when it comes to Mexican food, the first thought which always cross my mind is carnitas tacos. the owner Miguel can cook a mean carnitas. both of the salsas available are thick and along with onions, cilantro, lime and a hearty corn tortilla make these some of the best tasting tacos.
he carries other meats like bouche, lengua, pig feet, etc. but i will have to return tomorrow (saturday) and try the other menu items.
it's a food stand so dont expect things like a formal menu. it's better to talk to Miguel and ask him what meats he has and what he recommends. he might surprise you with something he has a limited quantity of.
he has one bench table to eat at, hand sanitizer and a roll of bathroom paper towels in lieu of napkins. i have to admit though, if it were a choice between the super thin napkins (which i hate) or this stuff, i'd prefer this stuff as it wont fall apart while wiping.
my final 3 tips are as follows:
1. they dont serve drinks at the food stands. instead, you walk towards the church school and there is a stand that sells various types of drinks including alcohol.
2. let your tacos rest a bit because it is super hot and will burn your tongue.
3. it is cash only but dont be an a-hole and only bring $20 bills. make sure u have $1's and $5 dollar bills so you dont need to break a $20 to help make things more efficient since he's like a one man show. read more
