As a graphic artist, I frequently take a step back and try to look through other people's eyes. I…read morehave built an entire career with my artistic vision, interpreting and presenting information for other people to see clearly. The tables turned after I was bit by a poisonous spider whose venom caused damaged to my optic nerve. Suddenly I was the person needing visual reinforcement. I turned to Yelp to locate an exceptional doctor and found Dr. Hutchinson. I was reluctant to accept the fact that my eyes are no longer 10/20 and need prescription glasses to see all of the details around me. It took me over a month after a vision test to return and place my order. The enthusiastic staff at Pacific View Eyecare center helped me pick out frames that work with my features that I feel good about wearing. These glasses arrived and it was not the fairy-tale ending that I had hoped for. I tried using them but something was amiss so I returned for a fitting. Doctor Hutchinson brought me in the back and performed a myriad of tests to make sure that everything was perfect and discovered that an error had been made. They are replacing my lenses with no questions asked. Unexpected situations can bring out the best or the worst in people, and Pacific View Eyecare center handled this situation with grace. I am glad that I turned to my helpful fellow Yelp friends to help me select an eyecare center.

Yikes this has been sitting in my drafts…read more... Came here because my youngest son's friend was an optometrist here. Kept coming after he retired and while the other doctor was nice there were issues. A data breach at Total Vision which Pacific View Eyecare is part of occurred on October 30, 2020. Letters to patients were dated December 4, 2020 and sent via bulk mail so weren't received until sometime in January 2021. Instead of offering a free year of credit monitoring as most places do when an identity security data breach occurs, Total Vision's solution was to recommend getting a free annual credit report.

It was truly remarkable how fast she swapped them out and brought them back out to us. Clean as new too! My son is 9 and autistic and Liz is so caring and patient. It means so much that she cares so much. My glasses were snug and give me a headache after 1/2 a day and she was able to adjust them on the spot. Man I should have brought them in sooner! They are the purple ones she suggested. It's not my favorite color but she was right, they suit me, I get so many compliments how they bring out my green eyes. Good eye Liz! And now I can enjoy them pain free! Love this place so much I just switched to this office for my eye exams too! Originally I was going to another place that see our kids, which is fine but they see mostly kids and they switched to Ai for their answering service (I loath Ai). At Eye Style you reach an actual person. If they are on a call it will tell you what number you are in line, I've always heard #1 in line and it's not a long wait at all. Looking forward to seeing you all in January!

When I scheduled the appointment initially I asked for a medical eye exam only. A few days later I changed my mind and called (had to leave a message) to add the refractive exam too. I requested a call back to confirm receipt of my message. I never got one. On the day of my appointment I check in and paid for the refractive exam. When I was taken back into the exam room the OD and technician both became rude when I tried to explain I requested both exams a week before my appointment. I felt I was pushed to the back burner for punishment for not letting them know ahead of time, which was not the case. Also, there was some issue going on with a patient that required a rotating team of clinic personnel to address, but as discussions were taking place the exam room door was open the whole time and the conversations clearly audible. I came to Tayani following an OD I had seen before, I'm not sure why because he does not have a very good chairside manner. I will not be going back to this clinic.
