I went to Carl's Jr. tonight with my son. We ordered ONE burger. Just ONE. A Carl's Jr. burger with NO cheese. We were the only ones in line around 9:45pm. No one ahead of us or in front of us. They had problems ringing us up and then said please pull forward and we will bring your food out. ONE BURGER! 20 minutes later after we see 6 cars go in and out my 13 year old son goes in and asks what is going on and they say "oh we forgot about you and we made it wrong here it is". Decided to Door Dash Carl's early this morning because a friend was hungry. It was an excellent idea. Carl's Jr was actually still open at 130 in the morning so we were able to enjoy a good, hot meal even at this very late or early time depending on how you look at it. We both had the hamburger with the jalapeno and we added pepper jack cheese. Wow. Very good. We went with the traditional fries and a large Mountain dew. Very pleased with the meal. It was nice and hot, even being delivered. Tasted really good and it was nice that they were still taking orders that early in the morning. It was a real blessing to be able to feed my friend something hot since she was hungry after a long day. I actually ate too. Very well worth the money. I will definitely order from this location again because of the excellent service and the good food. I enjoyed the food from Carl's more than I do from a lot of their competitors. Food comes out before we could sit down. Which is usually a great thing. But when fries are half warm. Cheese on cheese burger is cold as hell. Then we knew why it came out so fast. This was a very bad experience. I ordered through the drive thru and was told after paying to pull around. I was okay with that because I ordered chicken so I understand it takes time. Great customer service at the window only. The person was very nice. Unfortunately, the food was terrible. The bun was hard and the lettuce old and brown. It's very disappointing they would allow this food to be given to paying customers. I regret not going to KFC. Unfortunately, after 5 hours of driving and back to the hotel, I was too tired to go back and get a refund. I called and talked to Sierra, the manager, to make her aware that the food is going out like that. She argued with me and said the food goes out fresh, made to order and when the lettuce sits a long time it will wilt. It literally sat 5 minutes. I'm really a fan of their hand breaded chicken tenders. Amazingly good. Big juicy chicken meat nicely breaded and fried to perfection. Sometimes you have to wait a few minutes because they don't have them pre cooked. Some of the burgers are pretty good also but go for chicken tenders. read more

I got a yummy chicken and bacon sandwich. Medium soft drinks were big and refillable. They staff kept up with a busy convention crowd. They had Spanish speaking staff for other customers. I went to Carl's Jr. last night location 1026 N. Colorado st., Kennewick wa 99336 at 7:30pm April 5th 2020 ( which was last night) I ordered via drive through and after completing my order I was advised to go park in front of the store and await my order. So I did as advised. Mean while I thought it was kind of weird so I started recording the incident via cell phone. While waiting for my order another when one of the crew members comes out and hands my order to the Other customers ( their in a white pick up to the right of my vehicle which would have been the car behind us. I signal to the crew member to check the order before passing it off be seemed a bit confused as to whom to give it too! However, he failed to do so and just hands the couple my order. A few minutes later he comes out again meanwhile the couple have clearly gone through the contains of the bag rolls it up and the top wrinkling it but not flagging the staffer down to advise him they've gotten the wrong order. So he carries on and goes back in. He comes out with another order goes straight to the White truck again and goes to pass them yet another order without asking. So I yell from my vehicle surely you've given my order which would had been the first one. So he asks for the order back from the couple and reaches out to hand it to me; I said no thank you and perhaps wearing some form of protection like gloves would probably be wise to be wearing handling food at this Stark time as covid -19 is a very serious Illness that doesn't leave much time for its victims. He says ok ok, and then goes inside with the back not even 2 minutes later after standing in the lobby which I can actually see him. Returns and hands me the bag and assured me it's a completely different order. So he reaches into my vehicle and says it's your order I again tell him no thank you and he's lying as I just saw him stand and wait with the same bag in hand along with the same grease stains and same balled up bag. He then says I changed the order but I advised him that first no one is clearly wearing gloves and secondly he gave my order to another car which it sat with them before he even noticed it wasn't their order, at this point mark the manager said I don't do complaints via drive through you'd have to come in the store I said why I don't want to come in being the reason I'm taking drive through. He said I must, - I again told him why I don't want to come in just give me a refund he said I'd have to come in. So I went inside my company insisted we get food and not our money back I shared with them to be quiet and I'll tell them when the approach so of course I did what my lady asked of myself. But not before advising them all to put gloves on I saw a total of three staffers manager mark himself a and a line lead and a front end / window register cashier ( being the young man who Initially Messed up the order. So I ask to speak with a manager this is when I learn the manager on name was mark the same person who said I was complaining about my order. So I tell him his staffer was being deceitful and actually putting myself and the public at risk of exposure from contamination of the covid-19 virus. At this point he said well just redo your order but we're busy sorry and I started thinking he must be seriously ignoring me. I ask for corporate number as a way to signal hey I've done all this joe might as well give me the number to his owner. He finally gives in and yells at the kind what the hell were you thinking. Unknowingly to them I waited outside cause I wasn't feeling like heading homecoming e until I spoke with someone concerning maybe shutting the restaurant down for the night and caught up with the situation and went through the proper steps to insure this restaurant isn't being more a liability then essential service. So I call the number of the owner and didn't get him so I left him a voicemail message at the 5037520820 number supplied at 8:30pm. It's Sunday morning. You're hungover, and the rest of your group is REALLY hungover. You just got burned by a shitty "breakfast" at the Roaring Start "buffet" at the Red Lion. Everyone needs something greasy to lubricate their system after a night of debauchery. You're in Kennewick. What do you do? If you're desperate, you head to Carl's Jr, which is easily a step above your average Mc D's. If you're really lucky, you find a Carl's that has a Green Burrito in it. If you're smart, you just keep driving until you find something healthier. But who's ever that smart in this condition? Not you. Not me. Easily the best thing on the menu at Carl's, or any other fast food joint, is a soft drink. Especially when you're feeling the morning-after burn. Barq's for me, thanks. Then there's something about fast food breakfast that can really hit the spot. That is if you arrive before 11am. We got there at 11:04. Awesome. Against your better judgment, you decide to go with a 5-pack of the crispy ground beef burritos from the Green Burrito half of the establishment (like there's any separation beyond the different colored menus). That sounds like a winning way to start the day. 5 ultra-greasy hot pockets the size of large Jalapeños filled with a finely ground meat product and taco-seasoning-y sauce and deep fried. Yup. Breakfast of champions. I can say with conviction that if you experience the scenario just as I did, it will, at least momentarily, make you feel better. As for what happens down the road (literally) on your 4-hour drive home, I can't be as optimistic. This being the tri-cities I could make some sort of 'nuclear'-laced reference/comparison, but that would seem trite. Suffice to say, it's a little bit of both good and bad. All in all, the fact that a Green Burrito attached to this bastion of processed foods is enough to engender a 3rd star from me (of course this is a relative star in relation to the other nearby options). December 20, 2013 Dear Carl's Jr. Human Resources Management, Yesterday I submitted an online customer satisfaction survey wherein I detailed my appalling experience at restaurant 1100141, located at 1026 N. Colorado, in Kennewick, WA. This is a follow-up to that less than glowing survey. As I described in the survey yesterday, I had been in the restaurant on 12/19 for lunch when I witnessed Mgr. Robin behind the counter and angrily shouting at employees in full view of the customers at the counter. At one point, addressing an employee as "YOU" instead of by name as if to say "you, unimportant person..." Then I watched as she slapped her hand down on a stack of food wrappers, gather one up in a crumpled ball and throw it at one of the employees while continuing to berate them in English and some Spanish. I hope you will agree with me that admonishing employees in front of others, shouting at employees, shouting in front of customers and throwing objects is neither an acceptable management style nor a behavior that should be condoned from any employee of the organization not to mention a person in a management position. Reflecting on my experience of yesterday and understanding perceptions can be misleading and that what I witnessed might have been mere playful banter between crew mates during the lunch crush; I decided that in fairness I should simply ask someone who works there; "What is your opinion of your Manager Robin?" So, today during my daily morning coffee stop on the way to work, I solicited a confidential conversation with a member of the crew whom I have come to know over the last several months of daily patronage to the restaurant. After hearing what they had to say, I wish to further elaborate and convey to you that my initial opinions and observations were not only correct but are strongly shared by the employees that work under her. Regrettably, everything I feared about this manager was immediately evident from the expression of utter dread on the face of this employee. I was informed that she was extremely "difficult to work for" and was not well regarded or liked by the employees because of her lacking people skills and intensely abrasive management style. And, I was told they felt helpless in their misery because Robin was always careful to "cover all her bases" and because she was very "tight" with the Regional Manager, Rod. I elaborated to this employee about how I had recently had an unpleasant experience with Mgr. Robin myself over the price she attempted to charge me for my morning refill on coffee and how she was visibly angered when I pointed out to her the "Refill" button on the register. I was then told that they could no longer offer me a refill price as they were instructed not to by Mgr. Robin in a note left for the crew. Dismayed at this, and so as to absolve them of any responsibility for my intended action of furthering my complaint, I demanded to see this "Note" on the grounds that I wished to see this sudden change in policy. The note was shown to me and I proceeded to take a photograph of it. This note from Manager Robin and allegedly written per Rod, (with no less than six exclamation points as if to convey some sort of "or else" ultimatum) orders the crew to no longer offer a refill price for coffee beverages and further goes on to abolish the practice of allowing customers to come in with their own cup for refilling. Certainly, I do not argue the right of Carl's Jr. to regulate the prices of their products as they see fit. But I can also spend my money as I see fit... I am deeply dismayed with the draconian methods and lacking interpersonal skills of the store management when it comes to their employees. And, I sympathize with those employees who feel absolutely helpless in their plight because they believe the Regional Manager is biased and has too close a relationship with their store manager. Therefore, as a consumer, I reserve the right to not do business with an establishment that fosters this kind of behavior. I can also spread the word of my experience through the countless social media and restaurant review sites until change has been enacted. I believe in my heart that Carl's Jr. is an outstanding organization and a model of the American success story. But in any large organization there can be those who tarnish this reputation little by little and somehow still remain undetected. I invite, dare I say challenge, Carl's Jr. to fully investigate my claims. Review the security camera footage for 12/19/2013 from 12:45pm - 1:10pm and you will see clear evidence of the behaviors I have described. Surprisingly good food and service overall. Chicken strips are awesome. Fries really good too. Their burritos are not bad and I like the salsa bar... That having been said, the salsa flavor is only so-so (I think they could do better), but heck, they have a salsa bar and that's friggin' cool. Their tacos are not that great (especially the chicken tacos)... so just pour on more salsa from the salsa bar. Ok, now they're a little better. The shakes are pretty good. Much better than the typical McDonald's-style fast-food variety. Not a big fan of Carl's stupid advertising; Hot chicks shoving massive sized burgers in their faces. You see the sides of their mouths all stretched out.... It's a little gross and stupid. I guess it's their "thing" but it's just dumb as far as I'm concerned. I originally (and almost) gave them four stars... The staff are great and deserve it. The place has always been really clean when we've eaten there, the servers are friendly and helpful, and the food really is pretty good for the most part. Prices not too bad either. Four stars might be a little high for a typical fast food joint like this so I'm not quite gonna give it to them (it doesn't usually make me go, "Hey, let's go to Carl's cause they're awesome!", but they do try and they have enough of a variety done pretty well that they deserve a good deal of credit... but not everything is all that (the chicken tacos are not good - in my opinion) and, as I pointed out, the advertising we have to look at is gross and stupid, so they lose a star. I went to Carl's in May and ordered about $30 in food for my family and I. They left out 3 of the items (Chicken Tenders, Zucchini, and Jalepeno Poppers,) from my order and I didn't realize it until halfway home. We were unable to come back due to us needing to head to the airport, but I called to let them know I needed a refund. They couldn't give me one. In 2019 you can't credit back a credit card from a same day transaction and receipt number?!? They offered to give me my items when I returned (sure, because they'll remember me right?) Contacted corporate and got a generic response of "management will get in contact." Never happened. Called back when we returned from our trip. Let a manager at the store know I could come get my items and or money/gift card but guess what? They have no idea what I'm talking about. Okay... so I get the district managers in phone number, James. James isn't calling me back. A few more calls to corporate and they tell me that can't do anything, and that management wrote that they did in fact contact me and left messages. I asked for the phone number they have on file, and it was correct so I know this is a lie. We are now in July, and Another call into District manager James this morning leads to yet another unanswered call and voicemail. Being in the food industry I completely understand that wrong food orders happen... it's inevitable. My food order was wrong no big deal, when I asked for it to be corrected the attitude I got left me in disbelief that this woman is allowed to work in customer service. But people have bad days so whatever... I got my "corrected" food order and it was wrong again... when I had to park the car and go in I was confronted with a manager and she tried to argue with me about the order. She made me go back into my car get my receipt and tried to argue some more... like just please give me my correct food... I don't want anything free, I don't want coupons, I don't want a discount, I just want my food. Finally I get my correct burger and then ask for ketchup for my French fries. The manager (I assume the manager because she was wearing a black button up) gave me a huge handful of ketchup... like wtf... now you're being crazy.
