In the past several months, we had Painting the Town undertake two major projects for us. We…read morestarted by contacting Cheri, who set up an appointment with Tony for the next day. The first was to paint our house, a large two story house with peaks that extended to what would be three stories. There was also a separate 2 story garage that needed painted. Tony surveyed the project and by the next day had a bid ready for us, one that was less than the others bids we had received. They required 50% down and the remainder at the completion of the project. They worked quickly and efficiently, caulking any and all seams in the siding, soffit, fascia, and crown moldings. In less than a week, the project was done perfectly. The crew showed up on time and worked diligently under the supervision of Kayla, a true pro at not just painting but also in leading her group of workers. They also took care of any questionable areas in the siding to insure that all was well. A professionally done job from start to finish! After the great success we had with Painting the Town on our first project, they were the obvious crew to hire for painting the complete interior of our house, over 2,800 square feet including high ceilings, crown moldings, and a 2 story ceiling height over the staircase. Once again, the crew arrived at the exact time that they said they would, and, led by Kayla, completed the job in less than a week. Kayla insists on professionalism from her crew and they respond well. They were also very polite and pleasant to have working in our home. Heavy furniture needed to be moved and returned to place and was done with no problems, Coverings were placed over all of the furniture and tarps protected the hardwood floors. Not a nick or scratch could be found anywhere after they completed the job. Also, they applied the painted so carefully that there are no brush strokes or spatters on anything. We could continue extolling all of the positive things we have too say about Painting the Town and Kayla, but we think that you get the point--a professional group of painters doing a professional job. We would never hesitate one moment to hire them again for any job we would need done.

He contacted me several days later saying he would finish up the following day and wanted payment in full. I inspected the house and he clearly had several days worth of work to finish, so I told him I would pay him when he's done. He messaged me several times over the next week and a half. Each day telling me he was going to be done the following day. I gave him the same response each time and told him to let me know when he is done and I will pay. He became argumentative and defensive and demanded payment. I ended up paying in full before inspecting the house because of how aggressive he became. I regret that. He did a horrible job. Very sloppy work. I had to touch up multiple areas and it still looks bad. Do not hire this guy. Total hack.

I hired Kenneth Jones Better Quality Painting to paint my empty house prior to moving in. The…read morefloors were to be replaced so the company did not have to worry about getting paint on the floors with the exception of two rooms. He had three weeks to get the job completed. Pictures speak a thousand words. I asked him to come back and put second coats on several walls, ceilings, and woodwork, some of which never received a first coat of paint in places. He became defensive, did not show up when he said he would, and when he did show up, his helper painted flat paint on the woodwork which he hastily covered up, and he painted a few walls at eye level, telling me the paint wasn't dry yet when I pointed out areas that were still deficient. I gave up, thinking my only recourse is a Yelp review and small claims court (I paid $4200.00 for the work). It is so disappointing to want to move into your freshly painted new home only to find that you have been duped. Now I am stuck painting and waiting to move in, with a bad taste in my mouth.
