They hadn't first given my mom a shower in over 2 1/2 months. Forgot to feed her at lunch several times. Someone needs to help her in and out of the bed to her wheel and she calls for a nurse and no one responds to her calls she could be waiting several hours to get in bed. They don't help her to the bathroom they lay her in bed and expect her to do her business but then no one comes in to take her off for several hours either. This is NOT a place to take anyone you love trust me on that.

Low rating applies to operations outside of medical staff. Room cleaning only happened when it was requested. No fault of cleaning personnel, they were severely short staffed. Food was decent but getting the order correct happened about 50% of the time. Procurement failed to order correct products, such as briefs that fit. Thank god for Amazon. At home medical equipment was not ordered in time for discharge, caused additional expense and a bad experience. Overall the health related goals were met and went home improved, so if you can deal with the other stuff, might be a good fit.

Our father had fallen and fractured a hip and was admitted to another rehabilitation center where he did not do well. Sadly, did pass away even after amazing & compassionate care at Riverwalk Village (RW). The facilities are not necessarily top end and are a touch aged, but are very clean, orderly and well maintained. What really differentiated the care he received was the positive patient (&family) centered approach the whole staff maintains. Even after falling into a coma I witnessed staff still addressing my Dad by his name and speaking tenderly with him to check vitals and the like. The staff also did an amazing job of pivoting to a hospice care model with little time to plan and included outreach to a Catholic priest for anointing of the sick/last rights services. RW was recommended to us by our father's care team at his acute care hospital for their top notch wound care. From what we experienced and witnessed, I would highly recommend the facility. A special thanks to the following team members who made such a special impact our father's last days and made the family grieving process bearable.
