Capriotti's Sandwich Shop - Impossible cheese steak

Capriotti's Sandwich Shop

I had two goals for this visit: 1) to try the impossible cheese steak (plant-based), and 2) to see if I notice the adding of more meat to all their cheese steaks as their new campaign claims. I ordered a medium impossible cheese steak with onions, mushrooms, and both hot and sweet peppers. My cheese steak came out hot and toasty and I'm happy to report there was noticeably more meat on my sandwich than in the past. Meat kept falling out as I bit into it! As for the impossible part and it being plant-based, it was actually pretty decent and flavorful. I normally don't eat plant-based meat due to the over use of sodium to flavor, but this was pretty close to an actual cheese steak. There were plenty of mushrooms, onions, and peppers and enough melty cheese to leave me walking away full and satisfied.

The young lady didn't seem to have too much patience for our questions even though we were the only ones in line. I think our questions were legit but it seemed like we were inconveniencing her by asking. Our orders seemed to take longer than they shook have but they did bring it right to us. Prices were ridiculously high, especially considering they were on the Idaho side of the state line! Jersey Mike's will remain our go to.

ZIPS is a local franchise & UNFORTUNATELY each ZIPS is run differently... We live in Coeur D Alene Idaho (the downtown ZIPS is TERRIBLE) We travel 20 minutes each way to eat at the Post Falls because it's superior to all others ZIPS except the Rathdrum Idaho one which is also good... Whoever owns THIS Post Falls Zips deserves an industry award... ( I grew up in the restaurant biz) This is exactly what fast food should be... Golden, crispy, fresh, tasty food at a great price... My pictures prove how great their food is at THIS Post Falls location... You can read my review of the CDA Zips for a comparison on what happens when it's done BADLY.. I feel sorry for the customers who say " this is my first time trying Zips... because you just ate at the best one on the area! There should be a line around the block here their food is that good... you might think it's crazy to bring my OWN HOMEMADE Tartar SAUCE,... but that's because I'm a foodie ( their's is too bland ) that's the only improvement I would make.... Again check my photos... for examples of great food here... Thank you Zips for doing it RIGHT at THIS location...Build it and they will come... oh yeah we will travel 18 miles to get great fast food...

Even using GPS and the guy driving knowing the area it is, we almost missed it. Even turning into the parking lot I didn't see it until we were in the drive through. I was in town briefly for work and Midtown Deli was highly recommended to me. I was told "If you can only go to one place for lunch, you HAVE to get lunch here." Needless to say, I was NOT disappointed!! Between the speed of service, friendliness of the staff, price, and quality of the food ... I would give them 6 stars out of 5 if Yelp would allow it. We waited in the drive through for ~10 minutes which wasn't bad for being the 4th car in line. They had a small area indoors it looked like you could order from, but I realized it too late and the drive through was moving faster than most of the big name fast food chains. We looked at the menu on the banner outside and were handed paper menus when we got to the window. The lady taking our order was great -- helpful, polite, and made perfect recommendations. I think of the three recommendations (one being the daily special), our group got all three ... and we all loved the different sandwiches we got. The price for three of us was about the cost of an average dinner for 1 at a restaurant. And I would possibly argue the quality of food here is better. If you blink, you are going to miss it, so keep your eyes open and make a point to stop by and grab some lunch.

I ordered the poke bowl with fresh fish, thinly sliced cucumber, and their dynamite sauce, served over half white and half brown rice. It was absolutely delicious--the fish was buttery and melt-in-your-mouth, perfectly complemented by the crunchy cucumber and bold, creamy sauce. I only wish there had been more cucumber to balance the richness! My husband went for the honey sriracha chicken bowl, which came with fresh pineapple and cucumber. He loved the bold, spicy-sweet flavors and said the heat level was just right. His only critique? He would've loved more pineapple to balance the spice. Overall, Konala delivers on fresh, high-quality ingredients with big, satisfying flavors. The drive-thru was quick and convenient, making it an easy option for a meal on the go. We'll definitely be back to try more!

When you're 2/3rs through a 12 hour drive and you can get hot, fresh smashburgers and skinny fries and frozen custard? Yes please, I'll take two. So I was driving to Cabela's to do some Christmas shopping last month, and I darn near gave myself whiplash when I saw that Post Falls had a Freddy's. I was lucky that there wasn't any police nearby because I'm pretty sure I broke some traffic laws whipping my truck around and getting into the parking lot. I entered with some amount of trepidation. Was my memory of Freddy's just a product of being hungry during a drive? Was their custard going to be as good? Were the fries going to be hot enough to scald my fingers as I scarfed them down? It was as good as I remembered. And the fries were hot and fresh. Even though it's not in my normal area of travel, I'm going to make excuses to go get burgers there.

We ordered two Grilled Chicken Club sandwiches with no mayonnaise, add mustard, and a large fry. Our food arrived quickly but they should have taken more time. I would give the food a 2 but the service a 3. The lobby was cute, but next time we'll try the other new restaurant next door.
