My daughter and myself booked Lilian for my daughter's wedding in Big Sur. My daughter was having hair and makeup which came out fantastic. I was only having makeup done. We traveled from New Jersey. I took my shower 5:00 am only to discover I forgot my styling mousse. Needless to say my hair was horrible. Lilian said no problem we have enough time and did my hair also. I was so happy I forgot my mousse, she did an awesome job on my hair a style I would not think of and I loved it. read more

Liliana was such a wonderful makeup artist, I knew after touring her portfolio that she could achieve the look I wanted for my wedding. We did a trial and she completely nailed it. Day of she did my hair and makeup and the hair of my 3 bridesmaids and everything looked stunning. She also came highly recommended by both my wedding coordinator Dawn, and the venue, WaterFall Lodge & Retreat. If you are getting married in the Big Sur, Santa Cruz, and Carmel areas I highly recommend Liliana. read more

Liliana did my hair and makeup for my wedding as well as two of my bridesmaids. She was so professional but beyond that, extremely kind and made all of us feel very comfortable. Her energy is very calming from the moment I reached out to her for a quote and everything leading up to my wedding. She was very confident in her skill and I appreciated that! It made me feel confident in her, too and that is so important especially on your wedding day. She also has a gift for understanding what you want and delivers pretty perfect results! I never got the chance to send her hair and makeup inspo pics until the day of my wedding and she nailed it! We also didn't get to do a trial run because I live in San Diego and my wedding was all the way in Monterey. But even then, she nailed it! My hair stayed all night long in perfect curls! One of my bridesmaids has pin straight, beautiful soft hair, but it can never hold a curl. I don't know what Liliana did but those curls held up through a solid 7 hours during the wedding and longer! And her hair didn't look stiff with a ton of hairspray either which is a testament to Liliana's skill! Speaking of hairspray, I wanted soft classic curls, -very old Hollywood. I felt like I was asking Liliana to do the impossible with how I wanted my hair to look exactly, especially with no trial run...which I know always runs the risk but I live a good distance away. Regardless, I was amazed how Liliana was able to understand exactly what I wanted and give me exactly that! I had an issue with my wedding dress not fitting properly and I was having a meltdown! Liliana stepped right in to help me adjust the top of my dress and make everything look so much better! This girl came prepared with everything from tools to skills! I could go on an on about her, everyone absolutely loved her and we all wish we could take her home to San Diego with us! She is a gem and everything you could want and didn't know you needed in a makeup artist! I highly recommend her for your wedding day or any special occasion reason if you're in the area. Thank you again, Liliana for your talent and being you! read more

Liliana and her team were awesome to work with! I absolutely loved my bridal hair and makeup as well as my bridesmaids. Highly recommend!

Liliana did my hair and makeup for my wedding in Ben Lomond. I did do the trial a few weeks before the wedding and I'm glad I did. We made some modifications for big day and I absolutely loved everything. Liliana made me feel comfortable giving my opinion and I think that made the difference. Liliana did my hair and make up for my wedding and she was amazing! She understood what I wanted and made me feel beautiful. I had done a trial a few weeks beforehand; I felt beautiful after my trial and Liliana somehow made me look even better on the wedding day. She is very kind, talented, and really takes account what you want and any feedback that you have. I've had make up done for other events and I always end up wiping it off but not with Liliana. I wish I lived closer so I can hire her to do my hair and make up for everything! Thank you Liliana! read more

Liliana was such a joy to work with! She did my hair and makeup for my wedding, and she and her assistant did the hair and makeup for my bridal party. Our hair and makeup looked beautiful and lasted all day! She was very accommodating and I was able to have my hair and makeup trial with her the morning of my engagement photoshoot. I had some ideas of what I was looking for, and she did a wonderful job listening to what I wanted while also having professional feedback and suggestions of her own. The end result was stunning! I loved that on my wedding day she drew inspiration from a flower color in my bouquet and, after asking if I was ok with it, used a very close match for my lip color. It was such a thoughtful tweak to make it that much more coordinated and special. Liliana and her team were friendly, attentive, professional, and their equipment was clean and sanitized. I would highly recommend her! Thank you again Liliana! read more

I got my hair and makeup done by Liliana for my maternity photoshoot. Liliana was able to create a look for me that worked perfectly with the different outfits I planned to wear for the photoshoot. Absolutely loved how versatile my hair and makeup turned out and worked so well with both, Indian and Western clothing. The photographer was also very impressed by my hair and makeup. Additionally she took all the necessary COVID precautions to ensure both of our safety. read more

Liliana did my hair and makeup for my wedding, and let me tell you - it was just STUNNING!!! I don't wear much makeup so I looked to her for recommendations on a soft and natural look, and she absolutely knocked it out of the park. We did a trial a few weeks before my wedding, and she took my feedback on what I liked and didn't like in order to perfect my look for my big day. My hair is super thick and typically doesn't hold curls well, but Liliana worked some magic and got my hair and makeup to last all day and night - It still looked fabulous 12 hours later! Also to top it all off, Liliana was also so sweet and so great with my mom. Would highly recommend!!! read more

Liliana is a goddess!!! I can't say enough good things about her! She's extremely responsive, reliable, timely, all of which are extremely calming when you're stressing in the final days leading up to the big day! I have A LOT of very long, fine hair, so it's heavy, and difficult to keep a curl. I'm still swooning over my hair!!! It was everything I could dream of!!! Thanks again, Liliana!!! Liliana is the best hair/makeup stylist! She did my wedding hair and makeup and it was everything I imagined! Liliana is the sweetest person, she listens to what you want and gives her advice if you are unsure on what would look best. She has a great eye for hair and makeup and uses amazing products. She was able to put in my clip on extensions so easily and my curls held all night. She used fake eyelashes on me and airbrushed my foundation. I have gotten airbrush before where I didn't like it but this time it was really light and dewy! Everything highlighted my natural looks and I still felt like me on my wedding day! I am really picky on my hair/makeup and usually don't like the end result when I get it professionally done. With Liliana I was in love with the results! Her and her assistant came and did my, my mom's, and 4 bridesmaid's hair/makeup and everyone loved their looks! Her prices are very reasonable for the quality and compared to other stylists in the area. Our pictures are beautiful! I was able to schedule a trial with her which was really helpful! But book her quickly because she will book up! I tried to use her last year in 2020 but she was booked monthsss in advance for my wedding date. I had a wonderful experience working with Liliana for my wedding. Her communication was clear and prompt leading up to the big day, and from the moment she arrived to do hair and make up, I felt comfortable and relaxed. Liliana did my hair and makeup for my elopement in Big Sur this week, and I was so impressed by her skills, her calm presence, and her kindness. I have never had my makeup done professionally and did not do a trial beforehand and she made me feel so comfortable. She explained what she was doing step by step, gave me opportunities to provide input on colors and other decisions, and let me write down the names of products she was using along the way. It was like a mini makeup lesson! She also let me look at myself periodically to make sure I was liking the look. And I have never looked or felt more beautiful! My makeup was gorgeous. And my makeup and intricate braided updo lasted all day despite windy and salty weather along the coast. My fiancé exclaimed that I looked gorgeous when he first saw me. Liliana did an amazing job with my MOH, MOB and my bridal hair and makeup for my June wedding. She was great at communicating with me during the wedding planning process and setup on time at our bridal suite at our venue. She is so easy to talk to and wore her mask the whole time as well which I appreciated as a nurse. She made a schedule a few weeks before our wedding about the order of hair and makeup for my bridal party and even was accommodating by adding on my sister-in-law for applying lashes last minute at the end. She went step-by-step with our hair and makeup to make sure we loved it. She is so talented and professional. I couldn't be more happier with my hair and makeup - we couldn't stop looking at ourselves the whole day! Our curls and makeup lasted all day thanks to Liliana. I booked Liliana for my Santa Cruz wedding last weekend & I was so thrilled with her work. She did both my hair and make-up. My hair is super straight. The only thing more difficult than getting my hair to curl is getting those curls to stay in my hair longer than 30 minutes. Liliana made it happen, my curls stayed throughout the ceremony & the reception which were both outdoors. My makeup looked amazing as well. Liliana worked with me to make sure everything was just the way I like it for my special day!! She was on time, her pricing is very fair & she is super sweet & a pleasure to have around!! read more

Lilian Beauty - Hair & makeup by Lilian Beauty (floral headpiece handmade by the mother of the bride). - Makeup Artists Near Me

I booked Liliana for my elopement this past March. I'm from Southern CA but my ceremony was in the Santa Cruz mountains, so I was a little nervous about having to book someone in an area I wasn't familiar with. However, since our first contact, Liliana was very responsive via email and answered all of my questions very thoroughly. I booked a trial run which was very helpful as I got to meet her a month before and we discussed my ideal look for the ceremony. As someone who doesn't wear too much makeup, I wanted something soft and natural, which she accomplished so well! What I enjoyed about Liliana is that she was open to feedback and when I asked her to change something or add something, she was very open to it and never made me feel pressured to do things a certain way. On the day of the ceremony, Liliana was on time and prepared. She did hair and makeup for my older sister as well, which my sister also loved. My sister was hesitant to hire a hair stylist because of her big, unruly hair, but Liliana was able to work with it and it came out great. She was very happy with it and everyone gave her compliments. I would definitely work with Liliana again and highly recommend her! read more

Not only did she walk me through different shades of eyeshadow color, different look (dewy, matte, glow, etc), she also ensure that the look matches my dress! My husband and I had an elopement photo shoot in Big Sur. We are from San Diego so I didn't have any recommendations for a hair and MUA in the Big Sur / Monterey area. I found Liliana through Yelp and I am so happy I did. Liliana was very responsive and took precautionary steps especially for COVID. She travelled to my hotel and did my makeup. I felt very safe because she was wearing a face mask and shield and also reassured me that she sanitized all of the makeup brushes prior to my appointment. The makeup felt very light on my face. At first I felt weird because I was not used to having fake eyelashes on, but my makeup came out amazing. The makeup looks very natural in the photos and I am very grateful to have found Liliana especially during these difficult times of a pandemic. I hired Liliana to do my hair & makeup as well as for my 2 bridesmaids, my sister and my niece for my wedding. I did one trial with her a few months ahead of time and we made some adjustments on my wedding day. I was extremely happy with how my hair and makeup turned out on my special day, and my ladies all looked beautiful. Liliana does a really great job of listening to what the client wants and doesn't take anything personally, which I really appreciated. I can be nit-picky when it comes to my appearance (as I'm sure most brides are!) and Liliana was calm and cool and just a pleasure to work with. She was also a really good value, which was greatly appreciated when everything related to weddings is SO expensive. Highly recommend her! read more

I had quite a negative experience that led me to search for a different stylist, regarding not giving me notice of price increase about 2 months before my wedding. Communication was great via email, she gives me her prices and we go forward with it. Then the new year rolls in (the year of my wedding), I set up and attended my trial which I also paid for (4 months before the wedding). I receive my contact to sign 2 1/2 months before the wedding, only to find out the prices were higher than what I was originally quoted. Adding up to nearly $400 more. The response to my questioning of this was that the prices changed after the new year and "sorry I should have told you during the trial". Lilianna was not willing to honor the prices she originally provided. So just a heads up, don't count on the prices she originally gives you. They may change at any moment. Have a back up plan for this because weddings aren't cheap. read more

Liliana was incredible to work with. My wife and I look very different with very different hair and we both got our hair and makeup done for our wedding this September - we were so happy with how we looked and we felt relaxed on our big day knowing we were in capable hands. Liliana had us over at her nice in-home studio the week of the wedding to do a trial run. She did a great job at our trial run but she did an even better job of listening to our feedback and perfecting her approach for our actual wedding day - where she came to our hotel with all her gear and an assistant and did hair and makeup for us as well as 6 other family members! We cannot stress enough how important it was to do a trial run. It just took out all the anxiety and guesswork on the day of - we knew we were going to look great. So, yes, hire Liliana right away! I do not wear make up or do my hair very often at all. Maybe once a year. I am a tomboy with jeans and teeshirts. I was silly and waited until the last week before our work holiday party that was at the SJ Fairmont before looking around for who would do my hair and make up. It was actually more difficult than I thought as everyone was already booked (oops). Thank goodness Liliana was available! She got me in at exact day and time I needed. It took the exact time of 2 hours to finish me up, so I was not late! Liliana made me feel very, very comfortable. She wanted to see what I was wearing that night, including the dress and jewelry. She let me wear some comfy slippers during the whole process. She asked me what I was looking for. I told her it was pretty much up to her, but I have been told that browns and natural colors go well with my skin tone. So we talked about all sorts of stuff as she was doing my make up, she told me everything she was doing to me, smoothing out my skin tone, what she was doing with my eyes, and this included eyelashes, which I have never worn in my life! It took a while to get used to, but they looked fantastic when they settled. All sorts of colors went together great! Golds and Bronzes. (I have green eyes, they popped!) The make up took 3/4 of the time, it was a shocker! But she sat me down on another seat and we talked about what I would like. I told her I would love to have it up, and I loved the braiding she has done with others. I was hoping my hair was long enough to get some. She did a terrific job with my hair! Braids on both side, and a French bob on the back. When I got to the party, no one recognized me! SERIOUSLY! Even now, a couple weeks later, people say how pretty I was! I will calling Liliana again when I have any need for makeup or hair! -J read more
