I had a long drive from Chico to Oroville and now to Williams to visit my friend. Plus I had my puppy with me! I ordered the breakfast burger. It actually was pretty decent...it had a burger ..egg..hash brown and bacon inside. Could only eat half of it! I was hungry after swimming this morning and this hit the spot! Clean location. This Carl's Jr is a solid rest area spot with decent food, kind staff, and a clean bathroom. The food was made fresh to order, and the staff were kind enough to bring out the tray to us once it was ready. I would like to echo another reviewer's comment though about too much sauce--my burger definitely had too much sauce and the patty slipped out of the burger when going for my first bite. Does Carl's Jr. is awesome. The best part about it is the manager Stacy. She is so nice and hard-working and professional. They always offer me sauce here which is so important to me and the food always comes out very good. I really like their cold drinks and my boyfriend really likes her burgers. read more

Employees need more training to ensure correct patties are used for burgers or they want to use the cheaper patties to short customers. Inconsistent quality of food and slow service. read more

Not a common stop but some of the burgers are so worth it. Love the fried zucchini in season. Love the tacos and nuggets, but really enjoy the Calif burger. Have a couple locations but this one stood out because of the staff. Service was fast, accurate and as ordered. Hot and fresh. Hats off to the folks here they do drive up really well read more

We stopped here for dinner on the way home after a road trip. Place was right off the freeway. Everything was super. Place was clean and service was good, food came out fast and was hot and tasty. I had a BBQ chicken sandwich and side salad, and the salad was super fresh and cold and crisp. It could not have been better! Seriously. My sandwich was big and tasted great, too! I loathe doing reviews of fast food, there isn't a high expectation- but there is a minimum standard that people expect from these establishments. Why are they sooooo slow here?? All workers are moving at snails pace. This is FAST FOOD, folks!!! We waited about 10 mins to place our order with only 2 people in front of us. This carl's jr isn't as bad as the reviews say. The bathrooms are definitely a scene out of a Saw film, wouldn't recommend a #2. There were a few flies buzzing around, but in their defence me and my companion smelled like a couple sweaty frat boy's from Chico State after a weekend of questionable decisions. Worst Carl's I've been to. Fries were old and appeared to have been bathed in the fryer a few times.. The meat in my Superstar burger was tough and chewy, and the buns were old and dry. DON'T EAT HERE!!! Stopped off for lunch on a trip north and regretted it. Asked to substitute zucchini for fries, said "we can't do that"; whatever happened to "what the customer wants"? Every other place we've eaten at, including other Carl's Jr.'s, HAVE done that, only charging you the difference, not making you get a combo AND a full-price side...They didn't serve breakfast sandwiches either, and no visible notice stating that. Husband was getting peeved and went across the street just to get something decent, so this place lost out on a $7+ order. Zucchini we did get tasted funny/chalky, the bathrooms were disgraceful-smelled musty, floors looked like they hadn't been cleaned since the place was built. Will NEVER stop there again, and would highly suggest anyone wanting good service, food, and clean bathrooms go elsewhere. read more

I'm not a big fast food person, but every so often, the need will arise. Recently I had to travel north due to a family emergency that struck very quickly, so quickly that I had no time at all to prepare. Around the time that I hit the half way point, Williams, I realized that I desperately needed some food. I figured, what the heck, I'll go to Carl's Jr since it's close to I5. Considering that it's a fast food place next to a busy highway that sees a high volume of visitors each day, it's better than you might expect. It's fairly clean, the wait staff are friendly-ish, and the wait time isn't too long. It's certainly not the Ritz, but one could be doing worse. On the other hand, the food blows. Rather, the burger I ordered was vile. Keeping in mind that I was already in "What the heck" mode, I figured I'd try their Midnight Moonshine burger. This was my first mistake. My second mistake was eating half of that foul thing before giving up. Truly, this burger is a crime against nature: a sweet and way too vinegary BBQ sauce poured onto an overcooked beef patty, garnished with the worst leaves of a head of lettuce, and, finally, served on a bun that had seen better days several days previous. I'm not certain how the blame quite parses out, but at least some (if not most) can be directed directly at the larger corporate body. Overall, this place is skippable. read more

This was supposed to be quick stop. Bathroom and a quick bite. Granzella's is awesome for pit stops but it is distrcting. The dining area was tidy but needed some deep cleaning. Dark spots under cooking equipment looked like the mop never made it that far. The bathroom was grosser than a truck stop. It had been a while since superficial cleaning and a long time since it was done right. Garbage cans outside overflowing. All this on a lonely Tuesday morning. I won't be back. August 4, 5:00 pm. Sheriff stop to get something to eat on his way to assist with the Fires. He orders a #4 burger, fries, drink. When is order is delivered it is a single hamburger, Period. He tells the server he ordered a #4, that comes with fries and he didn't get them. Server asks for his receipt. He through it away. Server won't believe him and starts to walk off after being very rude. Officer asks to speak to the manager. Manager never shows up. Won't go to this Carl's Jr. ever again. There is a Taco Bell across the street, a Togo's across the street, a Straw hat Pizza across the freeway and a McDonald's there also. Who need a place that does not honor our Sheriff's, or police? Definitely the worst Carl's Jr. we've ever been to. Stopped by on our way back to LA from Seattle and after talking about how good it sounded this one was the closest one to us unless we wanted to back track. (1 hr. 15min.) Lets start by saying the bathrooms weren't as bad as gas station restrooms but they were close. Smelled just as bad toilets were definitely not being cleaned regularly. Second the service. We waited for two people to receive their orders before us even though they ordered after and after they left then i hear them asking if the cooks in the back got the order or not and come to find out they didn't start. The fries they prep and let sit under a light until someone orders them. The manager I'm guessing (only lady in a black shirt) i saw wiping her hands all over her pants and shirt and wiping her face then she touched the fries we ordered with bare hands. Worst Carl Jr. I have ever had. Could have just been a bad night but man My patty was like cardboard also had cheese on it even though I asked for no cheese. Good thing my Burger was so cold the cheese hasn't melted so I could just take it off. My husbands chicken strips were like little sticks of chicken jerky. Stopped here on trip North. At 7:00 pm the place was deserted and the lobby smelled like vomit. I am not joking, I wanted to pick up a quick burger and go, but as I stood in front of the counter trying to determine the sour smell, I noticed the beverage machine had a puddle of soda on the floor in front with a cup on the floor. 08/04- If I could give a -10 star I SO WOULD. Although I was not with my husband when this happened, I will NEVER come to this establishment. My husband being called last minute to help with the fires since he is a sheriff's deputy, he forgot to get food before leaving. So he decided to give this place a try. He ordered a #4 combo meal. When he didnt get exactly what he ordered, they REFUSED to help. And mind you, they were inside when they ordered and the workers knew EXACTLY what they ordered. And still were very rude about the whole thing. Being in uniform you would think that they are in a hurry and need to be somewhere. NOPE apparently not for the rude workers here. When he explained AGAIN what happened, and need I remind you he only wanted the order of fries that he wasn't given, they told him no. OVER FRIES. So he decides to ask for the manager cause at this point this is absolutley ridiculous that they would be as rude as they have been. So what do they do? IGNORE HIM. This was one of the most disgusting bathrooms that I have ever been inside. There was feces all over the toilets, and bloody napkins on the floor. Clearly they don't clean their bathrooms every hour like they are supposed to. I highly recommend going somewhere else to eat. I don't ordinarily review fast food restaurants. They tend to be boring and pretty consistent, but this place is a dump. Service was good, but the restaurant was full of flies which pestered us continually. We changed tables, but the flies were everywhere. The salads were fine but my cheeseburger was stale and barely warm. If they were following guidelines, that burger would have been tossed long before they served it. The restroom was filthy.
