest person. I'm tall he laughs about it to his buddies and does not return for any warranty items. I believe he even brought his wife here to sway me the first day they showed up. She was really sweet and talked about him not messing up my landscaping and everything. He ended up doing just that. I have been digging clay out of my white rocks and landscaping for weeks now trying to get it back like it's supposed to be. Nails were everywhere and I told them several times. I have a robotic Lawnmower, they didn't care. They left old fence hardware thrown haplessly in corners that I had to remove. The excess clay for the new hose being dug was supposed to be raked out and used to cover the old fence post hose and excess was supposed be to go in the back of the gate raked out. When they dumped all the excess in the back of the gate and left big old piles of clay, nails and string, and everything else in it. I had to literally go fill up my John Deere cart, haul it to the front, put it in the back of my SUV and take it to the Tuscarora landfill. This is a scam artist. If you got lucky and he did something right then great but if he messed up something like he did me, I know you're mad as hell. It's been over a month and I am still cleaning up the mess that they left. The mess that they promised would be cleaned up.

I contracted him and he came out and I showed him what wasn't acceptable. He came out about a week later and not only did he not properly correct 3 issues but refused to do anything else claiming there was nothing wrong the the rest of the fence. I said I wanted the name and policy number of his insurance co. He told me the name but won't give policy number. Since then he won't return my calls texts or emails and hung up on me when he did answer. I hired another contractor that gave me an estimate of $1200 to repair and properly re-install the 300 ft. fence. This is only 16 of 74 photos showing faulty sections of installation. Will be taking him to small claims court.

If you're looking for an honest, dependable, knowledgeable, & professional home renovation…read morecontractor, I can't provide a higher recommendation than Jim Rice the owner of Jim Rice Custom Building. He's a NC licensed (Q.104901) & insured general contractor...yeah I did my homework... so expect him to bring a higher level of expertise to the job. I speak from personal experience that Jim is on the job doing the work himself or ensuring the job is done to his demanding expectations. He just finished our down-to-the-studs kitchen & half bath renovation in our 1980's built home....everything from removing outdated florescent lighting, popcorn ceilings, dropped soffits, a wooden backsplash, non-vented cooktop exhaust, improperly installed granite countertops and failing cabinets. The only thing left was the existing porcelain tile floors. We now have much taller solid wood cabinets, recessed & under cabinet lighting, spectacular quartz countertops, a properly vented cooktop exhaust as well as an intricate herringbone tile backsplash! Since we eliminated the cabinets above the cooktop, he suggested a tall narrow cabinet recessed into the wall to the right of the cooktop which provided easy access to the items needed for daily cooking. He's definitely a problem solver! Plus he replaced the frustrating wire shelving in the pantry with custom built shelving which provided tons of additional storage. With the removal of the dropped soffits, our kitchen feels much larger without adding any additional square footage. He also renovated a half bath that only had a shower and a toilet...no sink! Didn't get a before picture, but have included an after. All I can say is I'm in love with my dream kitchen and new bath! Reach out to Jim to discuss your project. I guarantee you'll be thrilled with his craftsmanship and his work. His mobile# is 252-626-6494 or mail: jamesrice04072@gmail.com
