I got home and savored my fries. And to make sure, I broke the beef patty into several pieces and saw that it was cooked thoroughly. I put the meat back in the bun and enjoyed a safe, tasty hamburger. They care about their customer. They even offered me a cup of water while I waited for my food. Daughter and I needed a nice lunch and a break from some stressful stuff going on. She's mostly gluten free, and Carl's is great for accommodating that with their lettuce wrapped burgers. (she needed to get a few stars for old time's sake...and the person at the counter got her 4 stars since she didn't want more than that. So helpful and friendly! The staff that is.) I love that Carl's brings your food out to you. Their drink machine has the extended flavor options. Everything was clean...the machine, the tables, around the garbage bins...I really appreciated seeing it taken care of. Food was awesome. Love their burgers. The ones here were cooked correctly (the one near me keeps overcooking...it's sad) and the fries were straight out of the frier. Yum. Crispy and delicious. We enjoyed the high top seat in the window and it was relatively quiet so we could talk. The bathroom was clean and easy to find. This restaurant has been great the past two times I have ordered food. Their burgers are never soggy or sloppy. The vegetables used in their burgers are crisp and ripe. Their chicken stars are always tender never stale. I get it, it's a chain place however the staff that work here put some effort into making the meals delicious. Let's begin with customer service. Obviously the man who was taking orders was irked he had to. I listened to him take the order before mine and the order after mine. All 3 of us were privileged enough to catch attitude from him. When he processed the card, he handed it back to me while turning the other direction and it was almost dropped onto the ground. The fries were greasy, cold and soggy. Obviously they have been there for quite some time. They were barely warm as well. The hamburger I ordered must've been sitting for some time because it was squashed in the bun has soaked up all of the catch-up and mustard. The lettuce was wilted and black around the edges. If I wasn't so tired I would have taken it back. This is just one more reason why I don't do fast food. The fries were greasy, cold and soggy. Obviously they have been there for quite some time. So I went in today because me and my fiance wanted Carl's Jr and this Carl's Jr is normally good. I order the food, noticed that they charged me for an angus famous star when I asked for the double famous star. I decide to try a bite of it and didn't end up liking it so I asked them if they are able to get me the double instead. The lady offered a refund for the burger and to remake the burger as well. I declined the refund because a couple dollars extra wasn't a big deal to me but asked for the burger remade so she said yes. We wait 10+ minutes for no burger, go to the front counter and ask them. I overhear them complaining about me for some reason, and the lady comes over to the counter saying I need to give them the burger back and they can get me the remake. Mind you I already threw the food and everything in the trash because no one told me I needed the burger to give back to them. They declined making me anything so I decided to just leave. I for one will not be coming back, only Carl's Jr in RidgeCrest and they can't even offer good customer service. Ridiculous! read more

Bad news. They started an automated order taker at the drive thru. It got every single item wrong. I was able to correct things at the window by starting from scratch, but they still got some things wrong. And for the first time I can remember there were several cars waiting at the drive thru so the confusion is causing fast food to become slow food. The fast food industry is going to fail. I feel sorry for the employees -- not their fault. Casual dining restaurant are now not only better, but cheaper. read more

Well if anyone's gonna get anything wierd in their food it's gonna be me. Fortunately this time it was my drink and my wife noticed something in my cup before I took a swig. Apparently an internal part of plastic broke off inside of the ice maker and dropped down with my ice. A 2"x2" right triangle of hard black plastic with one sharp edge. My wife saw something black in my cup of soda. I turned the broken plastic over to staff and notified them. They were baffled by the ordeal but gave me a replacement cup to be on safe side. Not their fault but they need new equipment because now both machines are broken. Order of food was made to order and in fast time. Still recommend and will be back. read more

What happened to Carl's Jr? Did The owner of McDonalds in Ridgecrest buy out Carl's Jr? Carl's Jr French fries went from Crispy to a Soggy mess, just like McDonalds French fries. They even taste the same as McDonalds soggy French fries. What happened to their hamburgers? The bun was soggy. The single leaf of lettuce was soggy. Even the meat was soggy and falling apart. And the cheese between the two pieces of hamburgers meat was so melted, all was left was a slimy yellow like color. Oh my God, it all looked so disgusting, that I threw it away in my kitchen garbage can. And immediately took it out to my outside garbage can. I think it's about time somebody reports these sleazy food preparers to the local Health Department. This place has your typical food. Nothing special. However, the food is really good. The price could use some revisions though. The service was decent and the line was moving at a good speed. They truly show how typical food can also make a really great meal. read more

Stopped here on my way to Mammoth Lakes for a quick bite of lunch. The food was like most Carl's. It was as we expected, good for what it was. The place was clean and the shift manager did a very good job with customer service. I did have to tell him the sink in the men's room was clogged and filling up. Both my husband and I grew up enjoying Carls Jr down in San Diego. After moving to Ridgecrest, we would get burgers there around every 3 months on a lazy weekend evening. We noticed the quality slowly declined. Our orders were routinely incorrect, and the burgers came out looking like someone purposely smashed them. Basically, our food was a joke. Even with the earthquakes not only are they still open, BUT they provided great customer service. I went through through the drive thru and it was pretty fast and both people who helped me were very welcoming and polite. Steer clear of this place. We were caught in that snowstorm a week ago,( dec. 26) and had to stay in Ridgecrest over night. After securing our motel room, we went to this place for dinner. We took our food back to the room. After about two hours, we got very sick and ended up spending the next two days puking our guts out. The guy at the window this morning stiffed me $10 in change. I didn't discover it until I got to Kramer Junction. I called the manager and she said the registers didn't have extra money in them - but offered me money out of her own pocket. "All I have to do" is come by and pick it up, she would leave it in the safe for me. That requires an extra 3-hour drive.
