My mother was put in the facility several months ago I have had nothing but issues with them since…read morethis has started. I even had to call the police during the coronavirus. They hadn't first given my mom a shower in over 2 1/2 months. Forgot to feed her at lunch several times. Someone needs to help her in and out of the bed to her wheel and she calls for a nurse and no one responds to her calls she could be waiting several hours to get in bed. They don't help her to the bathroom they lay her in bed and expect her to do her business but then no one comes in to take her off for several hours either. This is NOT a place to take anyone you love trust me on that.

They didn't reach out to the patients daughter when she passed.. she had to hear from a third party. And when the patient had had a bad fall prior to passing the person incharge named Jason insisted on not calling the fire department and handeling it himself which was a mistake and she couldn't get up for over 30 min and ended up getting help anyway from the firefighters. The food sucks, the patient called it a hell hole it was so bad. The laundry always went missing, the nurses take up to an hour to come when you hit the help button even for emergency!!! they are insistence we get their belongings out of her room so they can make more profit for a new patient to come in. She hated every second in this place and I'll do my best to make sure people don't go here. If you care at all for your loved ones don't take them here!!! And rest in peace to my friend always, you didn't deserve this horrid place, the food, the treatment, the rudeness. They were truly horrible To her in her final days. And now that she has passed they are still being horrible and rushing us packing up her stuff. Called that we have 2 days to do so... she just passed. :( My only positive note is that Winnie was truly special to this patient. She was caring, has patience, was kind and always a glimmer of hope for her. The true bright light and glue of this facility.

The new owner Brian is very hands on and is quick to answer calls and take care of issues. He knows all the residences very well and will sit and chat with my mom. He is very hands on in this facility. The director of nursing has been absolutely wonderful and honest and has give my mom extra attention and care when needed. The care staff is beyond kind and attentive. We had a few bumps in The road early on, but they have made up for it 10fold. They treat my mom like family and love her like their own grandmother. I'm at the facility daily checking in on my mom and so I know exactly what's happening at all times with her care. I know if my mom ever needs long term care, we have no doubt we would come here. My mom's biggest fear was having to come to a "nursing home" and now she's almost sad to have to leave. My heart is literally full with the love, care and attention my mom has received!!

Wings A through D, comprise the assisted living part, and are to the *right* after you go in the main entrance. These are apartments with kitchenettes. Wing E, is the rehab or extended care division, and is to the *left* after you go in the main entrance. These are more like hospital rooms, with just a bed, closet-and-drawers, bathroom, TV, etc., and are either private or semi-private, with a nurses station on each floor. I've been a regular visitor and it's kind of what I would expect, though I'm no expert. Nice facilities, nice grounds, friendly staff.

My is still neglected, sits in soiled adult diapers to the point of the most miserable case of diaper rash, really beyond that. She isn't bathed regularly and is left to take her medicine unsupervised and she has dementia. Please look else where for care as you'll not get any at Manor Care. I'm totally disgusted. We're moving out asap!!!

My sister is currently a resident at Maple Park. I visit a couple times per week; due to my work…read moreschedule, I usually visit early evenings and weekends. The majority of the times,I'm there; the aides function as baby sitters. sitting at the desk or other chairs minimally interacting with residents. Sometimes the TV is on but most residents are not wheeled close enough to watch or hear. Music is not played, although research clearly shows music is excellent therapy for patients with dementia, which the majority of residents suffer from. I will usually play music on my phone while there and residents visually perk up. A couple times, I've asked the aides to please put some music on to no avail. My sister is in her wheelchair all day from morning till night. When I come in, she is sitting with her head just hanging down. She is verbal and experiences minimal conversation with the aides, as they sit, observe with minimal interaction; virtual babysitting. The room is usually just dead silent. There is an activities lady who comes in during the week days and she clearly makes a wonderful difference for these dear residents. Early evenings and weekends are a depressing atmosphere at Maple Park. Ive spoken with my sister's social worker with minimal results. The aides appear bored and rarely smile with the residents. The staff at American Senior Communities in Westfield takes care of their patients, keeps the family updated, and works their best to get every last benefit you can out of Medicare and Medicaid. The facility director gave me his personal cell phone number; and the head of nursing gave me her cell phone number as well. You will always be able to reach someone. It is a wonderful facility, that will take great care of your family member. One of my dad's nurses actually sketched a picture of him, and shared it with me; she truly cared for my father. I will take excellent care over pretty rooms any day.
