    This review is solely based on the car selling experience and not buying. Seriously, I do not think I could have envisioned having a better car selling experience than the one I had when I sold my used vehicle to the CarMax here in East Haven. The process was straightforward, quick and everything I didn't think it would be. When I was looking for a buyer for my old, beat up car that I had owned for 12 years, I struggled to figure where I would sell it. At first, I tried sites such as autotrader.com, but the offers coming in were not trustworthy and from random dealerships that were not very responsive. After speaking with someone I knew about their selling experience at another CarMax, I decided to look up the closest CarMax and give them a try. Unlike other used car dealerships, CarMax will buy your car with a no hassle/non-negotiable offer on paper, which sort of makes it easier at the end of the day knowing that they give a "take or leave it" offer and the offer is good for 7 days. If you don't like the offer, you don't have to take it and can shop your car elsewhere. As for this location, the process described was exactly as advertised. I had come in once for an appraisal, but due to a technicality on my car title (as a result of the DMV's mistake), I had to go to the DMV to update it and come back. So I brought my car in with no appointment for a 2nd time, walked in and let a sales associate, Edis, know that I was seeking a new appraisal to sell my car. Edis was extremely friendly and he sat me down, took down all of my car information and someone immediately appraised the vehicle. Within 45 minutes, I was given an offer, proceeded to accept it, signed a few documents (including my car title) and left with a check for my vehicle. JUST LIKE THAT. It was that easy! I wish I had a more interesting story, but that was all there was to it. On top of it, because I had to go to the DMV to have my car title updated to correct the technicality, the general manager, Roddick, offered to pay the fee to have my car title updated. I know my experience sounds too good to be true, but everything worked out beautifully. Typically, no one likes to go to a used car dealership, and I'm one of them, but if you're looking to sell your vehicle, I would highly recommend looking into CarMax because the process is as straightforward as it gets and their sales associates are very helpful in walking you through it. And for anyone who lives in NYC, like myself, unfortunately this is the closest CarMax location, which is about 2-2.5 hours away, but if you want a no hassle experience with selling your car, it's worth the drive to East Haven.

    CarMax never disappoints! This is our 2nd purchase with them in 3 years. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The purchasing process is simple and efficient, totally takes the stress out of buying car. All the cars are in excellent condition & super clean! The no haggling purchasing style is very appealing to us. The manager introduced himself to us and was very friendly and appreciative of our repeat business. We will continue to support CarMax with our future vehicle needs.

    Bryan was very helpful, kept me updated throughout. Yes their cars are overpriced, but it's sorta worth it. Bryan was able to reimburse me for repairs I had to make outside of the warranty policy.

    Horrible experience stay away from this place they do nothing but waste your time and lie about your trade so they can scam u Take it from me I'm a car ase master auto technician The women yes women that inspected my Mercedes Benz claimed I had aftermarket brakes and took off at least 4000.00 of the real trade in value The car has the original OEM brakes but I installed enhancement covers over the calipers that are removable and the clown thought they were not original brakes Obviously there not knowledgeable at all!!     Definitely not your typical car buying experience!…read more I found a car here online that I was very interested in seeing and set up an appointment with Caroline. The next day I drove two hours from out of state to view and test drivr the car in person. When I arrived, Caroline greeted me and mentioned they were putting new brakes and rotors on the front and that it would be ready very soon to drive. As it was close to lunchtime, the employees were all setting up a group order from a fast food restaurant, and after Caroline learned that I was a huge pizza fan she personally ordered and bought me a large pie from a local spot. Who does that? One of the sweetest genuine people and what a super thoughtful gesture. She said I needed a large to take some home for my family to try. I proceeded to have lunch with the staff in their break room and enjoyed great conversation - mind you I have not purchased the car, let alone test drove it- and they were treating me like an old friend! At one point I joked that I would just come back daily for lunch! After a belly-full I test drove the car and Caroline made sure to let me feel the car on the hwy as well as city streets. I got to meet the owner (Phil) as well, and the hospitality continued throughout. After making the purchase, Phil said he could pick me up from the train station if I wanted to come back up to drive it home. I decided on shipping it, and Caroline went above and beyond to find a shipper and help coordinate- something that was not even their responsibility! She was extremely thorough and organized all the documents I needed including the papers for titling in my state. There was a delay in shipping partially due to the holiday weekend but Caroline continued to help by putting pressure on the shippers and even seeking potential alternatives if needed- amazing A+++ service! Folks- this place overflows with customer service. From the first second that I walked in til the moment I left, everyone I saw greeted me, spoke with me, made sure I was comfortable and contributed to the most stress-free car buying afternoon ever. Sell them your car, buy a car, have them locate a car for you- whatever you do, it is worth the visit! So refreshing to see a no haggle, no pressure, genuine experience in today's age.

From the initial phone call to driving off the lot, the employees were professional, accommodating, and kind. They were transparent and we felt no pressure in the friendly, warm environment. We were given the time we needed to discuss our options with Dennis, the sales manager. He helped us make a decision and there were no hidden fees. Dennis went out of his way to find a vehicle on the lot so we could drive away with it the same day. There were no Tuscons on the lot that matched what we were looking for, so Dennis found a higher model and gave us an exceptional deal. The sales and leasing consultant, Tyler, was very patient with us. He was extremely knowledgeable and spent time making sure that we felt comfortable. Tyler really seemed to prioritize a relationship with us, rather than just making a sale. He communicated with the service department, making sure our car was ready for us as fast as possible. Tyler spent time reviewing the car with us and going over all the features. He reached out the day after we got the car to ensure we were comfortable with the vehicle and its features, as well as setting us up on the Bluelink app so we could use all the technology that is available to Hyundai owners. Rafael, the business manager, went through the financing we us, making the most stressful part of the day when buying or leasing a car much more comfortable. He provided all the information to us in a clear manner, and just as he had with our last purchase, Rafael felt more like a friend than a businessman while still remaining professional. We left feeling comfortable and very happy with our lease agreement. My husband and I would absolutely recommend Brandfon as the dealership to use when buying a Hyundai. Our experience was excellent from start to finish. They handled us with a kindness and professionalism that is hard to find in the car industry.     My 2017 Elantra engine light came on as I happened to be driving by so I thought I'd stop in to see…read moreif they had an opening for service. To be honest, I have been noticing very slight hesitation for maybe a month. They took the car in right away and scanned it. Two issues were identified in the scan. The service rep sat down with me and had a chat about the issues. No pressure and she was very nice. They were able to take care of one issue right away and ordered parts for the other (2 days.) Overall, the experience was very good. I was wondering if they were going to suggest engine and cabin air filters as I had replaced them recently myself. They did not :-)
