I had immediate regrets not getting more than 1 taco. The meat was flavorful and juicy, the tortilla de harina amazingly soft, the salsas packed a great punch of spice and flavor. I will say, tortillas are good and taste fresh, al pastor from the trompo was crispy, juicy and the sweetness from the pineapple was well balanced. unfortunately the asada was lacking for me. it was dry and the texture was almost like ground beef. we also went at 10ish, not too late, but they didn't have many of the salsas and onions cilantro and someone had to ask them to bring out more. it could have been an off day! and it wasn't a complete miss so ill def see for the next time

One thing I like about this place is how fresh the tacos are. They're constantly grilling the meat right in front of you, so everything comes out hot and freshly made. I usually order the chicken or carne asada tacos, but I prefer the chicken. It's always been my favorite. Each plate also comes with a potato, which is a nice little bonus. Just keep in mind that they only give you one potato per plate, regardless of how many tacos you order. So if you want two potatoes, you'll need to ask for separate plates. They also have a self-serve toppings bar where you can load up on onions, radishes, sauces, and other toppings however you like. I love being able to customize my tacos. Prices are pretty affordable, around $2.25 per taco from what I remember. Paying cash is slightly cheaper than using a card, so I'd recommend bringing cash if you're planning to stop by. They also sell horchata at another stand nearby, and there's a separate burrito stand, although I usually see more people going for the tacos. Overall, it's a solid late-night taco spot with freshly grilled meat, affordable prices, and plenty of toppings. I've been coming back for years, and the chicken tacos are still my favorite!

I'm picky, but Ave 26 delivers every single time. It's super affordable, open 24/7, and there's always plenty of parking, which is a huge win in LA. Plus, it's honestly one of the best spots in town for people-watching while you eat. Let's talk favorites. My absolute must-order is their al pastor burrito with everything. It comes loaded with tons of smoking hot, perfectly seasoned al pastor meat, melted cheese, and incredible flavor. To top it off, they have a solid lineup of tasty salsas and spicy condiments to customize every bite just how you like it. Whether you're wrapping up a late night out or looking for the perfect spot to celebrate after a Dodgers game, Ave 26 has got you covered. Get out there after the win and grab a burrito -- you'll thank me later.

There's no indoor seating, so either grab some extra napkins and eat in your car or keep an eye on the outdoor tables and hope someone leaves so you can grab a seat. Regardless, these tacos are SO worth it. Every single taco has its own distinct flavor, and I've tried pretty much everything on the menu without being disappointed once. The blue corn tortillas are soft but sturdy enough to hold all the toppings without falling apart, and they absolutely do not skimp on the fillings. The tacos are packed with meat and guac, so you're definitely getting your money's worth. Don't forget to stop by the salsa station and grab some salsa, because they're all good! Their aguas are also so bomb, and they come in quart containers, which is another reason you get so much for your money. Seriously, wait in that line. I came here for dinner on a week night and my experience here was pretty good. I had the asada and al pastor tacos with all the toppings and they were both so good and full of meat and heat. The toppings can be spicy for some, so be warned. My favorite of the two was the all pastor which was flavorful and I did like the thinly shaved meat. It was not dry at all and was fresh. I also tried the mulita with al pastor meat and that was also soso good. Cheesy, meaty, and indulgent. The additional topping section had good variety with pickled onions, cucumbers, etc. and everything seemed pretty fresh. Unfortunately, they were pretty much out of the roasted pepper and grilled onions at the time I went. To drink, I had the horchata and that was also very delicious. It was huge, sweet, and creamy. I also loved how it was not grainy at all. A good pairing with the rich foods. They also have a good amount of seating at the stand with a long table and multiple chairs. Parking is tricky since its street parking only.

Been here twice and both times because we were going to a show at the Forum which is just a short drive away. It gets pretty busy around dinner time so expect a long wait as the line moves pretty slowly (everything is made/ cooked fresh!)... but the wait is 100% worth it. Just make sure you order enough the first time so you dont have to wait in line again. There is some parking but it gets pretty crowded too so you might have to street park (and the area around can get a little sketch) so be careful. The second time we came here was almost 1130pm right before their midnight closing. This time, the parking lot was emptier so we managed to park inside. There was still a pretty steady stream of customers even around closing, but at least the line isn't ridiculously long. Can't go wrong with anything you order here!

Huge plus that they were making their tortillas from scratch on the spot but the tacos were really small. I should've order six tacos instead of four. The carne asada with the guacamole and cilantro were an amazing touch. I accidentally got the salsa in it and it was pretty spicy. Cabeza wasn't my favorite meat cut too. I then ordered an horchata and they only had one size and it was huge but so good! I would come back to get their burrito.

My friend also got a burrito and I heated it up the next day to enjoy and it still tasted awesome. Also, make sure you ask them for pineapples since they did not include it until we asked. They do have them sliced up in a container by the meats. I arrived right before they opened and there were 6 customers already waiting outside, the food has always been outstanding and I think the pricing is also great though I firmly believe you get A LOT OF QUALITY for what you pay. That mesquite smoke is insane and you can smell and taste it in their food. Their most simple item I've tried, bean and cheese burrito, is so amazing! I mean, how can something so simple make me say "OH WOW" every single time? Must be the flavor added by the lard they use in their flour tortillas. I also reheated two of these burritos next day, they were still tasty! Their burrito 2.0 is hands down the best burrito I have ever ever had: simple, their asada is amazing, they season their beans and the guacamole is great! Their salsa is super tasty though I always struggle to eat it because it is super spicy (I'm not used to eating a lot of spicy food, so for those of you who do, you may love it!). We've ordered family meals which are great, they give you a lot of sides, its very generous. Their Agua Fresca Jamaica is THE BEST! I dream about it, yummytart deliciousness. You can tell that it's house made and I liked the chewy texture of it. However, respectfully the filling felt and tasted like bean goo. I could only really taste the refried bean flavor which was strong. It kind of meshed all the components together into a gooey filling. I got this with asada meat and the meat was kind of chewy and not so flavorful on its own. Props to the tortilla though for not spilling everything out and holding it together well, but still a bit difficult to eat. I would ask for utensils when eating this dish. The green onion garnish was unique. I wish they gave more lime wedges because that helped elevate the dish. For $13 this wasn't too bad, but I'd rather get a better burrito from a street vendor. This is a casual eats type of place with both indoor and outdoor seating and tables. They also serve alcohol and even frozen alcoholic drinks. They have a free parking lot in front, but it can be competitive to get a spot. Overall, my experience here was just okay and I would opt for other spots.
