We just had our fence redone by Coastal fencing.I must say I love the fence and the job was well…read moredone. The workers and owners went above and beyond in my opinion. They had the fence completed in 3 days. Workers were very neat and cleaned up after before leaving each day. My neighbors have all said how nice the fence looks.. Tony the owner over seen the work which made me very happy! Carlos crew chief communicated very well kept me informed and any issues that came up were resolved quickly between us..Their knowledge of fencing made me comfortable knowing I choose the right company for the job.. Thanks again Costal Fencing!!

If I could choose 0 stars, I would…read more I see Coastal Fence Company signs everywhere. I looked at their reviews prior to hiring them. I actually had another company come and chose Coastal Fence Company because they seemed more reputable. Evidently, that means nothing. I hired them to build a fence in the backyard of a house I am renovating. It was a wooden privacy fence and I had a picture for reference of what I wanted. They ended up starting the project a couple of weeks before they had initially stated so I was elated when I saw the crew arrive. I met the crew leader and we talked about the fence and my hopes for it's outcome. I had a very specific conversation with him about whether I would prefer gaps at the bottom of the fence or unevenness at the top and I told him I would prefer neither option but if I had to choose I would say gaps at the bottom. I emphasized how important it was to me that the top be even and straight. He assured me it would be. The second day they were on site I pointed out that the outline of the fence was not right. There was supposed to be a double gate over the easement in my backyard and the fence was supposed to be longer on one side. The crew leader then tells me that he's not surprised because something is wrong with every estimate he's given from the guy that did my estimate. He told me he would fix that and he did. I spoke to him every day to check in on the job. I could tell things were not looking very straight from the get-go so I touched base with him about my concerns constantly where he assured me that the fence would be straight. After watching them for days and seeing that there were issues that were being ignored I stopped the crew leader and told him that the unevenness of the fence was too much for me to accept and we needed to find a solution. He called his boss and told me that his boss told him to leave and he was going to come look at things. I was glad and wanted to talk with him myself. The next day I showed up at the house to find the crew hurriedly working on the fence and I asked them if their boss had already been by and he said no. I asked him why he was working then considering the conversation we had the day before and he seemed perturbed. I asked him to stop and wait until we could talk with his boss and see what we could do. His boss, the man who did the original Estimate, showed up later and seemed like he didn't have time to speak to my fiancé and I. He gave us sub-par attention and it was offensive because we were taking time out of our workday to discuss the problem and it was clear he wasn't interested. He didn't seem to see the problem and then he showed me the contract where it says in very fine print at the bottom that "fences will run with the land unless otherwise stated in the estimation process" and that "it needed to be discussed prior to building." The first problem with that is that I am a laymen when it comes to fence building. I would never have imagined that you would have to tell a fence company that you want a straight and level top. The second issue with that is that he did the initial estimate with me. If he knew that needed to be discussed then he should have asked. The third issue is that I did discuss this prior to construction with the fence crew that arrived. The final problem is that I never signed that contract to begin with. They forgot to have me sign it when I went to give my estimate and then emailed me when I left telling me that I didn't sign because they forgot and wanted to me to clarify through email which fence option I had chosen because I had a couple of options estimated. There is plenty more that happened throughout this process but I'll summarize from here on out.. They left and the fence wasn't fixed at all. I refused to pay the second half of the fence because I wanted answers about how it would be fixed. They came to "fix" it and didn't. Made it much worse. Refused to talk to and Insisted on being paid. I highly suggest you NOT use CFC.
