Linguine with clams in a white sauce. Clams were gone before I thought of taking a picture. Absolutely delicious!!

Stopped at Walterboro, SC for the night on our trip to Florida. Opened up my trusted Yelp App to decided on a location for a fast dinner. If you don't know, I rarely eat Italian Food out because my Mother is off the boat and my Wife and her Mother are also Italian, and excellent at preparing Italian Dishes. That and the fact that we live in an area that is rich with Italian Heritage and Restaurants, we don't take a chance on Italian Restaurants unless we know their pedigree. The Yelp for the immediate local area was not impressive, with the exception of Carmines, so we decided to give it a try. The employees were all very friendly and the service was not slow. The decor suggested that the Chef was from Italy, I asked the waitress for some background. Turns our her Father is Carmine and he was born in Italy. The food was very good and if this restaurant was located in South Philly, I am sure it would get good ratings from the locals and be a well liked establishment. We got an order of Calamari Fritti, that was nice and crisp but the portion was not very big, 4 out of 5 stars. I ordered Veal Parmigiana, I give it 3.75 out of 5, taste was a 4.5 but size was a 3, I'm used to a larger portion. My wife ordered Chicken Limone and gave it a 5 out of 5. My 2 youngest ordered, Spaghetti W/ Marinara, the pasta was Al dente and they both gave it a 4.5 out of 5. My oldest ordered, Carbonara. She does this often because she really likes Carbonara, but almost every time she is disappointed because she is used to the way my wife makes it. Of course she didn't enjoy it as much as her Mothers but she did like it, giving it a 3.5 out of 5. For dessert we got one order Tiramisu and one Cannoli. The Tiramisu was very good 4 out of 5. I'm a Cannoli snob, my favorite Cannoli is from Termini of South Philadelphia. It will be hard for any place to top that for me, I give the Cannoli 3 out of 5. The shell was a 4 and the filling was a 2. Not saying it wasn't enjoyable but it wasn't what I prefer. So, if you're traveling on 95 South, near the town of Waterboro, SC, and you're in the mood for some authentic Italian Food, I highly recommend you give Carmines a try. Oh, they close at 8pm, so get there before 7:15pm

The burratta was incredible and bruschetta porchetta was a perfect choice for someone willing to try something different. Walking in we were mesmerized by the huge gorgeous welcome tree outside followed by a very delightful hostess. Definitely recommend putting your party size online on the waitlist prior to arriving. Andrew was our waiter and he was phenomenal. Very attentive and recommended plates he'd think we would like. The chicken parm was amazing and the marinara sauce was something a nonna would make. Classic, authentic, Italian. We ended the night with espresso martinis, crème brulé and the classic tiramisu. As someone who dines in NY and NJ often, this was a taste from home and we will definitely be visiting again in the future.

The blond bartender always seems to provide service without a smile or nicety, which after multiple visits, you realize she is an unwelcoming person. Our server was very nice about it, but there was never an explanation or gesture for the wait. I know this is a family owned business and that not all days are perfect.

Every recommendation felt intentional, knowledgeable, and genuinely enthusiastic without being pushy. We started with the octopus and suppli, and both were standouts. The octopus was perfectly tender with a beautiful char, and the suppli had that ideal crisp exterior giving way to rich, creamy risotto inside. For mains, the duck agnolotti was pure comfort -- I would drink the sauce with a spoon if I could. The elk loin was cooked beautifully tender and balanced with the potato and broccolini. Make sure to be online at noon 2 weeks before to book a reservation quickly! I understand why it's such a hard place to get a reservation for but it's worth all the wait.

I was so disappointed & Julie tried everything to make things right. I know these things happen on busy nights. It's just the way it is. Overall we had a great experience and I would recommend Wild Olive. The restaurant was so busy with every table taken. So I strongly recommend book as soon as you know a date. It books up very fast.

The foodies may remember Pan E Vino from its downtown Charleston days, but owner Alfredo has brought his culinary magic to Hollywood, blessing locals with genuine Italian charm and flavor. The restaurant is housed in a beautifully repurposed old firehouse and if you look up you'll still spot the original firehouse doors on the ceiling. The space is warm and rustic with an open kitchen, dim lighting, and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. It's perfect for a romantic date night, a family dinner, or even a girls' night out. I made a reservation for our group of four as I always like to let a restaurant know I'm coming ! As of November 2025, reservations can be made easily through the restaurant's website or by phone (they're not on Resy or OpenTable ). I received confirmation by both text and email almost instantly, which made the process seamless. The staff here work incredibly hard. Our server was also handling hostess duties, but she was gracious, attentive, and made sure everything ran smoothly. For my meal, I went classic with the Spaghetti alla Bolognese which was rich, hearty, and full of flavor. I didn't leave a bite behind! I couldn't resist drizzling a little balsamic over it (because balsamic makes everything better), and it paired perfectly. I also sampled the Gnocchi alla Sorrentina, featuring soft, homemade potato dumplings baked with the same luscious Bolognese sauce and melted buffalo mozzarella. If you're torn between the spaghetti or gnocchi, you can't go wrong either way because the bolognese sauce is delicious so it just depends on your mood! To finish the night, Alfredo himself came by with a pour of his homemade limoncello , bright, smooth, and the perfect sweet ending. We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit. Pro Tip: Tuesdays are pizza nights only (no full menu), and on weekends they offer both pizza and their full selection. It's worth calling ahead if you have your heart set on a particular dish. Pan E Vino is a little slice of Italy in the country and I am here for it ! Go check them out !

For the mains we had two Pappardelle con L'Anatra (Loved how smooth the sauce was, so good), Penne alla Maremmana (also to die for), and Gnocchi alla Sorrentina. Also delicious. For dessert ya gotta have Tiramisu but they also had a unique offering of a Black Forest Cherry cake. Perfect finish with an Espresso Martini and an Amaro.
