To quality of hair products that she used to her construction of my hair she was truly an artist. She also applied a mineral base make-up that made my skin glow! I didn't have a "negative" service at this salon but it was "mediocre" at best, especially for the…read morecost. This salon is easily $100-$125 more expensive just because of the area it's in, keep that in mind. Overall, I would give my hair a 6 out of 10 and my experience a 4 out of 10. I got a partial "balayage" and hair cut, and at this point I know that some salons don't do actual hair painting, it's basically sporadically placed color, and while the color itself is fine, I don't anticipate this growing out as well as it has other times I've gotten my hair done - I can tell because I've been getting my hair done for 20+ years at this point so that's a little unfortunate. But aside from this, I would have appreciated if she let me know she was charging me for more color - other salons haven't done this as often, but they do let me know when they do. Even with full "balayage" at other places, I haven't always been charged for more color so this was unexpected. Even if she just gave me a heads up though, I would have appreciated it. The haircut was very basic and simple even though I asked for long layers. The blow dry was also "okay" - I ended up going home and adding more volume into it myself. Most importantly though - the stylist was not engaging at all. I'm a new customer, she didn't ask anything about me. Made no effort to put in conversation with me. It is so unlike any experience I've had at a hair salon. I even asked her questions to get the ball rolling and there was barely anything back. 3-4 hours in a salon chair is a long time for such lack of conversation, it's very disappointing. Like I said - my experience wasn't "bad" or "horrible" but I am not going back and I would not recommend the salon.

Unfortunately, I left feeling like I could have achieved the same result at home myself. At this price point, I expected more attention to detail, warmth, and overall service.

A few times when I'd get break outs I thought of seeking help but the bad memories of my last facial person would stop me. This time my face was out of control, I felt those itchy swollen things coming all over...I am going through a lot of stress and I knew that nothing I could do would help. I was incredibly lucky to find Christine, she is gentle but totally effective, she showed genuine concern about my skin, her "magic" room is fully equipped, clean, and comfortable. I remember that most times I'd go get a facial I'd be nagged for not taking care of my skin the same way a cosmetician would; instead of that, Christine showed me sympathy and gave me thorough orientation. She also answered all my questions patiently. She didn't try to sell me into the products she uses (even though they felt amazing) instead she looked at my own skin care products and told me why they were good and if I should use them all. Her prices are very affordable despite her unquestionable professionalism and her establishment is nicer than some others I've been too. I left quite satisfied with my facial and with a promise to come back, as long as Christine is in Monterrey I'll have to come back to town to pay her a visit every once in a while.
